LR 6 keeps freezing on Mac Pro

I have a Mac Pro (end of 2013 model), and it is running the latest Mac OS X 10.10.3. I am in terms of Cloud for LR and upgraded 5 LR LR 6/CC. He was running pretty reliable with LR5. But now it freezes every day. I have to force close the program and then restart it. Has anyone else had similar problems? All Adobe solutions?

Have you disabled GPU?

  • MacBook pro keeps freezing

My macbook pro (early 2015) has been working great until about a week ago. It started freezing and now it done very often. IM do not receive a beachball, the mouse pointer remains the same. Im having to restart it manually each time by holding down the power button. This problem began only after I have updated to the version OS X EL capitan 10.11.4. 80 GB of free space so I don't think it's a problem.

    All solutions?

    Thank you

I had this problem too, like many other people (there is several messages and discussions already). Seems to happen more often with Mac in 2015.

There is nothing to do. I tried a clean install of El Capitan with full SSD erased and 10.11.4 combo update, it did not help; my macbook pro 13 2015 keeps freezing with Safari.

It is related to Safari or a framework/driver related to the browser.

Apple has to fix. Just use Firefox or Chrome.

  • Mac Pro keeps stopping, lightweight CPU a / b overtemp on

I bought a used Apple Mac Pro 2.1 in December.  I use it mainly for editing my photos on Adobe PS, using filter of camera RAW.  The unit never gave me any problems, until early last week.  Here are the specs:

    | 8-CORE 3.0Ghz (2 x Quad-Core)

    | 32 GB OF RAM

    | 250 GB SSD

    | V RAM OF 4 GB GTX-680

    | Double BONE - El Capitan (primary) and Yosemite on two separate boot disks.

All started early last week, with an error screen when I open an CR2 on Adobe PS file.  I got this message...

"Camera Raw has temporarily disabled acceleration graphics processor because of the error." Update your graphics card driver may solve the problem. "Choose the option 'Use the graphics processor' in the dialog box Camera Raw prefer to re - enable GPU support.

In 5 minutes, I when preferences and choose 'use the graphics processor', then continued my work.  Subsequently, the Mac suddenly stops without any warning whatsoever! No message, no noise from the tower itself, the power light remained.  I then turned off the power.  I waited for a minute and he went back on.  The password screen, it would be closed again.

I then let the rest of the machine for 30-45 minutes, removed any buildup of dust inside using compressed air and turned on the unit return to perform minor troubleshooting. as well as other "light work" to avoid an overload of the system... He will stop in 35 minutes to turn on the machine.

Still, I unplugged everything (including the power cord) to reinstall the two riser cards. I powered the Mac with the access panel open, to keep an eye on something unusual.  All fans are smooth running, no sign of problems.  Until I updated the driver (Nvidia Cuda) GPU, the machine will stop again in 10 minutes!  Frustrated, I opened the side panel to only discover, both red lights (CPU A / B) on the section of the overheating of the logic board.  After the recharge time, I restarted the MAC and ran a tempature monitor I have installed.  I noticed the radiator of the Northbridge turned very quickly when I was running Adobe PS, please refer to the picture I have attached.

I have no idea what to do next.  I'm not sure if I need a replacement PSU, or something else entirely.  Pointers, help and/or advice.  I greatly appreciate it!

  • Mac Pro (end 2013) freezing issues

    Hello

I bought a couple of years a new fantastic Mac Pro, but in a few months I started to think that I made a terrible choice.

The computer crashes very often since I updated it to El Capitan, but it was difficult to work on Adobe Premiere since the outset: ridiculously slow, three hours to make a 4 minute clip.

I contacted the Apple store, they kept for a week, they said he went from testing all the equipment and they found nothing wrong.

The mac is still suspended. SO FRUSTRATING.

I work on Photoshop, most of the time, but I have the experience of the 'freeze' even just browse the folders with the finder or visit a Web site on Chrome or watch movies. I unplugged all peripheral usb/firewire, mac freezes still. I repaired disk permissions but reports seem ok.

I started with the Mavericks, I upgraded to Yosemite, El Capitan I reinstalled from scratch.

But nothing has changed in fact related to the gel issue, once time and then (sometimes up to 8 times a day), I need to force a restart by using the power button, because everything is frozen.

The trackpad and the graphics tablet (Wacom Pro middle) are frozen, no key is accepted.

Apple has determined that in some late 2013 Mac Pro graphics cards may cause video problems - without video, system instability, freeze - but it seems that only the GPU AMD OVER-PANTS D500/D700 are affected (I have the base model with a D300).

Do you have any hint? Is that what I can do to understand what is the problem?

I wish I could be in a position, at least, to reproduce the problem, but sometimes it takes days between a 'freeze' and the other. Error reports are generated not either, it is one of the error messages Console that I could find:

WindowServer [176]: GPU Driver seems to be suspended (more than 5 continuous seconds of reluctance)

I am a professional photographer and work is very unproductive and frustrating. I'm losing money customers time and my mood, and I would like a response from Apple on this topic.

Looks like it could be due to problem of graphic material.

  • Freezing / sluggish: Logic Pro 9. Mac Pro; Yosemite

As the title suggests, I am experiencing sluggish controls and performance in reading with Logic Pro.  My specs are:

Mac Pro (round) mid-2010; 2.8 GHz Quad Core (Intel); 12 GB OF RAM

    10.10.5 Yosemite

    Logic Pro 9.1.8

Everything is apparently fine with the performance, however, I randomly and almost inevitably experience the app 'snap '.

Never quite completely, it freezes, will get rather unresponsive in functions such as when I'm in the reading, he will just continue to play while any activated button will be delayed for a few seconds until the number of seconds before he answers.  This does not happen with the launch at the beginning of a session and a cool app, but wire time, it will be unless I have close / restart the application.

I recently created a new installation of Yosemite on his own internal drive - using a stock of Apple HD (Western Digital, Black Label, 1 TB, 7200 RPM)

The only thing installed on the OS drive is Logic Pro and a few plug-ins.  I watch performance monitors, nothing appears close to overload (this is both logic and Universal Audio monitors CPU usage).  My sessions are not complicated: consist on average of about 4-5 stereo Audio tracks / track Instrument 1-2 / 2-4 Bus titles.  Plug-ins averaged around 2-4 per track.

I use a writing another drive internal (2 TB) and save the files of session while recording / mixing.  My plan was to spend the end sessions at the coast by car after completing their but I suspect that it is the source of performance problems.

My question is, I'm pretty committed to get an upgrade of RAM max (32 GB for my system).  I hope that this will add enough buffer space to avoid blockages in the performance.

    • It is, 12 GB sound like a stretch to try to run the logic without any problems?

    • Would a 32 GB upgrade be important?

    • Logic Pro (9) have known problems with hang up and becomes unresponsive / slow over a period of time with a running period session continues?

    • Any other use?

    • Is it I better off working on and recording of current session to the local operating system drive rather than another drive?

In fact... I think you will find that much of this is related to graphics performance. Are you running one of the EQS of channel mode Analyzer, medium or hi res? This will certainly lead to delays, even if they are not displayed. Logic 9 graphics routines is quite old and showing their age with newer operating systems. Using a dual monitor system (display)?

  • Mac Pro freezes on the screen saver 10.11.5

Have a Mac Pro and have a problem when the system freezes and locks up and must power cycle back.    He had related app so tested, but also happens with no apps running third and now thinking seems to be related screensaver.  I have turned off the screen saver and will see what happens now.  However, someone else has the issue of the screensaver crashing the OS X on a Mac Pro to 10.11.5?

No, I have not heard of this.

You do not all apps of third parties running in the foreground, but can still cause the problem. Boot in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key when starting) and see if the problem persists when the screen saver is used.

All of a sudden, when I search google or work on a document, the mouse freezes and the keyboard no longer responds. The computer is frozen for a few seconds before restarting. My father has Mac running, fan control, which I think can be a problem because the console says that it was exceedingly wake up and he was grounds dumps of spin. This report, which I had today, mentions CPUPowerManagement, this has something to do with the fans, or is it something completely different? What can I do to stop these glaciations occur?

  • MacBook Pro early 2015 keeps freezing

I have a (retina, 13 in.) Macbook Pro to early 2015 which keeps freezing randomly. By this, I mean that the screen freezes when I am browsing on safari, or when I'm coding, etc. and also the trackpad and keyboard stop working.
I can't move the cursor (and it stays the same, it does not change to the beachball) and the trackpad gives no feedback whatsoever, I stop being able to 'feel' the clicks.
This began to happen shortly after I updated to El Capitan, and now it freezes on me once a day or every two days.
    Here are my specs:

    OS: El Capitan 10.11.4

MacBookPro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor

    8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 memory

  • When using OS 10.11.4 after using Safari for a few minutes, the system freezes, the only way to UN - freeze is to close the system with the power switch on my Mac Pro early 2008. Any ideas?

When you use Safari on my system Mac Pro 8 core early 2008 if will freeze with no other way to free it up it's close with the power button.  Any ideas?

Once you can restart go immediately to disk utilities and run repair disk permissions.

  • After Effects CS6 catastrophically freezes Mac Pro / Quadro 4000

From late yesterday, my system crashes catastrophically shortly after I start moving things around in a comp. AE also, Photoshop CS6 did the same thing for my system this morning when I was using the marquee tool. I use CS6 Production Premium for the last 3 weeks or so, with almost zero problems in one of the applications up to yesterday.

When it freezes, a screen goes black (the main, powered by a Quadro 4000) and the other is completely blocked on what he showed up until I hold in the power button and shut it down. I have a feeling that it could have something to do with the card Quadro. I hope this isn't, because I use the engine for raytracing in AE.

I myself joined midi CS6 Production Premium yesterday. I wonder if this could be related, since AE ties into several pieces of third-party softwarelike Mocha AE (that I opened) after registering CS6. I did other software/hardware changes lately.

A new installation of Lion, fate has been incredibly fast and stable so far. I was wondering if it might have to do with the disk cache, because I was doing a ton of rotobrushing, 3D tracking and precomped raytracing leading to it, but it happened now in Photoshop too. (My cache on disk is set up on my fiber RAID)

The crash in AE is not specific to my project, although he started a CS6 project's got very, very complex. I can open it create a new project, up a solid in and start messing around with it and in a minute it blocks the Mac.

Someone saw something like that? I'll try to unplug my Quadro then and see if it happens again.

    Material:

    Mac Pro 4.1 (2009)

    Two screens 24 "Apple LED

NVidia Quadro 4000 (first slot, 1 display)

NVidia GT120 (stock # second slot, 2nd screen, Apple card)

    2 x fiber Apple Xserve RAID-5 (3.5 to each)

24 GB of RAM (6x4Go in slots 1-3 and 5-7, as recommended for MP 4.1)

    Software:

Clean install of 10.7 Lion (I did this 3 weeks in preparation to the CS6), updated through 10.7.4

CS6 Production Premium (with x.0.1 updates)

I don't have Mac upward in front of me right now to list the drivers NVidia and CUDA, but I installed them fresh from the web three weeks ago, and I checked the updates yesterday.

Too bad, all the world. I just had this accident happen outside of Adobe applications. I started in Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (on my other startup disk) and did some work in DVD Studio Pro. Finally he gave me the same accident. While Adobe applications certainly trigger the problem immediately, so it is apparently specific to Adobe.
