Loud noises M1212nf printer cartridge

Recently for no apparent reason began to make noises jerking when I tried to print a document. The only way I could stop the noise was unpluging the power source and remove the ink cartridge. I have considered the problem being with the cartridge ink because after reinstallation of ink cartridge, the problem remains still.

Purchase new ink cartridge would solve my problem? If not, what are my options?

Problem solved. An inkpen was stuck in the paper feed. Works fine now, thanks for your support

  • CSP 1100, flashing "Check print cartridge", although both cartridges are fine, will not be printed.

Hi all, I have a problem with my old all-in-in-one. I tried to use the copy machine on some files I need for my review at the end of the month, and it went thru like 10 pages and then stopped in the middle of a page, flashing "check print cartridge". I removed the black cartridge and it finished copying this page but only the parts of color... that are a couple highlights with a red and green pen, so it's really funny - I points out but no text. Large.

The cartridges are new, they were replaced about 2 years ago and not used, since then the printer has been idle since it does not work on Windows 7, only the scanner does, therefore, there is no way for me to read error messages. I replaced the cartridges because he said that black was an incompatible type or something like that, even if SHE HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED, the error just popped up by itself. Now I bet that if I install it on a computer with XP it will give the same exact error. The cartridges are a real substitute for HP, they are clean, I cleaned the connectors too, nothing. When I cleaned the connector this error first popped up on the old cartridge and the cartridge started working again, but when the error does not arise in a second time no amount of rubbing contacts would get working again so I bought a new. What seems to have been the same fate.

Because I can not install the drivers for the printer I can't put that simply use the single color cartridge, so the thing refuses to print anything now. And I left the funniest part for the end - I did the self test thing with now cancel and press color copy. The test page doing very well. He is a minor, scratches on the colors, but black (which is the problem cartridge) is PERFECT. If it works, but it simply refuses to copy my files. I'm puzzled.

If they are any use to you here is the codes on the self-test page:

    PSC SERIES 1100. S/N MY3CNG92BSB0. FW R0025XXNXFH1. USB VID:03F0 PID:3011.

508 PAGES. (see, it was not yet used a lot) LAST ERROR A00000EC. (I think this might be useful) OKAY NVM. SERVICE ID 0. MRGN 1.

    CBA 2.0 MB. DAVID S 0001. ALTM 6272. 243E62E LEFT. 1C2B126 RIGHT.

I'm good with electronics and I think it must be dismantled, it is refilled and resoldered, but I don't have time for this now and I need my files because I need to study on their part and I give the originals back on Monday. So is it possible to force the copy as the self-test page only?

The fixed. I decided to take it apart because I did before aligning the scanner, I was somewhat familiar with its internals. I removed the power supply and found the damaged and also very hot main filter Cap. I have had no direct replacement so I have attached another 150uF with son Cap until I buy one that fits inside the PSU.

The copier works now, and it is also not more of this shrill noise that it used to have. I have to use only color cartridge, but at least I can get my paper work done. Most likely there was a power surge and due to the bad capacitor it obtained through food and broken logic in the black cartridge.

BTW, I read that if you get MRGN: page 1 of the self-test it means you have a bad cartridge. Well, it always reports MRGN: 1 with the only color cartridge but it does not copy now, whereas before you replace the capacitor there not even wanting to pull the paper with the only color cartridge. I also managed to get install on a Vista computer, but since it runs with a generic driver there is absolutely no useful reports either (not not even the ability to set the configuration of the cartridge to color only, but he seems to have figured it out on his own now).

In any case I still have to buy a new black cartridge... or better, a new printer.

EDIT: I just tried again the black cartridge and guess what? He spits the alignment page, I scanned it and now it works fine. Now, I'm sure it was a bug in the firmware triggered by bad power supply filtering. Well, here's to hoping it REMAINS fixed.

  • How to solve the Message "Incompatible print cartridge".

    Hello everyone

Have you ever received the message "Incompatible print cartridge"? This may be caused by defective cartridges, dirty cartridge contacts, or by using the wrong cartridges for your printer or the region. If you get this message after moving to another country and using a different HP ink you will need to call HP support and ask them to explain how to change the region of your printer.

If, however, you have not moved and you get this message with a new cartridge or current a little troubleshooting can be made. There is an article and the youtube video to help you to solve this problem, they are two excellent tools for troubleshooting. If the steps do not resolve your problem that make sure you try a different cartridge because it helps to isolate the problem to the printer or cartridge.

  • HP Officejet 6835: Not to recognize new printer cartridges.

Exchanged a defective HP Officejet Pro 6835 at Costco. I kept the old cartridges and Costco pulled the new printer cartridges and kept them. During the installation of the printer does not recognize the used cartridges. Error message received to use cartridges supplied with the printer configuration. Did not have them. Is gone to town & bought new HP cartridges and install. The printer took over in the same place on the installer. It does not recognize the new cartridges. What can I do? I can't start the installation program. I remove the new cartridges and reinstall them using and get the same message again. She can't get to work, so I'll have to make another 90 mile round trip to Costco to replace this printer.  Any suggestions?

    Doreen

You will need to install cartridges for initial configuration, Costco shouldn't have removed the cartridges setup.  You can contact HP, they could send replacement cartridges setup or they may suggest that you only contact Costco.

I understand that you have some problems with an error light on your PSC 1350 all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve the blinking lights on the printer.

  • 6600 HP all-in-one: 6600 printer cartridges need to be replaced as often

The color on this printer cartridges need to be changed all the time and I do not print in color.  So when I'm ready to print something it will not print in black only.  Can I replace the cartridges in black and use black only?  Black doesn't last for long either but...  Very disappointed with this printer.  Had the impression that I could print in black only when other lack which is not correct.  It cost me more money to replace the cartridges what it would cost to buy another printer, which I am looking in now.  I buy cartridges very long service life also.

    Thank you

    Thanks Gemini02
I have asked questions about this at Best Buy and I was told the same thing. Unfortunately, it can't be avoided as you say. It is very expensive and as I said, I'm looking to buy a new printer, a laser printer this time.
Thanks for the confirmation on my question.
Hope this also answers Betsy2 question.

  • J4580 print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to the device Documentation

Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Thank you!

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

  • Replace the print cartridge 8600

I am trying to replace the black ink cartridge.  When I open the door on the front of the printer, nothing happens.  The printer cartridge door does not move and is inaccessible.  The printer seems to be on.  The green light is fading power on and off.

  • HP Deskjet 2680 print cartridge 60 Black - not compatible

I replaced the cartridge three colors (HP60) both the black print cartridge (HP60).  Exactly the same ones that I took out.  The Tricolor cartridge shows "ready", but I get an error on the black one, saying that the cartridge is missing or incompatible with the device.  Gently, I cleaned the contacts according to the help file.   It is not always recognize the black cartridge.

    TIA

It would be correct to assume that the reset is universal. Are these genuine HP cartridges cartridges or have they ever been filled or refurbished? What I want do you is remove the cartridge that does not work, and with a non fluffy cloth and a bit of water, I would like to wipe the power at the rear of the cartridge contacts (the copper bumps) and the corresponding connections inside the machine. You want to unplug the printer for the second half.

Then back - turn on the machine and replace it. Also, I know that this cartridge is new, but have you tried another cartridge to see if it is the cartridge that is defective?

    Let me know!

  • Incompatible print cartridge error C309g.

Incompatible print cartridge error C309g. When replacing foul 564 XL (black), now I get this message. The new cartridge works in another printer that uses 564 XL. Went ahead and tried another brand new 564 XL - same message. Have turned printer on and outside. Is there a way to reoot, clean or otherwise set the printer before assuming it's really broken? Other suggestions?

UPDATE: this has been resolved with a hard reset. I found how to do this in another post (thanks bassergitz!). How to do a hard reset or 'dirty power up': when the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. It will take several minutes to initialize.

  • 564 printer cartridges: unused printer cartridges

I changed my printer to another HP model that requires different print cartridges.  I have several 564 and 564XL printer cartridges which, although not used are not not in the original packaging (because it requires less storage space).  What can I do with these?  Is it possible to exchange them for the cartridges I use now (952 and 952XL)?

    Hello

It is not possible to exchange these cartridges.  It might be interesting to try to sell them on a site like ebay 2nd hand.

  • Error printer mechanism: the print cartridge cradle cannot move

HP Officejet Pro 8500 has 910g

The printer will not print: the message is: error printer mechanism: the print cartridge cradle cannot move.  Without the cradle of the cartridge and press ok.

How free the cradle of the cartridge?  I sent a message to 13:30 and I got a notice that they will contact me within the hour, he is now almost 19:00 and nobody sent me back.  Help

Try the steps in this troubleshooting page.

  • mechanism error print cartridge cannot move. C3180 all in one

It will not be printed.  I got this error

mechanism error print cartridge cannot move.  Turn the printer off.  Free cradle of cartridge.  I checked the cradle.  He moves very well.  The only way I can get the red light to go on top of the computer is to disconnect the two cords for 30 seconds and reconnect.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the disc that came with it.

In desperation, I tried anything that might help - checked for paper jams, changed two inks, processed on.  Restarted the computer.   A prayed and begged for it to print.  Nothing has worked.  My computer was purchased in 2007.   Maybe it of just old and has mechanical problems.  I don't have the time to go printer hunting this weekend and want to print something today.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

    Thank you.

Reset the printer - turn off, remove power from the back of the printer (not the wall), wait 5 minutes, plug back in and turn on.

Indeed, it may be stuck and dead, but it's really the only thing you can do to get it back.
