Lost sound on my computer (CD player and iTunes)

The sound on my computer (CD player and iTunes) suddenly disappeared.  When I try to play iTunes, the white point that usually does not move through the gray bar at the top of the screen to show how much game time has been/is left.  Any thoughts, anyone?  Thank you very much

  • Lost sound on my computer

HP Pavilion a6554f. Windows Vista Home version. After you run a disk cleanup, defragmentation and removing "old" restoration programs, I have no sound. The speakers are built into my monitor and I use no external plug-ins (e.g. headphones). I have checked and confirmed that all the cables between my monitor and the computer are connected. The speaker icon (bottom right) is turned on and activated (speakers not on mute). I ran the test of sound diagnosis and speakers left and right don't make no sound. What else can I do to find and solve my problem? Thank you.

PS I apologize if my first post is deficient. I ran the tutorial post videos but, obviously, I couldn't hear anything that was said.

Solved my problem. My grandson had turned off the volume directly on the monitor. No further assistance needed at this time

    Hello

1 have. what measures you tried to reinstall Windows Media Player?

    2. How did you remove Windows media Player?

Windows Media Player is a feature that cannot be deleted. It is integrated with Windows 7. This feature may have been disabled and you need to turn it on.

Steps to reactivate Windows Media Player:

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
    b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    c. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    d. restart the computer.

  • Windows Media Player (and iTunes, for that matter) sometimes stops

While playing the music playback will stop what seems like minutes sometimes. It begins finally to replay without any intervention from me. I'm running a valid copy of Windows 8 Enterprise. Has anyone seen this or nobody knows how to fix?

It worked. I was able to isolate it from the presence of a service called PST, Motorola, likely part of its MotoCast service.

  • How to transfer my music FROM Media Player to iTunes?

Hello, I have an iPhone and I want to use my iTunes.  When I used the easy transfer cable he put all my music in Media Player and iTunes not. I can't get Windows 7 to allow me to transfer my music and video from Media Player to iTunes.  How can I do this? And choose "Import a file" does not work.  Thank you!

Open iTunes, in the section of the library, click on music.

Open the folder where your music is stored, probably the standard place which is the library, my music.

Highlight all the music files that you want on your iPhone, just right-click on it, select copy, then back in iTunes, select Paste.  You can also drag and drop if you find that easier.

  • I have NO SOUND on my computer and the Windows Media Player error message is C00D11BA.

To try to solve the problem that I discovered in the Audio tab in sounds and Audio devices properties, there is No default unit in the area of audio playback and No default unit in the peripheral zone of MIDI playback.  In addition, the general tab in the properties of the device Audio USB says "this device is working properly" and that it is enabled as described in the use of the device box. The general tab of the device Audio USB also said the "Driver is enabled and working properly."

I am able to record dictation through a program of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

I'm on Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3, and before that I lost sound had not recently added that any hardware or software even though I may have uninstalled some rarely used program.

    Hello

The usual cause of the error C00D11BA is when the sound card drivers are not installed or outdated.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device, such as a map his or her controller.

    Method 1:

You can follow this link & check if the problem persists.

  • I can't seem to get the sound on my computer in the taskbar of bottam he's here and up to 100%

Don't know what happened, but I have no sound on my computer. I have the microphone in the taskbar and when I click it it is 100% how can I get sound

    HELLO Shirley,
Here are a few steps that I want you to try:
If Windows Media Player seems to work fine, but you cannot hear the audio, you will have a problem with your speakers or sound card. Check all audio connections if you are using external speakers and to ensure that sound levels are defined correctly and not cut. Use Device Manager to make sure that your sound card works correctly and is selected as the audio device by default.

    Verification of the sound settings

Click on Start , then Control Panel
Select the material and audio and noise
Under playback.. What icons you see?
Click Properties and then click headset/speakers
According to the levels... is at 100% and not CUT?
Under Advanced... What is the default format?
Click test... do you get a sound?

    Reinstallation of Windows Media Player

Go to "turn on or off Windows features.
    * Disable features Media: Windows Media Player
    * Reset
    * Provide characteristic Media: Windows Media Player

    hope this helps,
    Eddie
