Lost photos

In 2011, I lost all my photos in a tornado of Joplin Mo. My computer, my all in one printer/scanner both have been destroyed. I had scanned and saved a lot of pictures on my printer/scanner and the computer. It was also recorded and I had downloaded all the Info for it. I am hoping somehow that I might still be able to find these images if they were registered on the internet. I don't know if they were saved on my computer or if they have been recorded on the internet.

Thank you

Anita Lebeau

Hi Anita,.

I understand that you have a few questions about your all-in - one scanner and the pictures you have scanned using said all in one. I will do my best to answer this question for you.

Unfortunately, unless you have actively downloaded the photos on a website, they would be lost. I hope that you are able to retrieve some of your photos with family and friends!

Please let us know if we can ever help with something else.

Happy holidays!

    Hello

Recently, I got my iphone 5 after it said connect to itunes after having tried to write in my access code. I could not access my phone with password so I decided to put it in recovery mode. If they were not saved or synchronized on the cloud, they are gone. You can't find them at this stage.

  • Recovery of lost photos crushed

I cut and pasted pictures of my Nikon DSLR to a picture file using windows exporer.  These are called in numerical order.  (DSC_121, etc.)  The next day, I cut and pasted a new batch of photos to this folder and for some reason, the camera numbered these photos with some of the same figures, so that my original DSC_121 file has been replaced by a new DSC_121 file.  So I lost a group of images.  I don't have a screen asking permission to replace.  Is that what I can do to recover lost photos?  I run Windows 7.

    Hello

Do not run this program without checking with the authors and others in their forums, because it
perhaps other methods to use that can help recover more if it is at all possible. Do not forget to
Ask for advice how to proceed and if other programs are offered. Another good source would be
is the Nikon Support. The problem as you say it, it's that the photos were crushed with the same
name of file that adds more complexity to the mix.

  • Transfer of photos to an external hard drive, lost photos

I had a new hard drive LaCie today, connected and started a new folder on the drive to store my photos.  In Lightroom, I dragged my first record, one that contained about 2 000 images on the new folder on the external drive.  He began to transfer files, but stopped after 532 files and said that everything was transferred.  Photos of ~ 1500 remaining seem to have disappeared - they are not appearing on my laptop or external hard disk.  Could someone help me through this and understand what has happened to my photos?  I have transferred the wrong way?

Missing 6 months worth of pictures of my kids, HELP!

    In the future, it would be wise not to move the photos in Lightroom. Instead, you can move the pictures in your operating system and then reconnect in Lightroom using Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing;

For now, you must restore the photos of your backups.

Hey people Adobe, perhaps you should look into this new.

  • I lost "photo library", how do I restore it?

I just tried to open the application 'Photos' (or icon) on my Mac and received a message that says "Photos could not find the system 'photos library.photoslibrary' how can I do to recover it?  I have about 10,000 photos which are lost!   I run a separate hard disk as a time machine which is connected permanently, but I've never had to use it before.  Any help would be appreciated.   Mike George

Photos first launch with down option and check to see if there is more than one library in the open window:

If it is not shown it follow these steps:

Download and run to find any file to search for a file named "historicalmarker.plist" in the name of the file. It is a file that is found only in the library of Photos.

FAF can find areas that Spotlight can not as invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there is a library of pictures hidden somewhere on your harddrive FAF will find.

Finally, if you still can't find the library, go to your pictures folder and launch Time Machine.  Go back until you see the library of Photos in the pictures folder.  Select it and use the restore button:

  • If I remove iCloud library in my iPhone (but not on my Mac) I lost photos?

I have iCloud library enabled on my iPhone and Mac.

Everything works perfectly, great synchronization, all photos back available for me to see 10 years.

Now I have run out of space on my iPhone, and my photos (despite the optimization of storage on iCloud photo library) are the main reason for this.

If I disable iCloud photo library on my iPhone, but keep it on my Mac, what will happen?

Do I lose all the photos?

Once I did, if I delete the pictures of my phone are they so just deleted from my phone, but not my iCloud?

    Appreciate the help, thanks

If you disable iCloud photo library on your iPhone, you will see more pictures on this device. iCloud photo library on your Mac will still have pictures. You should not lose all the photos from your Mac, but make a copy of your library beforehand should put your mind at rest until you can verify that he has lost. Delete the pictures taken on your iPhone will not affect your Mac or iCloud, but neither future pictures taken on your iPhone will go into iCloud photo library.

  • after virus infection lost photos and files

    Original title: the lost images

I had a virus on my lap top and some files lost but was able to recover them through the system restore but did not recover the photos there at - it another way to recover them?

    Hello

What operating system is installed on your computer?

Once removed the HDD data can't be recovered. However, you can use your favorite search engine to browse third-party data recovery software and use this software to recover data.

Note: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk. You can also view the following link to recover lost or deleted files and try the steps:

    Also applies to Windows 7.

  • 'MOVE AND REPLACE' HELP! Lost photos!

I downloaded photos on my pc dell of my camera and then transferred to another series after that. When trasferring the second batch of photos in the same folder as the first was in I 'moved & replaced' them and now they are lost. Is there a way I can recover those that have been replaced without removing those which the replaced? Thank you

Looks like the second batch file names were the same
as the first batch (this happens if the camera is not set to number
    files consecutively)

This means that the first group of files has been crushed and they
not be recoverable from your hard drive.

However... There is a small chance that you are able to recover
files to the memory card by using the following free software:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

  • How can I go back hundreds of my lost photos?

My photo file is available, sub folders and files are titled as they were, but now empty.  I have searched and tried several restore, but no luck, my backup failed. I lost hundreds of photos.  Apreciate any help and ideas.  Thank you!!

Just go ahead and do the scan of malwarebytes, update it before it scans, full scan.

Then do the same, the other free scanner

Then have windows security essentials installed, and have to do a complete analysis.

Now you can double check your settings, you do not want to back up all the bugs.

  • files lost photo and video

My office is different and all my video, photo and downloads are gone I found them using windows.old, but they left this morning and I do not remember how I found them before-(age 70, not very tech saVVY) - he says "you connect under a temporary profile"... has never seen that before - programs I had installed are still there-(zonearama vidéo pad etc.) - what could I do to open a session as I did before and be able to save pictures - whenever I restart my computer, all files are gone-help-grampa needs her back-some videos are invaluable for my grandchildren

When you see this message, it means that your user (the name used to connect) profile is corrupt - Windows cannot load the profile because of the corruption then Windows creates a new temporary profile, so you can connect... and then you can retrieve your orders from your corrupt profile.

When this happens, you will see your desktop for the most part empty and/or a lot of things that you're used to seeing not be there and if you start trying to find or use things (programs, photos, emails, documents, music, etc.), you won't find them because these things do not belong to the temporary profile that you are using at the moment.

It looks generally much more scary that it is and chances are very good that all your stuff is still on your system but you won't see her unless you know where to look for it.

Open the computer, and then double-click the hard disk that Windows is installed on (it is usually drive C :), double-click the users folder and look at the folders that are there and you should see a folder with the same name as your damaged account.  If your original login was Tom, there will be a folder under users calledTom and this is where all your stuff is

You cannot identify you as user Tom because that account is corrupted but all your stuff is still down there and you can navigate around here to see what you think has been 'lost', but it's still there.  Now you know where all your 'missing' stuff and I hope you feel better now.

Now, you must create a new user account that will be how you log in the future, and copy all the stuff from your old user profile to the new user profile you created (except the corrupted files).

Microsoft has a Knowledgbase article that tells you how to recover your old profile things, but it helps to understand some things first (they are in the article).

You must create a new user (Control Panel, user accounts) that will be the one you will use to connect to Windows in the future, but you may not be connected to the account during the copy (many files will be used).  If you do all of your 'work' copy of either the temporary profile you use now or use the administrator account.

So now you have three user accounts:

Your damaged - user account that keeps all your stuff

The new account user you want to create that will be the receptacle for your stuff

The temporary user account you use now (or the administrator account)

Do not forget that you be connected to the new user account while you are doing this work.  You may need to create a new account to use to do the job... which is correct, but since you can delete them later when things have improved.

If you are just a user like most of us, that your computer is not in a domain, if none of these references in the article apply to you.

  • Lost photos - Windows 7

I lost ~ 1 700 photos of my wife - A58 Sony camera. It was the first time I tried to download the pictures from this camera. I used the default program that turned on when I plugged in the camera by USB. I left the House, while it was ongoing. My bad - I changed the settings to control the path of the file. I simply accepted default settings and upward went the photos.
Now, I can not find them anywhere. I should not have done it excited on my way the door...
    Where are they by default?

Start by going to Windows Explorer and clicking on the photos.  That will open your photo library.  You see the pictures?

Otherwise, go to the start menu and type *.jpg and then wait a little. When you say "See more results" click on it.  It should show you the photos on your computer and where they are.

In addition, you still have the camera?  Unless you deleted photos off the memory card, or reformatted, they must stay in the camera.  Have you tried plugging the camera again?  Who can resume the import, but it will also show you where he tries to save the photos to so you could look there.

  • Lost photo library

I have multiple iPhoto libraries that I regularly accesses via iPhoto. However, I opened a these libraries in Photos iPhoto, which succeeded, but I now cannot locate the original photo library. Y at - it somewhere that I can search to locate the missing library and then restore on Photos? Also, is there a satisfactory means to merge libraries (i.e. old libraries of iPhoto with current photo library, assuming I can find the latter)? I used iPhoto Library Manager to merge previous iPhoto library in the past. Apple provides a tool to merge in the latest version of Photos?

Photos library is normally located in your pictures folder. However, if it has been moved, you can locate it by a Spotlight search

or now the option/alt key when you start Photos, this will bring up the dialog to choose library, which will show at all the

Photos, iPhoto and opening libraries that are on your mac or on the connected drives. Select to open pictures.

With regard to the merger of libraries I'm not sure I think that you can not open the library up in pictures, export the images to a folder

then import that their return in the library that you want to merge. Or you can export to iPhoto an iPhoto library,

in a file and then import them into your photo in photo library.
