Lost the disk for recovery of Windows 8 for Satellite C855 1v9
Hello
I bought a new laptop (toshiba satellite) 8 original windows pre-installed,
However, I wanted to repartition my hard drive and without warning I deleted the recovery partition, therefore, the laptop could no longer starts.
So I asked a professional if he could get my laptop to its original factory condition as it was when I bought it (with 8 pre-installed... original windows) in order to sell it later and he told me that it is impossible since I do not have the recovery disk, and the only way to make it work is by installing windows 7.
I have lack of knowledge in it staff that's why, I haven't had not to make a copy of a recovery disk.
Now, as I intend to sell my laptop, I was wondering if there is a possible way to sell me the recovery disk that allow me to back up my laptop to its factory condition (with original windows 8 pre-installed and pre-loaded software of course), and the estimated total costs that I pay.
PS:

Lost the disk for Satellite M115
Does anyone know if Toshiba M115 came with a driver and OS disk when it was purchased?
I need to restore my drivers and I can't find the disk and I don't remember having ever one.If I haven't lost it, does anyone know if Toshiba never sells additional disks and for how long?
Thank you!
Hello
The M115 Sat seems to belong to the series of the Toshiba laptop we.
I m not very well, but I think the recovery disk came with the laptop.
Only a few new models of laptops are delivered without the recovery disk because these laptops supports a recovery option of HARD drive and in such cases, it is possible to create a recovery DVD own s.You should be able to order the recovery of the ASP disk in your country.
But if this drive is no longer available, then you might try reinstalling the operating system using the Windows XP CD own. The drivers of Toshiba and tools are released on the Toshiba driver page we.Welcome them

Lost the disk for Installation of Windows Vista - can I use my friends with my product key?
I am running Windows Vista on my computer at home, but I had this for a few years, and he began to have very slow, so I decided to completely erase the hard drive, now I know how to do this, but I need to re - install the OS when I'm done, but I've lost my Windows Vista installation CD , even though I still have my code/product key - it would be OK to use my drive of Windows Vista to friends with my product code?
I tried this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/326246and he do not seem to answer my question - I'm trying to replace my copy, I just want to know if it is OK to use my friends?
Yes.
As long as it's a DVD from Microsoft and not a computer Manufacturer'e Recovery DVD.
Read the information below.
Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Restart the disk for Satellite S1400-253 s
My computer has been attacked by some virus hardcore, and so I decided to reconfigure my machine to start with a clean slate. However, I could not find the disc that came with my machine, because I recently moved to USA temporarily (and I probably forgot to bring with me, of course!) so I used my drive of roommates with windows, etc., that came with your dell computer.
Needless to say that my computer is not a return to normal and claims that he doesn't have a network card, while he was perfectly able to go on the internet before.
I tried to download the drivers from the site to the right of my pain, but nothing helped. Anyone know how I can get my hands on another drive to remake my machine, one that will have the drivers etc for my machine?
Re: Replacing disk for Satellite C855-13D
Hi all
The HD in the laptop of my wife made some rattling noise informing us that an inminet accident.
The drive is a Hitachi SK750-640, HTS54756A9E384, CP/N H2T640854S.
She is a bigger HD, about 1-2 t or not.
I saw several models of Toshiba, but they require 5VDC 1.0 Amp or Amp while the Hitachi 1.1 required only 5 VDC @ 700 my.My concern is whether the motherboard could or could not handle the increased power consumption.
If anyone have replaced the original HD by more, I'll be happy to hear his opinion.Thank you
Hi Luis
I don't have this model of laptop, but I just want to write my opinion on Exchange of HARD drive.
As I can see disk Exchange HARD on this model of laptop doesn't have to be complicated.
All you need to do is to eliminate large ramdisk HARD cover and you will have full access to the old HDD.In the past, I traded several HDD on my notebooks without any problem. Different different manufacturers of HARD drive on mobile platforms. I think that 1 TB HARD drive would be OK to upgrade.
I don't know what is important to your wife, but maybe you should think about the SSD upgrade. This could increase the performance of laptop computer s quickly.
Download and run JDiskReport.
There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space. The only real solution, however, is to get a larger hard drive.
- You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
- You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
- You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
- You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
- You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
- You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)
But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long. The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.
In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files to delete or uninstall applications.
I can't initialize the disk for my new external hard drive
I can't initialize the disk for my new external hard drive because the drop-down list in the Disk Management Console does not give me this option. I'm logged in as an administrator and running Windows XP. The driver for the new hardware is not digitally signed because I can't initialize the disk. So I can't get my new hardware to run. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the option "Initialize disk" in the Disk Management Console?
Hello Honduras1,
Can you simply right-click and format everything first? The drive must be formatted before use, make sure that you format NTFS.
See you soon
Hi Ian,
Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community forums.
I understand you are trying to install the USB 2.0 - CRW drivers. Check out the link and download the drivers designed for Windows 7.
http://www.DriverMax.com/driver/update/USB/compatible-USB-storage-device/USB2.0-CRW/436978
You can install the drivers in Windows 7 in Windows 8 by using compatibility mode. Follow the steps.
(a) access to the start screen
(b) press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you have a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)
(c) search for Troubleshooting, click settings in the right-hand column.
(d) click on troubleshooting. Click run programs made for previous versions of Windows
(e) click on Next, select not listed. Click Next
(f) click Browse and select the installation program that you downloaded via the link above.
(g) click on Next, click program troubleshooting
(h) check the program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now
(i) click next , select the latest OS known functional for this driver (probably Windows 7)
(j) click Next
Let us know if you need assistance.
I lost the code for the option menu 'limitations' of the iPhone 4, how can you do then? so I can come and factory reset, it is a 4 digit code, so I can be able toexample factory reset the phone, don't know if this is the right forum for my question but
Sorry, but the restriction password cannot be reset, it is part of the backup and restore a backup that was taken after the restrictions were activated, restore this code again.
You will have to start without the help of the data backup, configure the phone to factory settings and start over. Follow the steps mentioned in this article:
Use iTunes to restore your device to factory settings - Support Apple iOS
If you lose or forget your password restriction, you must erase your device and then put it up as a new device to remove the restriction password. Restore the device by using a backup does not delete the access code.
