Lost my cd of restoration for my Satellite A110

Hi I have a Toshiba Satellite A110-275 and it needs a restore but I lost my restore cd. How would I go to get a replacement from you guys? Cheers.

Hello

I Don t think that none of the users of the forum will send a recovery CD. We give each other advice and suggestions, but that's all.
If you need a new recovery and then contact a local authorized service partner and ask them, they will surely sell / send you a.

If you need help to find a service partner, then you can check it out here on:

Good luck

I assume that you will need to contact the ASP in your country to get the Toshiba Recovery CD. The European Toshiba backup online store would provide the recovery CD only the most recent series of laptop.
To get an older recovery CD, you need a help of ASP.

  • Is it possible to update the BIOS for the Satellite A110 (PSAB0) and Windows7?

    Hi all

I recently installed Windows 7 on Toshiba Satellite A110 (PSAB0).
The version of the system BIOS is v1.30
I want to Flash the BIOS for you last version v2.0.
This version is released in January 2009, before the introduction of Windows 7.

There are two versions of the BIOS download, one "for Vista only' and one 'OS independent.
I think I have to go to the operating system independent.
    Link: [update BIOS | http://www.toshiba.nl/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EN&selCategory = 8 & selFamily = 192 & selSeries = 236 & selProduct = 661 & STAS hortMod = 478 & language = 1 = 12 & selOS & selType = 4 & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & we eDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 24 & selectedLanguage = 12 & type = 4 & page = 1 & ID = 66230 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

Independent of the OS has warning: + "this Bios is NOT compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista!" + "

So here's my question: this BIOS version is compatible with Windows 7?

    Thank you very much!!

    AJ.

    Hello

I think that this BIOS (v2.0) is not released for Windows 7 and that it has also not been tested with Windows 7. This BIOS has published 21.01.2009 and Windows 7 was released on July 22, 2009. However, on the other hand it s not mentioned that this BIOS is not compatible with Win 7.

But the fact is that only Windows 7 doesn't is NOT supported on this laptop.

Windows 7 drivers are not out on Sat A110, but this does not mean that you couldn't install Win 7 on this device. Of course, you can install the Win 7 system, but Toshiba does not provide any Win 7 software for this series.

    Back to BIOS update:
In your case I would try not to update the BIOS if the laptop works properly.
Why? Because the update of the BIOS is still a technique sensitive and you could damage it the motherboard if something goes wrong during the update of the BIOS.

  • Need hard drive caddy and hinges for my Satellite A110 - ML4 Pro

I need a shopping cart and hinges for a HDD Satellite Pro A110-ML4
I was wondering if anyone knows the number of pieces for them.
Or if there are other Toshiba models that had compatible parts
Or if anyone knew a website that has what I'm looking for
    Thank you

It is difficult to find these parts for old models of laptops.
This former Satellite Pro is similar to the Satellite M70, so you can use the two missing parts for the two models of laptops.

In my opinion better chance of getting is to search on eBay.
    Check it out.

  • Question about upgrading RAM for a Satellite A110-133

The following ram would work on the laptop mentioned above?

    Kingston KVR533D2S4 / 2 G 2048 mb so-dimm, 200 pin

    Thank you.
    Any input would be appreciated

    Hello

This page might be useful for you:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=24868&ft=m&St=3

    You need DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM barrettes.

But I doubt that the Kingston KVR533D2S4 / 2G 2048 mb would be fine because the A110 can be upgraded up to 2 GB, and in this case, you can only use 2 x 1 GB RAM modules

  • Re: I lost the recovery disc 1 for Satellite P10

Hi there, my son lost the recovery disc 1 for its Satellite P10.
We got disc 2 (drivers) but no disc 1.

Where can I get an another restore disc 1. and what it cost around.

    Post edited by: merdat

    Hello

Usually you could order the ASP in your country, but I m not very well that if you will be able to order this disc because the P10 is an old notebook series and possibly the recovery discs are not more available for this model.

However, you must contact the ASP in your country to get a confirmation.
Maybe you are a lucky man and the CD is available.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A110 - BIOS for Win7 and FN key features

    Hello
I installed the new Windows 7 on my computer laptop toshiba a110 and surprisingly almost every device was dected and installed by win7. There is problem with PCMCIA driver for Vista solved the problem. But I always have problems with the function keys and of the extra buttons. Do you know which driver should I install to operate the keys Fn?
Either way, I would ask if toshiba will be dedicated for toshiba satellite A110 Windows 7 drivers?

I have another problem with the BIOS.
I have seen that there is new bios update available for my laptop but I don't know which version should I use for WINDOWS 7?
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba Windows Vista 32 bit 5, 40 - WIN World Wide
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba OS independent 2, 00 - WIN World Wide

I thought that if I have win7 OS independent bios update should be fine for me, but in this version, there is a warning, that 2, 00 - bios WIN is not dedicated for users of Vista. I've heard that Windows 7 is based on Vista OS so I don't completely now which version should I choose.

    Waiting for help
    Simon

I assume that your Satellite A110 will not be supported for Win7. This means that you probably won't be able to find any driver, tool or utility designed for Win7.
In my opinion, you should be happy that Win7 works and you have no serious problems with the physical property of work. Then you probably need to have lived without some specific features of Toshiba FN options, but most of them, you can use in different contexts.

On the BIOS I say not a lot but, as far as I know, Toshiba will offer no special Win7 BIOS update for old models of laptops and if everything works well, you have to update BIOS at all.
In any case for me, it makes sense to use the latest version of the BIOS that is designed for Vista OS.

  • My Satellite A110-180 always do a RAM test

    Hello.

I can't allow a quick start (start without the RAM test) in my cell A110-180. I upgraded my RAM from 1 GB to 3 GB and I would like to disable the standard ram test when the laptop starts up because now becomes very slow. I've updated the original Bios HTW20 V1.30 for Bios HTW20 V2.00 but in the new does not have this option either.

    Can you help me?.

    Thanks in advance.

    > I upgraded my RAM from 1 GB to 3 GB and I would like to disable the standard ram test when the laptop starts up because now becomes very slow.
How does something like this happen?
After RAM upgrade boot is actually not different as before. Portable operations are faster.

Can you please tell us which module RAM do you have used for the upgrade?
I checked the laptop computer's specification and memory modules compatible RAM for your Satellite A110 are:
    1 GB-PA3411U-1M1G
    2GB - PA3513U-1M2G

  • Re: Satellite A110: what motherboards that I can use

    Hello

I've got Toshiba A110 with faulty motherboard.
New is hard to find and expensive.

Is there any other motherboard (another model) that can adapt to my A110 cases?

    Thanks much for the reply

    Xiaomei

Unfortunately, you must use the motherboard that is specially designed for portable Satellite A110 series. Other motherboards are not compatible!

So you have only two options.
Either you are going to buy a new motherboard or a used

The new would cost a small fortune and that's why I recommend you a few offers on the Ebay site

    Welcome them

  • I lost my disc to restore system for Satellite Pro M70

    Hello

I lost my system restore disc for my Satellite Pro M70.
If anyone can help with possible solutions. I want to restore it for my sister to take to College.

    Thank you
    Greg

    Possible solutions?
Well you can take the Microsoft Windows disk and can install windows by using the original Microsoft disc. All the necessary drivers and tools are placed on the European driver Toshiba page.

I think you will not be able to order this disc of the local ASP or on this site https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx because the M70 is a little older

So the real solution can be an installation of the OS by using MS Win drive
