  • First of all, try this easy fix that can actually work:

  • After the reset, if this does not work by itself, do try and uninstall the driver again, so it can reinstall at startup:

  Reinstall the current validity sensor driver:

  • Control Panel > display icon > device management > biometric devices > Validity Sensor >
  • Right click on the driver Validity Sensor and "Uninstall" (do not remove IT)
  • Restart / reboot the computer and log in
  • The driver will reinstall it connect you to

• W520 - Base system device driver does not

  Greetings.

  This morning at the start of my ThinkPad W520, the player no longer works. A glance in the (Windows 7, 64-bit) Device Manager shows the 'Base system device' and points out that "the drivers for this device are not installed." Trying to get Windows Installer natively drivers does not work. Some googling shows others with similar problems in the past; recommendations include installing a card reader driver Ricoh for Windows XP or Vista; It did not work. Other drivers available include 8ass82ww.exe and 8axv51ww.exe - these don't work. Installation of the own Support Center Lenovo software shows that the Base system device driver is not installed. I can't find a way to install it. I tried installing driver exe files and searching the same files using the browse-for-the window Windows files during the installation of the drivers for the Base system device.

  Seriously, * beep *? I lost more than two hours on Sunday morning trying to solve this problem. It worked yesterday. I did install new software crazy, or any software besides. Why this happens and more importantly, how can I FIX it?

  This morning, ran Windows automatic update; I don't know if the updates were designed to the card reader, but the driver is now installed and the operation of the device. Too many updates to list them all, but thank you all for your help. Between the time I opened this thread and now probably I rebooted my machine 30 times and tried all combinations of drivers + restart. Then, poof, this morning, it is fixed.

• HP ENVY Notebook PC m6: biometric device problem

  After I've updated for Windows 10, if I leave my active biometric device, my mouse pointer/cursor continuous flickering as if to show the system is busy.

  I'm on the latest version of the driver for my hardware. Now, I am unable to use my fingerprint as my password.

  The only way I knew to prevent this was to turn off my biometric from the Device Manager.

  So I'm more able to make use of my material, even if its there on my laptop.

  Please help me.

  HP Simple pass seems to work, but the problem is that whenever the biometrics is selected, the mouse pointer continues to flicker.

I looked in your question about your m6 HP ENVY Notebook and questions with the Simplepass works not properly. I suggest you uninstall fingerprint driver or reinstall the version updated driver and HP SimplePass ultimate installed and reinstalled the latest version for Windows.   Are you sure that the USB is not bad? Also have you tried on some other computer USB3 ports to see if those who can see the drive? Looks like your USB is not USB3 if it can read the disk HARD USB3 but not the USB3 Flash in question. Also make sure that your laptop ports are USB3 ports?   Probably the installation media itself is corrupt. If your Alienware is preinstalled with Windows 7, then you should be able to reinstall using the recovery partition:

  New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

  To restore the image while preserving the data files:
  Turn off your computer.1.
  Disconnect all devices connected to the computer (such as USB key, 2 printer and so forth) and remove any recently added hardware in-house. NOTE: Do not unplug the AC adapter cable.

  I suggest to open the Device Manager and in the view tab, click Show devices. Remove all instances of the device, and then restart.

  We build a Windows 7 SOE for a large company that takes care of many models of computers laptops hp. Each of these laptops comes with a fingerprint reader, and we would like to use the built in support of fingerprint (biometric devices) reader that is running windows 7. The models that we support are as follows:

  • HP 6910P
  • HP 6930p
  • HP 8510w
  • HP 8530w

  We tried using the drivers of fingerprint Authentec (aes2501a) on the hp website, but after the installation, the biometric device option is not in windows 7. We contacted HP about this and they said that we must use the driver coming from windows update before this option appears. After installing the driver from windows update, the option of the biometric device seemed that hp said. Therefore, because of the way that our SOE is built, we demand that the executable that is identical to that on windows update. Anyone know where we can find packages both x 64 and x 86 for this device driver, which are the same as those found when you go to update windows on these machines running windows 7? Let me know if you need any clarification.

  Step 1: Locate the stand-alone file by inserting the device model number
  a. visit http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
  in the search box, enter the model number of the perimeter search of the driver.
  c. download the right driver for your windows and install it successfully on all computers.

  Note: If there is no available stand-alone file, I'm afraid you'll have to visit update of Windows on all computers and the installation of the update done or contact the device manufacturer to obtain the driver.

  I just bought a HP Pavilion all-in-one PC with Windows 7. He asks a driver for my Epson Stylus NX130 all in one printer/copier/scanner. The last time that happened, it is with my other program Windows 7 on another computer, and I had to go out and buy the active printer, I have, because it also called a device driver. And I'm not willing or able to pay for the download that is supposed to address. I hate hating now Windows 7 and Windows XP! Why is happening and do I just dump Windows 7, because as far as I can tell, not even using the corresponding products/devices/equipment manufacturers is a help. What should I do? Any help would be appreciated!

  You do not have to pay to download any driver, if you have installed any third-party driver tool or program optimizer based on CSSTidy uninstall before cause you more problems
