  What is the brand and model of your printer?  HP?

  What is your Windows operating system?  Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7?

  Start > type services.msc

  Press enter

  Scroll down to print spooler

  Right-click on print spooler and select stop

  Wait for Windows to stop the print spooler

  Close the Services window

  Go to control panel > printers folder

  Right-click on the printer icon and select open

  You see the print documents in the queue awaiting?

  Click on file > select Cancel all Documents

  Open the Device Manager

  Start > right click on my computer

  Select manage

  Select Device Manager

  Click on the + sign next to Ieeee... compatible printer

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + next to imaging devices

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to printers

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to Bus USB controllers

  Right-click on the printer driver and select uninstall

  Restart the computer

  Windows will reinstall the drivers

  When you are finished, go back to services and restart the print spooler

  Start > type services.msc

  Press enter

  Scroll down to print spooler

  Right-click on print spooler and select start

  Wait for Windows to start the print spooler

  Close the Services window

  Try printing again

  If the above fails, follow these steps:

  If you have not saved the document before the reboot - and Windows always give a lot of warning before restarting automatically - while the file disappeared.  There is no way to recover; System Restore does apply to system files, not data.

  Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

  Recovery methods:

  If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
   
  If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

  A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

  Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   Is it possible that your files are still there but have
  become hidden?

  Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.
  ... To check "Show the hidden files and folders" / apply / OK.

  I believe you are referring to layer model of form field that can be applied to the upper left side overview page. The option is available in the business account only and not in individual account (sending to the signature).

  I have not used my touchpad for mths... yesterday, after I take took my touchpad fees it and try to use my touchpad, I discovered that I don't remember the PIN to the lockscreen.

  I went online and google for help and found something called WebOS Doctor. But I m cannot be used, the webos doctor can't detect my touchpad when I connect it to my office. (maybe because it to connect to my office in charge mode)

  I tried to reboot or shutdown my touchpad using the power button, but failed too. I saw a menu to stop but the screen lock me disable to select one of the options...

  I need serious help here... I have to empty my touchpad to helpless until I can fix this?

• Lost access to docs after the PC recovery

  I hope you can help. I got my PC successfully several times using the recovery hard disk partition. Previously, I took the effort to back up all the files, but on this occasion I chose to use the recovery option standard, which is supposed to make the recovery, but save all data. So stupidly, I didn't back up all my files. However, when I now look for my files, they are not visible under My Documents. When I look in the c:doucuments - and - settings I find there are three directors and a directory of all users. All except one of my pictures, and my music show (all empty apart from the standard HP stuff) and the rest, HP_Administrator, does not allow me access. I suspect that is where my files are, but how can I now access them? Looking at the use of the my C drive; drive still seems to contain all my data. With the help of the search function cannot find the files however.

  Hi Nuccii. Thanks again for your reply but your version of XP must be different from mine that I do not see the Security tab that you reference. I checked the link you are referring to, which seems to address the problem, but I have already decided that the best thing is to stick with just a backup folder months I've had, which contained most of my essential files and manually update the extent possible from there.

  It seems that many people have encountered the same problem, I think it's impressive on such a fundamental procedure. I can't believe it, otherwise than by personal experience, HP/Microsoft could get it wrong.

• Files lost in my Doc after using the option "arrange by".

  In My Documents, when I change the layout of the files by clicking on "arrange by", I lose all my files or documents.  It occurs when I change 'Name' to 'Update'.  I can right click on the folder, go to 'Restore the previous version,' that does not work, but files appear at the bottom of the page under 'Network' in a folder or what that named "Localhost".  I can't move to their appropriate folder.

  Sometimes I can close libraries, start all over again and the files are correctly in place, but when I change the setting such as described above, they are gone again. Next time, it won't work.
  I must say that this began after I downloaded some pictures of my phone and was struggling to do that.  I have updated and search (MS Security Essentials) virus, which is a nothing found.
