loud beep sound and warning

I was on my Macbook Pro, watching some elements to Dillard and Saks Fifth Avenue.   All of a sudden, there was a loud beep and message:

Dear customer,

A serious malfunction was detected with OS X 10.11 and

Firefox 45.0.  Call the toll-free number below to make an Apple MacIntosh technician to help solve the problem.

877-920-7284.

For your safety, close the Firefox browser has been disabled without the support of the Apple Macintosh technician to avoid corruption in the registry of your operating system OSX 10.11.

DO NOT STOP OR RESTART THE COMPUTER, THIS CAN LEAD TO THE LOSS OF DATA AND FAILURE POTENTIAL OF THE SITUATION NOT BOOTABLE, OPERATING SYSTEM, AND POTENTIAL, RESULTING IN A COMPLETE DATA LOSS.  CONTACT MICROSOFT CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS TO SOLVE THE 877-920-7284 TOLL-FREE CALL.

Is there the validity of this statement.  When I call the number, I just get a message that there is no available agents, call back in a minute, but I've never been able to get to talk to someone...

Someone is trying to scare you into buying something that won't help and probably really affect your computer if you leave 'help '. Ignore the warning.

What would Microsoft technicians have anything to do with a Mac?  It is phishing.

I'm not familiar with the Mac with any record which is a term I hear only with regard to PCs.  There's someone talking gibberish of computer that makes no sense.

  • Satellite P100-195 - loud beep sound card problem

    Hi guys.

I bought a Toshiba Satellite P100-195, about two weeks ago and since I had a problem with my sound card I do not seem to be able to overcome. Whenever I have to increase/decrease the volume (or audio icon in the system tray or the control panel) I get a loud beep after I let go of the mouse button.

The sound seems to work fine, but the tone is getting stronger every time I increase the volume and is really annoying. I also noticed that whenever I got an audio/video conversion Canopus Procoder 2 I get the same tone, even if the converted files are well and plays well. My Satellite P100-195 was a Portuguese Windows Professional MCE.

The beep will be like a BIOS we and not a BONE.
I already reinstalled the audio driver.
Can someone help me with this?

    Jose Felix

    Hello

Is - this loud beep appear on a fresh install that BONES form the Toshiba Recovery CD?

The second possibility is that your operating system has put this loud beep as a program event.
Go to sound and audio devices and select the Audio tab.

Here, you can see all your sounds that are set on the different program events.

  • strange monitor beep sound and blank when I installed the graphics card XFX Radeon HD 7870

OK, so I removed my GTX 555 after that I bought a brand new XFX HD 7870, installed and activated on the pc.
The monitor was empty and the pc tower was 5 beep sounds, then pause and repeat, over and over again until I turned off. When I replaced the GTX 555, all was well again, so I know this isn't the other components.
    Any suggestions?

  • Beeping sound and flashing - Satellite A100-200 at the beginning upward

My Satellite A100-200 is three months old and stopped working. When I start there is a continuous beep and a flasher above the hard drive indicator.

Is that what I can do or is it a warranty repair

    Hello

stop your machine immediately, or that you have installed things before? Have you tried to remove the hard drive and if you have 2 RAM modules at least one of them?

If all fails, you will need to give your machine a local service partner. They will then solve your problem.

  • 500-300na Pavilion: problem with Pavilion 500-300na (mother of Memphis-S) - Dead / no beeps sound and video

Hello - I hope someone can help me please

I have desktop PC HP Pavilion 500-300na.
The PC worked very well without problem - I went for a stay of two weeks during which the PC was not in use and power was turned off. I'm back from vacation and the PC does not work now.

When you press the power button, the LED lights up, CPU fan, electric fan and the two spin system fan. There is no video. There is no beep error codes. What is it - actually dead.
If I hold the button for about 5 to 10 seconds, the fans run down, but the rest spinning CPU fan.

    What I've done so far:

    Tried another monitor.
    Tried a different power supply.
Powered by the motherboard on its own with any other disconnected.
Taken the Cmos battery on the motherboard for 1 min and replaced it.
Clean the dust from the fans (they were not so bad as to be honest).

The machine worked with in PCI16 slot video card - I removed this for the test. As I can't get into the Bios, I can't put in the work of the "mother video card." Not sure if it is a problem.
The unit has a strip of 8 GB of ram DDR3 - I tried this in another location without any changes.
I have not tested the ram. I have not tested the CPU or deleted one of the fans / heat sinks.

Thanks for any help you can provide
    Chris

Okay, I think THAT I managed to fix it and understand what the problem was.

I think the problem was double - first of all, before the problem started, Technical Assistance from HP have a BIOS update and download. I think that this update changed the Startup Configuration in the BIOS to "ENABLED" Secure.

Not really a problem. . BUT...

The video card I was running was a riser and secure boot DISABLED neeeded and legacy support ENABLED.

I have reset the BIOS using the jumper (bios password) information – I also did a 'blind' changing information from the bios to switch to the use of the video of the motherboard (bash F10 for 10 seconds at the start, then three arrows down, then two returns... This pass BIOS to "Apply default settings and exit"). I don't know who really helped, but the machine comes up in life.

I put the information here, in which case another experience a similar problem.

Someone else did this happen to them? My MacBook Pro (early 2011) making a loud beep sound and the power and turn off several times while he was installing the new os 10.11.2 update this morning? Everything seems to work fine, I've just been caught unawares. I've never had such a thing happened to me in updating my mac. Someone else?

    can happen

I think the install dialog says that the mac can shut down and put into service once more.

If its works well it should be good.

After reading this forum, I found a lot of people have had the beeps 7 to the problem starting with the M5030.  I had very good experience with Dell over the last 8 years, so it is sad to see so many bad comments about them here.  In my business, if there is a known, issue of you just do the right thing, period.

The warranty is up, if anyone has any suggestions?

I've disabled all sounds and disabled my sound card. There is always a warning tone. Why?

    Hello

    When does this beep?

It probably comes from the speaker of your motherboard.

Listen to the PC (put close your ear) while producing the sound and then compare it with putting your ear near a speaker.

  • Help! W500 dead. Is update system, restarted itself, makes 3 loud beeps and thats all!

I just changed my hard drive, stuck in a windows 7 cd, successfully installed. Chrome, dropbox and update system installed. Ran Lenovo update system and at one point the computer restarted itself, made three loud beeps (long followed by two short) and that's it.

The bluetooth led is on, as it is powered, battery and charger lamps. The screen is dead.

That's happened? What are these three beeps? What should I do?

It turns out that my new HDD is loose. Something must be done to ensure that it does not move.

    It was a scary time.

  • S10e - loud beep on AC connect and disconnect!

Hi everyone - first post here!

My Lenovo S10e supplied with Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop, and it works now openSUSE 11.1. I love it! But I'm always in the first weeks congested and still working on the kinks. And here's one:

Every time I have connect or disconnect the AC, I get a very loud beep, which is a real nuisance in the library, and even around the House! I'd love to be able to disable the beep, but as far as I can tell it is a level BIOS setting BIOS give no option to adjust.

All the forums I've found offer a solution only for Windows. If there is an update of the BIOS, which makes it possible to disable the beep, I think I wouldn't be able to apply it in any case, since it would be distributed in the form of a windows .exe. But I bought the device with an operating system Linux is preinstalled. Surely, there must be an upgrade of the BIOS that come to us?

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

    Thank you very much!
