Low profile & power graphics card for s3321p Slimline

Hi I currently own a HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p. It's a good system, except the graphics card.

OS: Vista 32-bit

RAM: 2 GB (will likely move to 4 GB)

Hard drive: 500 GB

PSU: 160W

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + (2.6 GHz)

Course graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

You can find more details here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01297158

I know it's really hard to find a graphics card for 160W, but I really don't want to upgrade my power supply.

I would like to play the new Sim City 5, and specifications of my computer are satisfying the requirements (surpassing a number), except for the graphics. I need to at least 256 MB and the 6150 has only 128 MB. Could you give me any suggestions on a graphics card that will fill my computer and the power supply? Thank you.

Thanks, help is really appreciated.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the difference between a chipset and a card, could you explain that? It is said that there is 1 PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card.

If you think that I really need a new power supply, could you give some recommendations? But I really try to avoid it, then, Yes. Thanks again and sorry for this post so long.

You have already linked to the card to your computer, but for good measure... Here are the specifications of original factory for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p desktop again. As you already know, there's only a non - ATX 160 watts of power. The only way you'll be able to install a graphics card in retail is to upgrade your diet. www.athenapower.com should have a diet that will power a graphics card with a system recommended nominal power of 300-400 watts power. Alternatively, you can contact HP, see if they have a low graphics power of cutom made card that will work with the provision of 160 watts of power. This option will probably be more expensive.

According to specifications, your computer has integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated chipset with up to 256 MB (512 MB or more of memory system). Basically, a motherboard with integrated graphics card has the graphics capability built into the motherboard. A graphics card, on the other hand, is a map designed to plug into a slot on the motherboard. As a general rule, a graphics card will be more powerful than integrated graphics card of a chipset.

Please let us know how you want to proceed and we should be able to help you any further.

    Hello

I installed a 300w power supply and a 9800gt low profile with PIN 6 connected.  My computer does not read or use it. If it is connected directly the rest monitor orange and shows no display. Is is possible to upgrade this slimline for games?

    Hi wb2001,

Thank you for your useful tips

I use is:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338042 which has a connector 6 pin. I don't understand power outputs very well so I'm not sure about the requirements of 12V. I use a giant fan to cool my computer and it keeps the temperatures low.

This power supply 400w would work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338081. The idea to upgrade thinness comes from this forum with those who have had good results, but honestly I don't understand half of it :http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1224011

  • graphics card for HP Compaq dc7800

I am looking to buy a graphics card for my HP Compaq dc7800 small form Factor PC, I would like to have cheap cards. What would you recommend.

    Hello:

You are rather limited with 240W power.

I would get an opportunity low profile ATI Radeon 2400 HD 256 MB PCIe card on eBay.

This Dell card I posted should work just fine.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Dell-ATI-Radeon-HD-2400PRO-320-5891-/280798788349?PT=PCC_Video_TV_Cards & Hash = item4160e97afd

If you want that a new map of low profile with HDMI, you can check the link below for the Radeon HD 6450. But make sure that the card you get comes with support for low profile and read the comments on some of these cards where they say the basket of pins VGA closing case.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/ProductList.aspx?submit=Ene & N = 100006662 & IsNodeId = 1 & Description = % 206450 HD & Bop = and & Order = Rating & PageSize = 20

If you get a card with HDMI output, it will disable your onboard video, then reboot the PC after loading the drivers for the card, go into the BIOS and in device configuration menu, change the integrated audio system setting from disabled to enabled. Save the setting here and even once, when you go out. Then get you your integrated audio system and have also audio HDMI if you need.

  • Pavilion 500-314: graphics card for 500-314 Pavilion update

Please suggest a graphics card for me.

I have the R7 Radion integrated AMD provided with the motherboard, when I bought the Office a couple of years. Max resolution seems to be 1600 x 1200.  I want to improve my (two) monitors and the graphics card in order to better support my work Adobe Lightfoot.  I did not and never going to make any game.  Power supply of the desktop computer is 300W.

I like to keep the price of the card under $ 100. I've not spotted monitors so I don't know what will be my target resolution, but 1600 x 1200 is too low.

    Thank you.

    @MarkG3, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card which should do what you need.  It's a little above your budget, but it is really worth the extra money.  The plug on the State of EVGA Web site she needs at least 300W to work properly.  However, there have been several reports on the forum think 400W is needed.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

If you decide to buy it you can try with your current converter of power supply (PSU).  It will not damage anything.  It simply will not work correctly.

  • Pavilion p6-2143w: upgrade graphics card for Pavilion p6-2143w

I found the specs for the office here.  I try to get a medium to low end without graphics card to upgrade the power supply or something else. I tried to install a Nvidia Geforce GT 730 but without success. With this card installed, I turn on my desk and get stopped at the HP screen that says "Press esc for boot options" and pressing esc does nothing. I tried to start in safe mode and disable the integrated graphics card driver and then install the card once again, but always without success. Could someone either tell me why this card didn't work or direct me to a card that works?

This list is not complete.  The manufacturer will increase your success.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

  • Graphics card for AGP 8 x

My motherboard have AGP 8 x ABIT VT7(since 2004, he is too old), but how to find all graphics cards Nvidia Geforce or ATi graphics support 8 x AGP?

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce FX5500 is supported with AGP 8 x, so I need to move on to higher performance graphics card for AGP 8 x.

    Hope will understand.

Not that you want to use a card of 4 x AGP even more ancient, but AGP 4 x and 8 x use the same housing.
A small number of 8 x AGP cards apparently isn't able to downclock to 4 x however.
All model Geforce AGP on FX on is series cards 8 x cards
(except of course for the PCI-e ;)-models).

You will notice that some maps on the page below say 4 x / 8 x. It's basically 8 cards x which will be
also run at 4 x speed if you have a motherboard of 4 x (those that don't say that no doubt
will operate also at 4 X too).
    Newegg AGP 8 x

They have the FX5500 and Geforce 6200, but the 6200 is likely much better than your FX5500
overall because it is at the lower end of the series, but it should make some lighting effects a bit better.
For the best interpretation of a test series to go with a larger number of second.
Mid to high range would be for example. -6500 > 6800, etc..

If you are looking for something powerful, the map below is upscale for this series.
but you do not want to check that your power supply is sufficient to run it.

BFG 6800 Ultra BFG 6800GT (GT > GTX > Ultra).

I think that he has ceased to produce high range AGP models after the 7800 series
    7800GS

Another possible pitfall could be if you have a DELL or similar Machines OEM as
It is said that they sometimes made components for their own specifications (even more so in the era of)
your machine), which requires you to buy the pieces at home.
You can check this with the mfg if you have this type of machine.

  • Graphics card for Inspiron 530 desktop PC

I need a replacement of the graphics card for a Dell Inspiron 530, I got in 2008.  Any suggestions?

    hudsonnyc

Assuming you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour and not the Slimline version.

    You could install a GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16, with the default 300w power supply.

I've been using same GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16 in the Inspiron 530, with the supply POWER Dell 300w, without any problem.

The GeForce GT 240 1 GB 128 - bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 ready video card x 16 HDCP, would be also compatible.

If you want to install a more powerful video card, this would require the set power level.

  • update graphics card for desktop PC HP Pavilion p6-2378

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps
