  I've been cutting and pasting text from one part of a file to another.  The text to move consisted of several paragraphs.  When I pasted the text in the location in the file, the formatting of the paragraph is replaced by the paragraph format of the paragraph where it was stuck. • Lost to cut and paste files

  I cut and copied some set of files of office (located in C :) to a folder in the d: drive. Another series got also copied in another location on the disk D of office. When I tried to copy the 3rd series of files, it might get copied. I cancelled the process 3 or 4 times. But nothing has managed. On the other hand, I've been facbooking on Google chrome. He got the hanged man. At the same time, windows Explorer got hanged. So I tried the Task Manager to end the task. It also did not work. Finally, I kept the CPU start button pressed and sutdowned the computer. To start the computer, I could not locate the files in the original folder or destination. I tried all sorts of recovery software to restore the file. But they could not locate the files. I thought that the files are not deleted, but their memory address is blocked, so I tried check disk (check 5 steps of readers). He repaired an area called '$J Journal USN' but still I couldnot find the files. Please help me!

  1. what exactly happens when you try to copy / paste?
  2. do you receive any error messages?

  Method 1: I suggest to try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  Step 1: Start the computer using safe mode with networking.

  (a) Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer.
  (b) If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the button F8 as your rebooting the computer.
  (c) you need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
  (d) if the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.
  (e) in the display Advanced Startup Options, use the arrow keys to select the desired mode safe mode with networking option and press enter.
  (f) log your computer with an user account with administrator rights.

• Images lost during operations cut-and - paste from memory card on my computer

  I was moving pictures on my memory card in a folder in "my pictures" using the cut and paste.
  on my memory card and when I plugged my camera into my computer, the photos were in different files as the memory card has been put in two cameras; a samsung and a cannon. Some of the pictures so share the same name of the image.
  When I cut and pasted the warning came to say something in the sense of 'element already exists, replace the existing file' I clicked on "Yes to all" without thinking about it, and now I've lost the almost all of a folder of photos! And because they were cut out of the memory of the device, I can't think of a way to get back them.
  I tried many searches in my files to try and find / recover, but I have no idea where they would have gone!
  They are pictures of vacation and I really want to try to recover, any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Hello!  I am new to using this forum and will admit from the outset that the understanding of the technical things is not my strength.  Here's my question: I used to have PS CS5.  When I would cut and paste images to make photo cards, I would give all select, copy, make a new Document, and then paste.  From there on, I was able to move the four photos where I wanted to.  When I got a new computer, I had to pass to CC.  I had a hard time with the cut and paste process since then.  At first I couldn't get an image to appear at all on the new document, when I tried to paste something I copied, but found that I could get something, if I first flattened the image.  Now, however, what I have copy includes all of the document, and if I try to make it smaller, it's cropping the image instead of making it smaller.   Anyone has a suggestion for me to try?  Thank you very much!

  1 copy the original image, go to the document you want to paste your image in.

  2. Press CMD + v to paste in it.

  3. you can use CMD + T to resize the image to the size you want for its size. Tip: Hold SHIFT while resizing and image dimensionnera without messing up the perspective.

  4. If you want to move your image after it sizing, press 'A', the abbreviation for the move tool and just move it to the location you would like. Make sure you have the layer with the image that you want to move selected in the layer panel.

  PDF files can contain a lot of hidden information. You can't always trust what you see is all that is there...

  About this specific file, my guess is that someone wanted to replace the address so they just put the new text with a white background on the old text and thought which is pretty good. Big mistake. Unless you are using the redaction tool information is still there and is copied when selected, as you can see it coming.

  When I open the file in Acrobat I can clearly see and select the items of old text under the visible text. You must report this problem to the creators of the file and request a better version of it.

  You can try to move a layer in the layers panel to the tab of another image. (Photoroy, Yes, having anchored side by side image is called tabbed images)

  Unfortunately, it is not possible from the layers panel, but it is possible to the image itself.

  If you do not have the move selected tool, press the V button, then right-click on the top of the area where your layer is to select, or drag the tab of another image, wait for the image to appear, and then release the mouse button; or use layer duplicated, as suggested above.

  The problem has been resolved - to try and finally understand everything.

  If you encounter this problem, it is perhaps because, unless you know the file format of the inserted picture, programs can not figure it out for you. Place your cursor on the image, right click and save the image under a .jpeg instead of simply copying. Then work with the file .jpeg in any photo management program you use normally - or even insert it in Word.
