Lost Windows XP computer trash.

Original title: problem of Windows XP Recycle Bin...

Am running Windows XP pro, and now my recycle bin disappeared.  How can I get it back?

My sister was using the computer and got a notification (from Avira antivirus) that there is a virus in the trash.  Then she (knowing just enough to be real dangerous) did a Regedit > search on "Recycle" and remove any single reference to the garbage in the registry.  Whee!
So the problem is more complicated than just an accidental deletion.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I don't want to have to reinstall the system again.

Do a system to a restore point right before when she made the registry changes.

  • Free update to Windows 10 has trashed my computer

    Hello

yesterday, I decided to take the offer and update my Windows 7 Home to 10 Windows.

Everything went well and he got 100% installation but he then gave a blue screen saying code error and said he was trying to retrieve information, after that an hour of no disk activity and the same screen, I decided to shut down the computer.

No combination of keys would be closed it so I pressed the power switch until he shot.

When restarting the computer is now in a loop from like a machine windows 10 with the logo, black screen then, then flashes a square box with nothing for a millisecond and then try to restore the installation and then restore a previous Windows version.

My system is Spanish, so I translated it, my computer was Intel i5, Toshiba Satellite L750, which came with Windows 7 pre-installed, so I don't have a CD or a diskette boot or anything.

I can't create a Windows 10 ISO file because my company computer needs admin authority to do, so basically I'm on a computer Microsoft thanks.

I can't start in safe mode F8 does not work.

As a result of the foregoing, the option key to Toshiba 0 does not work, I can not get to start in safe mode, the CMOS, boot from installation does not options, and as I have already said I do not have any other computer other than my company computer that I don't have Admin authority, so as I said I have a computer trashed without options.

Incidentally I'm not at myself, I'm a stranger in my place of work.

    Any help please

  • My Windows 10 computer crashed, and all applications have been lost.  I'm about to re - install LR6 (standalone, no CC).  I think that both facilities are allowed.  Can I get the meter re - assign once my reinstalling?  Thank you.  Jim

Hello, my Windows 10 computer crashed, and I had to start again, allow a reinstallation of the operating system complete with all my apps being deleted from the machine.  One of these applications was LR6 (independent, no CC).  In my view, LR6 allows two installations of the software by license, so I am writing to ask that the 'meter' installation reset 'one' when I'm done with this installation.    I would never need the re-install second, but given the instability of the operating system, it may be necessary... Thank you.

try to boot in safe mode with network first, and then try to scan your computer using scanners like:

  • Networking Windows 7 and a Windows 98 computer

Since the update to my Windows Vista computer to Windows 7, I can no longer communicate with an old Windows 98 computer I connected. I've assigned and IP for the Windows 98 computer and I've added to the list of networks on my Security Center Firewall (McAfee), as has been suggested as a possible solution.  It did not work.

I need to be able to have the old Windows 98 computer on my home network for what one might consider a stupid reason (I've got an older scanner on this computer and large enough files that create scanners are also difficult to transfer to the new computer.  The new scanner has stopped working after only a year and a half because of what HP calls irreparable electronic failure, so I use the old scanner on a Windows 98 computer for which the software was never updated for XP/Vista/7.

The Windows 7 computer see the network connection, but that is as far as things go. How can I get Windows 7 and Windows 98 computers to see and talk to each other?

    alanr

Short answer: can not be done. You can access shared folders in Win98 to Windows 7 computer, but not the reverse. Scan on, one after the other using file transfer. You cannot use a Windows 7 Homegroup to connect this way, you must use the standard file sharing and printers (as in the working groups). Create an account on the Windows 98 computer that has the same user name and password for an account on the Windows 7 computer. Set up as usual on the Windows 98 file sharing computer and assign it to the same workgroup name that the Windows 7 computer use. It should then appear in a Windows 7 network and allow you to access shared folders Win98. You can see the computer Windows 7 from Windows 98, but you will not be able to access.
All confirmed as true, but - WHY?

Windows 7 keeps shoving homegroup into my face, as if all of the computers on the planet he runs.
This is the notion of a network is damaged. The idea of a network is to share resources.
After the days of violin which he inserted - PC after the name, I gave him, used for the first HOUSE as my location, then lost, has created a homegroup, when I never requseted it. Or simply behaving badly HURT.
I was finally able to get the computer to windows 7 in the same workgroup as my other computers.
It STILL shows it as connetion: internet! Stupid _...
And now when I try to access is no longer an error, but asks for a password.
My normal response to this is (Hit Enter Key - i.e. 'none' on well behaved systems.)
I wonder what Windows 7 by default?
No matter, the machine and the operating system will return to the store.

  • I moved my Adobe pro 9 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 computer... question serial No.

I moved my Adobe pro 9 from a Windows 7 computer to a Windows 10.  I disabled the software on the old computer, took the serial number with me and reinstalled on the new.  So far so good.  When I run the present on the new, it seems now that I use a trial version (even if I provided the serial number) and wants me to pass within 30 days.  He wants to give me an original serial number for a version more old (which I did not).  I don't know why the series # I got when I bought Acrobat 9 pro does not work.  Any ideas?  Anyone... anyone...

Request for a previous serial number means that you have a version upgrade, not a new version of installation complete... so find your previous serial number and enter it when asked

I have PS CS3, (Version 10) installed on my Windows 7 computer. It works very well. I will be able to access if I switch to Windows 10?

I expect to for Windows 10 for the kernel is not very different when I upgraded I lost my homegroup when I upgraded the machine that created the homegroup key has been lost and the machine was not part of the home group.  My display device drivers needed to be updated after the upgrade for my poster work properly. A pilot to ditch virtual use to connect my Surface Pro 3 as a third screen was not functional. Remove and reinstall it solved this problem.  Everything else seems to work well.   If you do not bind the user accounts on your machine to Microsoft accounts these user will be second class but spy with less.  Things like Cortana, people, installing applications, and others require you and Microsoft accounts allowing Microsoft to collect information...

If you look at the web there is little negative feedback of those is upgraded and something like 14 million have updated.   Only the stars of the press sensation are their stories, that you should take them for what they are worth.  Its their job to make new worthy or not.

  • Firefox will always be a way course surf the web using a Windows XP computer after that leaves Microsoft support Windows XP?

Windows XP is still my favorite operating system, but Microsoft will give up support in the coming days. If I understand correctly, shortly after which using Windows Internet Explorer to surf the web on a computer running Windows XP (or can) make the computer vulnerable to piracy. It will be the same for the use of Mozilla Firefox on a computer that is running Windows XP?
I think I saw an ad for Google Chrome with that they would continue to support the browser for use on a Windows XP computer. I think that Google said they would keep releasing patches to secure the Chrome. Can anyone confirm that and more importantly, is Mozilla Firefox secure? Also, should I uninstall Internet Explorer on my Windows XP computer when leaving Microsoft support?

Note - I am posting this with a newer computer that works under Windows 7 64-bit.

Firefox will continue to work with Windows XP. At best, in the near future, I could see the required configuration to encountered to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (obligation is SP2 for now). Security in Firefox patches are the same, regardless of the version of Windows you are using.

Keep in mind that without security updates, the operating system itself will be precarious. What browser and software security that you use will not change.

Internet Explorer is a component of the system, and you should not attempt to remove it in Windows Vista and lower. From Windows 7, there's a way of kind of uninstall from the control panel.
