  In the PC crashed, the address book was a .wab file (hidden), but if you can enter the old PC or connect the hard drive to the new PC, I don't see how you could retrieve the addresses.

  I've updated my DTM with the new 1.0.3 (version 16) yesterday.  Do you have a sync with my Storm 2 OS: 5.0.0.607 and my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.3 and Entourage 2008 with the latest service packs.

  I lost all my contacts, and unfortunately I had just deleted the backups around me that I was going to start a new backup set.  (Yes, I know... Time to stupid to do)

  All my contacts are still living on my BB.

  I tried to sync the BB and the Entourage, but who wipe just the contacts out of the storm... which I restored using backups of the BB.

  How can I cause the BB replace the Entourage contacts file and restore my contacts on my computer?

  My sync didn't write either to the Mac address book.

  Depending on how you did the update, it may have created a backup file on your PC. If you did the update via attached USB on your PC (for example, no OTA), search your hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results (date/time of the file) and choose the one to use in the restore. Then, run the DTM software and perform a selective restore:

  If you update OTA or skipped the backup office during the update, then I'm sorry for your loss, but there is nothing to do.

  Phone was sent in for repair. protect the restored backup with BB. signed in ID of BB without problem.  In the uninstall section apps that were missing have been downloaded on the phone until repaired. I was able to update the app world and bbm. All my contacts are gone! What should I do to recover my contacts? What happened to my other apps that have been previously downloaded?

  Check if you have a locally saved backups. You can use the Blackberry Backup Extractor tool to check. If there is, the application can also extract data directly from backup, then you can also recover your contacts. I hope this helps.

  Hi there and welcome to the forums.

  First of all, how you perform the update?  Was it through your computer, or was it via an update wireless?  If it's via your computer and Desktop software, then there is hope to recover contact information (and other data on your device).  You can do this by opening the Desktop software, plug in the unit and then select restore on the file menu (on Desktop Software 6.0).  You can then select the location of the automatic backup file that should have been created.  In General, the automatic backup file is located in your folder My Documents.  The file extension is .ipd (if you want to search your computer).

  In the future, the best way to avoid this problem is to always make a backup of your device before an update of the OS.  It backs up all the application data stored on the device (note: it does not save your applications).

  On a browser on your computer connect iCloud.com and see if your contacts are there. If they are then logout to iCloud on your phone, do a forced reboot and then log in iCloud.

  Force restart:

  Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it rises. You won't lose anything.

  I recommend also updating to iOS 9.2.1

  If your router works fine then you don't need a re-flashing the firmware on your router.

  As far as disable UPnP is concerned, maybe it's a bug in the firmware.

  I guess you had no backup iTunes - if you did - a restore from there to restore your data

  Also have you tried to connect to https://www.icloud.com and search for contacts on the website? If they are not there then the chances are that they are lost

  The connection with the lost phone is intriguing - if the phone still displays in iCloud - so it is maybe not was robbed

  If it isn't - then either it cannot access the internet or that was successfully divided in (very unlikely for an iPhone that is protected by a password and Apple ID credentials)

  Try this step - enable synchronization with iCloud OFF in settings - iCloud - Contacts

  Disconnect from iCloud on your phone

  Do not sign in all in a row

  Force restart it

  See if the files show up - small chance, contact but worth a try

  Once you have checked - you can register in iCloud
