LVOOP plugin in the compiled Application (8.2.1)

Is it possible to implement the type of the contours of plugin architecture in the document

«LabVIEW object-oriented programming: the decisions behind the Design»

in a bed 8.2.1 application?  I have that works well in the development environment, but apparently the "DefaultIstance" method for the lvclass does not work in an application...

Should I LV 8.6?

Shane.

I think I meant this one. I didn't read it fully, but I think it means that you can't do what you want to 8.2.

  • VISA does not not for the compiled application

I wrote an application that uses VISA, mainly GPIB resources.  in any case, my laptop has labview 8.5 installed on it.  When I run the app on my phone, it uses the GPIB fine, compiled or not compiled.  When I take the compiled application on my desktop which has run labVIEW files installed on it, the VISA resources are not even detected (nothing appears in the drop-down list control) in the application, but I can see them in MAX that is installed on the desktop computer.  Any suggestions?

    Brent

It seems that you have not included the VISA run-time when you generated the installation program. You have only included NOR-488 and MAX because the instruments are detected and MAX use visa when he performs an analysis of the instruments. You've created an installer didn't you?

Does anyone have an idea of what might happen between the compiled application and what scene Builder generates?

    Thank you

    Tim

I recreated the project in Netbeans and copied the Mac files in the src folder.  I opened the FXML in stage Builder and everything looked good.

Then I built the copied files and voila! The app seems correct with all images and colors of text (another oddity) on Windows 7.

There must be something weird happening between the stage Builder and Netbeans in Windows 7.

  • Is it possible to have a common accessible file location for the main application in the sandbox and its extension app plugin

I'm trying to launch an app on the app store for mac. The bundle of the main application and everything inside it is on sandbox.

The main application Bundle identifier is com.xxx.core.app . The identifier for the internal Plugin Finder Extension application Bundle is com.xxx.core.app.extensions .

Now the problem is the extension inner finder is also available in sand and trying to read a file written by the main application.

The main application writes the file location depending on mac OS X, for example temp/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app

But the internal Plugins try to read/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app/extensions

Because of the different bundle identifiers, they have different containers.

Can someone let me know how to limit the same application and its plugins to the same folder location. Does perform a work around for this problem.

    Hello yuktikapahwa,

See the Sandbox Apple Guide under the ApplicationDirectory group container

You must create a group that your container can access. I'm not 100% certain that this will work with extensions of Finder, but it seems the most logical place to start.

    Plugins are implemented with application.

You can check / introduced quite easily for example by exporting your app where is plugins, and import it on different id.

  • Problem with the compilation by using the new compiler (Compilation failed during execution: compilation-abc)

    Hello

Since the release of the fast compiler, I experienced problems with the compilation of the version release with it.

As it was still in beta, and since it was still possible to use the legacy compiler, I chose to use the legacy compiler each time (especially since it was more stable).

With this 64-bit iOS requirement came into play on February 1, the legacy compiler is no longer available because it has been completely removed from AIR 16 (and all future versions).

Now, I can no longer compile release versions (debug versions are works well) because I have the following error every time:

I tried to pin-point the source of the problem leaving specific things in the code, while removing all the rest,

But so far, all I could find is that he has a problem with the classes that extend EventDispatcher.

Anyone encounter this problem and knows how to work around it?

  • How to remove the old plugins in the add-on Manager

That is my question. Add-ons Manager shows all of those I want to delete as persons with disabilities. The existing responses do not work because when I get home the Manager of the page the word "delete" is not there. (see attachment)

Plugins are part of third party software that you have installed on your computer. To uninstall the plugin, you need to remove the application that has installed the plugin in the first place.
This is not always desired. So I'd keep just those unwanted plugins disabled. They won't hurt.
There are ways to fix the Windows registry so that these plugins are no longer visible for Firefox and therefore will not be displayed in the Add-ons Manager. But unless you know exactly what you are doing, you should not start playing with it.

  • No menu custom runtime not compiled application dynamically loaded top level VI

Problem occurs in LabVIEW 2011 SP1:

I have a main VI ("launcher VI') that generates other top-level screws by cloning when running a model them VI (* .lives). The clone laid screws have a menu custom runtime. Everything works very well, in the development as well as environment in a compiled application.

A debuggable compiled application also works very well, either autonomous running or under the control of a debug server, when I really do debugging.

However, when you control with thr debug server, runtime menu is only visible (but not used) in the VI controlled, while in the VI (remote) control the standard menu appears.

What should I do to display the custom in the VI remote menu?

    -Franz

I think that this is a known bug.

I think remember me a recurrent issue with menus run time, lost in compiled applications. However it only the effects of the menus that you create by using the menus TIME Editor. If you generate the menu programmatically, which IMHO is better anyway, you do not have the problem.

  • Can I synchronize Windows Live Hotmail for mac os x in the mail application? How?

Just a PC to an iMac.  I love.  I can shoot e-mail in the Mail application that comes with mac os x, but I can't seem to synchronize.  In other words, when I delete a hotmail on the iMac message that the message is still on the hotmail web site.  In addition, messages that I read on the iMac still appear as unread on the hotmail web site.  How can I my mac to synchronize with Windows Live Hotmail Mail?

    Hello

You can try this plugin I found on Apple's site, that should do the trick.

But if this does not work, I'd recommend posting your question in the Mac forums.

  • How can I run totally sperate VI of a compiled application

Hi, I have hit a wall here and don't know what direction I should be moving in.  A relevant detail, LV8.2 running and Vista/XP application builder.  Any suggestions on the approach I should take would be more useful.

I have a top-level application (compiled into the application Builder) from there I want to run other VI which are found elsewhere in my file system of the local network.  If the top-level application gives the user a standard interface, where they can then run the other VI which are specific tasks (but this detail is not serious for the user).

Over time I will add more task-oriented of the vi system and I want to avoid having to be part of these vi of the high-level application-oriented tasks as the maintenance will be more painful.  The opportunity to correct or add a new individual task oriented VI without having to recompile the entire application of high level is the goal.

On top of that I need to move some info to the VI-oriented task and get some information back from it.

Some points that I can't get my head at this point are-

    1. the task oriented VI - I need to compile these with the application builder or can I call a VI not compiled and run in the top-level application (I do not)?

    2. How do I call the VI of the top-level application-oriented task - I looked 'Reference VI open' and "Open Application references" and don't know how they apply to this situation.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, if not, I'm stuck with a lot of trial and error time consuming to understand this.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi guru,.

had to download a trial from LV to look at your work (always on LV8.2 ).  I can see how it's done.  Very well.  It is along a line, I thought, but there are obviously some details that would have taken some time to get on top of.  Thank you very much for tire him to point me in the right direction, I'm going to use this approach.

  • Passing the list of files to the compiler CAP *.java

I need to move the list of project files to the EUCPN compiler via the build.files file. It's because I wrote some batch scripts to automate construction projects for different platforms of BB OS. I tried the following script

    "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.6.0\bin\rapc.exe" -quiet -define=TARGET_BOLD;PREPROCESSOR import="C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.6.0\lib\net_rim_api.jar" codename=MyApp MyApp.rapc @MyApp_build.files

but it does not work. Compiler says

    D:\Projects\Current\MyApp\sources\Blackberry>"C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.6.0\bin\rapc.exe" -quiet -define=TARGET_BOLD;PREPROCESSOR import="C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.6.0\lib\net_rim_api.jar" codename=MyApp MyApp.rapc @MyApp_build.files
    Warning!: No entry points found
Warning!: No definition found for exported static routine: .main(String[])

As I understand it, there is a problem with the main application file. But I create MyApp_build.files files using the recursive directory listing and it contains the file .java with public Shared Sub Main definition.

Compiler generates no file build.files when there are a few files in the project. It creates a long line, where all the file names are listed. I tried to create inMyApp_build.files file in the list by copying-pasting compiler inside line and then split it into lines. After the compiler found the public Shared Sub main, but it loses other files. I can compile the project of the JDE, but I can't compile it from the command line.

Therefore, it is - how can I generate file build.files make it work? Who controls I need for files of project?

Thank you, finally I understand your words. The problem is that if you specify destdir attribute of tag, it moves all the resources in the folder root of the .jar file. If you specify destdir as the root of your project JDE (folder, where the file .jdw ) - in other words, when you do not specify this attribute at all - everything is OK, and compiler moves the resources in your project folder structure. So, if you have no problem with the project resources, you should NOT specify the destdir attribute and manually copy the .cod files after compilation.

    Thus, instead of

    You must use
