Lost the original files, is it possible to recover the project through preview files?

Crashed my hard drive with windows but I have files preview and project on the other drive. Is it posible to recover my project?

Depending on how the bad hard drive is, you might be able to plug it as a secondary drive and specify files off of it or send them to a service to extract the files. I don't think there is anyway to recover the files through something that first creates.

  • I lost my original file of the Muse and the site is online and I wanted to update.

Hi so I made my personal Web site using Adobe Muse and my hard drive crashed and lost the original file.

The site is online but I wanted to change it and I've thought since FTP transfers files both ways, there must be a way for me to get my files back, but the question is can we recover my document of Muse, recorded somewhere?

    Hello

If you do not have a backup of the file, I fear that the file cannot be recovered. It is not possible to recreate the .muse since records file and the exported files, and Muse will be able to open a .muse file in order to edition.

You can use InBrowserEditing as workaround in the InBrowserEditing case has been activated at the time of the publication of the site. Please see the link below.

  • I lost my original file of Muse.

I downloaded the site C-Panel. Is it possible to recover the file from there, or that it will be only the HTML files?

(I've already lost the original and there is no way to resume)

You can't rebuild a Muse of the published HTML file. You will have to do with the HTML files and change their more in Dreamweaver or use them as a template to rebuild your work in Muse.

  • Captivate problems during the execution of the projects through LMS

I am currently using Captivate v4 but my LMS Manager informed me that what follows is also with projects created in V5 and v5.5.

I created a project using v4. It contained a question pool and a few random questions. It works great when I tested it on my PC.

After I had downloaded on our LMS (Triboni-TMT/LMS) I tested my project. First time it worked very well, but on the second try:

    1. the project took more than 5 minutes to open - whereas before it had opened in less than 1 minute

    2. the first slide open for a split second, then jumped at the end of the project - blow up all the slides between the two.

My LMS Manager informs me that this is not a problem with our enterprise LMS rather a known issue with Captivate. It indicates that it is 'bugs' in Captivate and it is in contact with Adobe to see if there are patches for this problem.

Call me a cynic, but I don't know I think my LMS Manager and for me, it seems that he is avoiding the issue and passing the blame on Captivate.

Someone at - it knowledge of possible bugs in Captivate (v4, v5 or v5.5) that caused what precedes, or know of similar problems?

    Noel

RodWard, made a correct suggestion and gave a very good explanation too!

@ Noel, just in case, you want to reduce the loading time of your project when you start on the LMS.

Try to edit > preferences > projects: beginning and end - and figure of the Preloader to something like 20 to 25 percent, in case you have heavy animation, it would help reduce you you the time of loading and then republish.

    Good luck!

  • Can I pick up my Muse lost the swarm of Adobe site

I lost my original files to Muse on my computer.

Is there a folder on the cloud to adobe that will allow me to return to my site?

Can I use my downloaded files imported into the Muse?

    Thank you

If you have saved the file muse in cloud storage, then you can download and continue your work. If file is lost and there is no backup stored, there's no way to recover lost files.

A live version of the site can be imported in Muse.

We always recommend to follow a file folder of work, sorry for this time.

    Thank you

  • How to synchronize the chronology of reading preview with the project timeline?

Hi, I have used a number of video editors in the past and now trying on Adobe Premiere to see if it is any good. It looks very good so far, very professional and get rarely crashes. Currently there are about the thing that bothers me in it and I hope you could help me how to sort. It is not really easy to explain what I mean in words, but I'll post a screenshot at the end of this post that should help you to get the idea of what I want.

Most video editors have their timeline to preview (Adobe calls tab "program") to automatically update when you have added several images in the project. Then if you add a video file only 5 minutes in the project, then preview will end in 5 minutes. But Adobe has a certain value of preterment, so preview will continue to play beyond 5 minutes mark and just show a black screen, as if you had something at the end of the project. I ask how to get rid or adjust this value, so preview would synchronize with the chronology in the length. The reason why it annoys me is because I want to fast-forward to about 80% of the current project, just to note that I sped up 5 minutes after the last video of the project. I know that I can simply fast-forward using the timeline, but it is not very comfortable for me.

I made this screenshot, which should help you understand what I mean.

The time will appear in the lower right corner angle of the program monitor reports that the sequence is 10:01:19 - located 10 minutes, not 5.

You seem to use CS6 (or earlier), in which the program monitor doesn't automatically adjust the zoom to the length of the sequence. This was changed in CC (7.x). So you can basically ignore the fact that the playhead is only at half way through the visible prescription. If it really bothers you, then you can manually zoom in to only show that the actual duration of the sequence.

As for playing beyond the end and showing black images, play you literally the sequence? If so, then it should stop at the end of the sequence. If, however, you are actually rub (by clicking and dragging the read head), then you can rub as much as you like beyond the end of the effective content.

  • What happens on the start of the project?

I read several threads on this topic, or similar problems, and I'm still confused.

Basic observation is that whenever I launch PPro CS5 and start an existing project, the last step is the asset of this project in a process that takes an annoyingly a lot of loading time.  For example, a project that has about 300 pure video files (m2v) and 20 audio files (wav) takes about 8 minutes to load these assets - whenever I have start the project.  Judging by the note of the progress in the lower left corner of the window, practically all the time is spent on files video m2v, not audio.  I see no evidence of the conformation of any video file - the preview of a file folder and the folder of files encoded are empty and the media Cache contains only audio files (.pek) inside.  What is happening on that takes so long and why does it go on every time that I open it a project?

    My system details:

I7 930 2.8 GHz Quad Core with hyperthreading

    12 GB memory

    Windows 7 64 bit

Display NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 processor

4 drives of 1 TB 7200 RPM with an operating system on a, on a different cache files and the project files on a third

No network storage, no reloation of the files or folders in projects.

All source files are introduced into the projects through the import process.  A problem with imports of important lot is covered in a previous thread, but if not, imports seem normal.  After an import of a .pek file is created in the media folder for each audio file Cache and 4 KB .xmp file is created in the same folder as the source files for each video file.

I thought that the body added some xmp data tracking for video files when he could and put these data in a file separate .xmp when he couldn't.  Also, I thought it was a way to track the source files for subsequent activity, such as the reopening of the project, would not have to start from scratch every time.  The last dates mod on my source file have not changed, so I assumed that body could not get the xmp in them data and instead created the sidecar files. But my .xmp files seem to have no effect on the subsequent loading source file.

I have also no 'project file bloat' by a thread earlier.

Should I just live with this gene, or can do something to reduce the loading time of project?

First must check each file to make sure it's the same as it was the last time that the project was opened.  Otherwise he couldn't 'play' the file.  This process occurred while we were waiting on the start screen.  At least now it happens in the background so that we can sort of work done while it checks.

  • Update i-movie terrible!  Cannot remove rejected Clips.  Create and name the project issues.

Someone has any idea how to remove rejected in the new update to i-movie clips?   Very difficult now to create new projects and name them.  Never wearing a name for the project.  Project tab does not.  Go to the projects through the tab of the window, and then go from there to the area of projects.   There is that an i-movie update just gets worse every time, and for the worse.   I don't think that people never updates actually use the product.

See if that helps. (1) to remove the clip selection rejected rejected in the context menu above the media window. Right-click and choose Remove. (2) to create a new project click on project button on the top left of the window. In the projects list that appears click on create new and pick the movie. When the editing window opens it will say my default movie. Click the projects button again and you will be asked to name the film. You can also go ahead and edit your film add clips, etc. and if you share, you will also get an option to rename. At any time, you can go to the project and in this window button rename a project. I don't know what you mean by project tab does not. If you want to say, it does not appear or is not functional then launch iMovie, hold down the command and option and choose to delete the preferences. See if that fixes the project tab.

  • publish a site on businesscatalyst and now the pc crashed and lost the original files. Can I get it back?

I have published a website on businesscatalyst and now, after an accident on my pc, I've lost all my Muse original files in this site.

Is it possible to download from businesscatalyst?

    Thank you!!!

    Hi Antonio,.

I'm sorry to inform you that you will not be able to recover your business catalyst .muse file. However, if you selected the option to "change in the browser" in the site of your muse file properties you can edit your Web site with business catalyst. Please refer to this link:- help Adobe Muse | Mounting using Business Catalyst in the browser

You can also retrieve the HTML code for your muse of Business catalyst site and use a code like Dreamweaver Editor to make changes to your site in HTML.

    Hope this helps

  • When you copy a file in the same folder, is it possible to choose where "copy of" add original file name?

When you copy a file in the same folder, is it possible to choose where "copy of" add original file name?

    Someone has an idea?

    No, it is not possible.

  • Is it possible to synchronize the copied file in the local folder with the original file in the network?

    Hello

I copied a file from the shared network folder and it is really important document, so I need to use this file as a file off the local drive connection and backup as well just in case where the cause accidental, but I don't want to save it each time and don't want to use the original file in the network.

Is it possible to automatically synchronize the copied file in the local folder with the original file in the network?

    Thank you

Absolutely without interruption would require a program to write that monitors files on the file locks and triggers a sync as soon as he sees a change.  So, since we cannot just write a program, the best thing is either:

    (1) an icon on your desktop that you can click each time you want to synchronize "synchronize my files now.

    or

    (2) plan the "my sync files' to run automatically every x minutes.  It could be a batch script that checks to see if the file is more recent and copies only files that have changed.  Although perhaps a little aggressive, you could plan this thing check-and-copy-a batch file - again to run every 60 seconds.

Batch files allow you to control the operations very directly, but Microsoft has also made a (not supported) tool called SyncToy who does all the same things, but has a graphical interface to select your options. It can be programmed to run automatically on a schedule.

I recently imported photos into lightroom, but I did not back up the original files on my computer and they are deleted from my card.  The images still appear in lightroom.  Is it possible to save them from lightroom without the original file?

Your images are not - and have never had - in Lightroom, they are just referenced in the Lightroom database.

Lightroom generates jpeg previews of the originals, however, and you can export users export preview plugin of Rob Cole: robcole.com - PreviewExporter.

To be clear, however, that are not originals.
