  Anyone had success install PMB Portable on a Mac? I tried 3 times, including following the steps on the Sony support page and every time my Mac hang up and PMB Portable does not install. Any ideas?

  I solved my problem this way - not sure it would work for others. Here's what worked for me. I downloaded the update of PMB Portable (for Mac) of Sony, then closed PMBP file on the camera (Unlike Sony instructions), then started the installation of the update. This resulted in a prompt, I had not seen before. He said there was not enough space on the storage of the camera to install the update (which was probably due to the failure of previous attempts). He asked if I would like to delete the PC camera Windows version. I clicked 'Yes', and the rest went without a problem.

  Check with the manufacturer of the laptop to the latest vista drivers and software for your model

  If this does not it, contact them and ask them if they support your webcam when using vista

  Microsoft's XP cd won't work, unless it's a XP OEM disc (that microsoft not distribute themselves). Also, you would need XP series No. to activate the XP operating system which you do not have.

• Lost all the games that came with vista

  I have a Vista Home Premium on an HP laptop. Earlier this week free cell began acting strange, now I can not find my games in the Games folder. I looked at the other issue and followed the advice to ensure that the games have been checked (they are). I restored to a point when I knew that Free Cell worked properly for me (used a restore 4 days ago point: a system checkpoint).  Also did a full restore of the computer about (because of driver problem with the touchpad) 8 days ago. I don't have a copy of vista, as the hp computer asks me to do the restore DVD.

  On my other computer (built) that uses vista the same thing happened, a few days ago. I followed the advice on the forums. This time I unchecked the box features Windows, restarted, recheck the boxes and loaded the game from the disc, rebooted again, and they did not always show up.

  I am running AV on the two computer (KASPERSKY), the laptop has no other third party programs other than the full restore hp programs, I have not loaded in the files (images, music, office files). The Office has a few games (lotro/ddo) and some third party programs (ccleaner, firefox, ventrio and Skype). All the software on both computers are updated, and Vista is updated to SP2.
   
  I'm at a lost on what to do next.

  Am really sorry to hear that the built-in games do not work.
  Please, try the following steps:
  1. click on the Start button
  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories
  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option
  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option.
  5. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter
   
  Once its finished, restart the computer and check with the games, also try to reinstall them using programs and features and check what is happening.

  Long message... I hope the info is useful:

  VOB (as you know) is the DVD video format.

  You can not convert video to a format of photo as
  .jpg and retrieve your original images. And...
  None... copies of original source files are not
  archived anywhere on the DVD.

  A method (and probably not near what you)
  hope) would be to make the screenshots
  (capture) video. The resolution and
  sharpness of the capture will not equal
  the originals.

  The free VLC Media Player can read your
  VOB files.

  For the installer for your screen Capture... Open VLC and
  Reach... Tools / Preferences / video button / video
  Instant image section.

  In the directory field... Search for and select a folder
  to save your captures po (for example... you could
  Create a new folder on your desktop and select)

  TO... Prefix... check the box... Sequential numbering.

  TO... Format, choose JPEG or PNG.

  Finally... on the left, click on the Save"" button.

  Now... Play the video and pause by pressing on your
  SPACEBAR when you see a screen you want to capture.

  To capture the screen... type...  SHIFT + S

  Press space to advance to the next photo...
  ect... etc...
