• Help! Lost all the data and contacts while Hotsync-ing

  OK - I'm a fool.  I have a Treo 650 and have had problems of synchronization - lying there.  Today, I had the brilliant idea to delete all my contacts and calendar on my computer and starting over.  I put the phone hotsync and after a few minutes received an error message saying that the sync-ing process was interrupted.  Then I discovered that all the data of contacts and the calendar on my palm has been eliminated.  I thought that I had made a backup, but, just, did a search on my computer (XP Home) and couldn't find any file with .aba.

  I had hotsynced.  There seems not to be problems with the settings on the computer, but the hard reset was eliminated my cable/dock setting.  I've recreated in this regard, hit hotsync on the 650, and he ran through the whole process.  Data on 650 and PC.  Now, to re - create my calendar

  If you have a system that is qualified for the upgrade and then no. you will not lose any data. However, it s recommended you back up your system files and data that you want absolutely without danger, because things can always go wrong.

  I reinstalled my OS (Win 7 Ultimate) and lost all my data of Firefox. I have Xmarks, so I got all my bookmarks back, but I also had another when Xmarks said they would fold (which I don't remember the name of).

  Last time when I reinstalled my OS (years ago), there was a place where I could enter a PIN code to 16 digits and all my passwords, modules, etc., would stay again.... or at least that's how I remember it.

  I understand how my PIN. He goes to Xmarks, the menu options for my passwords. Guess I'll have to get all my Add-ons again (which is probably a good idea because there are many that I have not used and just things idle).

  I am running XP Professional, received this morning the message that a disk may be damaged and running chkdisc. What I did and windows opens ok, but although I can see all the program files are ok and I can get online I lost all my data. Documents, photos and so on. I have supported more until quite recently but if I could get back to the status of yesterdays that would be great. Ideas people.

  Unfortunately I have some bad news for you.

  F11 called the Recovery Manager, where you have several options. The following two options are in the section I need help immediately .

  Microsoft System Restore is a non-destructive process. If you make a mistake, you can restore your system to a restore point at a date that works for you.

  System recovery is, however, a destructive process that removes all the data. Until the process begins it warn you.

  You may be able to recover your data by contracting a data recovery company. It will be quite expensive and no guarantee of success.

  When I updated today to el capitan, I lost all my videos and photos, I have improved on the hoof so to speak because I was helping a friend unlock their iPad disabled (as I did) but I shot myself in the foot in iPhoto on the left side, I had file on folder of ruby birthdays, Christmas, marriage of my daughter throughout her life so far and my grandson I'm gutted, I've been on the forums today but all I got are more recent who were on iCloud about 100 it is everything.

  El Capitan provides a new application called, Photos, which you can import them into your iPhoto library. iPhoto will not work in El Capitan, unless you are able to update the version you have now:
