M240 removes IDv2 MP3 and album art.

Well, I have a question about my M240. More of a complaint and a WTF.

I had my m240 for... 6 months or more. I put my songs on my microSD card.

Well, my 32 GB card is to fill to the top, so I decided to put a little on the internal drive on the m240.

Now, I'm the * beep * type and I would like to have the album art and idv2 on all my MP3s. Who wouldn't?

So, I put the MP3 there. Restart it. The album art is now gone and IDv2 information went too.

Then, instead of see: Olivia Project

Xanadu

I see: Olivia Project

26 - Olivia-Xanadu project

And enter the info for the song on the m240, it does not list a year or a number for the song.

So yes, it removes information IDv2 for the song and removes all the art of the album.

Now, my MP3s are not read-only.

But, why in the holy hell Sandisk would do something that would be to edit a file?

Material should not be able to modify the software.

What the hell is going on?

  1. The m200 series is an old technology. Almost pre-historic. You say you had this 6 months. Well, the player was dropped about 6 years ago.
  2. This is the Clip Zip forum Board. Your question really shouldn't be displayed here. The Council of all the other MP3 players would be much more appropriate.
  3. But same assignment in correct boars, it will be difficult to find anyone who even remembers this former player, let alone a lot of knowledge about it more. I know that there are 4 versions of hardware/firmware, which even if not quite confused, SanDisk does not list this model here in the Firmware thread on this forum.

Edit: Reply to change is in the (aptly named) Options in the upper right of the display.

    Hello

    Try the following steps:

    a. connect to the Internet.

    b. open Windows Media Player.

    c. click on the Library tab, and then go to the album you want to resolve.

    d. right click on the album and then click on Find Album Info.

    e. If you get an error message that says you must change your privacy settings before you can update media information, follow these steps: click on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Privacy tab, and then clear music update files by retrieving the news media from the Internet check box. Then, in the library, repeat the previous step.

  • How to add lyrics and album art using windows media player 12 on Windows 7?

When I am running windows xp with WMP 11, adding lyrics, album art, and even synchronized lyrics is so easy, simply right-click on the song and select advanced tag editor.

The Advanced Tag Editor (ID3 tag editor), which allows users to edit information, is Aussie an important feature, but I do not understand why Microsoft has actually remove this function.

If I may ask, how to add the lyrics and album art in WMP 12. Find the album in WMP12 info function is really not that useful.  Japanese, Korean and Chinese songs when using find album info, generally, nothing is found.
    WMP12 is really irritating.

It's because you can't do it within the WMP12. You have to do a right click on the file from windows Explorer, made > properties > summary > advanced > then you can add the words within the field of words... you see it's really a stirring :(

  • Folders and album art

I have 2 problems I've come to find answers to, but never understood:

    Organization of the file:

    1. after checking that all the tags are correct on every song I organize my music into folders according to the artist, on my computer and then drag and drop the folders on my rocket.  When I unplug the "rocket" and go to browse the files on the device, half of my artists are now located in what is called a "new folder" and the original artist folders do not exist.  When I browse the device on my computer, it seems that all records are correct.  My question is: why the "rocket" reorganize my music in new cases and how can I better organize them in the future?

    Art of the album:

    2. I've tried several times to put album art into each folder and name the folder.jpg work, but it seems to never work.  I also edited the tag image in WMP, but that does not work either.  Some songs have the album on the "rocket" art, but I never put it in the folder with the songs so I'm a bit confused why show album artwork, but others who are not.  Can someone tell me how / if they got the album art to work?

Thanks a lot for any advice you may have!

You are in MSC mode?  (settings/system settings/usb mode)

If not, I would like to do 2 things - if you have tracks on your PC (I hope you do):

    1. format the drive using the option on the device (later to go back and make sure that you are in MSC mode, as this can by default return)

    2. after verification of your files are right and that each folder that contains music files has a folder.jpg (and I mean here the folder with the music-not no matter what parent of records.  If your files are artist\album with the music in the folder album make you think the folder.jpg in the album folder) drag and drop everything on the player.

If you are in MSC mode, I'm not sure that your file number, but I found the cover of the album difficult to change until I did a format and reload (with correct art).  So, it might be useful to do the above anyway.

  • Windows 7 Media Player 12.0.7601: album art don't is not displayed even if the column is selected and album art is saved on the drive

I just loaded all my music from my Windows XP system on my Windows 7 system.  Each album has album art that appears in "now playing".  But when I opened an album in library view and list titles, album art is not displayed even if she is among the columns selected to be shown.  All other columns appear and disappear depending on whether I choose them, but the album art is not.

How to display album art?  Please don't tell me to switch to playback.  It is very unpleasant for me.  Even if the album art is displayed there, the space that is takes 2/3 of the screen to keep a small image of the cover of the album.  The list of receives securities only 1/3 remaining, so there is not enough space to display more than the name of the track, rating and length.  In addition, I don't want to see the sides, but they show that even though I have deselected this column.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I see that you want to delete the album art of the media player on your HP Pavilion laptop. I want to help you with this question.

  • Windows Media Player does not update album art and album info.

I have a desktop HP Envy h8 - 1417c 64 bit PC and I've recently updated to 8.1 of Windows (from Windows 8 - entered loaded on the PC). After the update, Windows Media Player still works fine, but it doesn't accept new information when I try to extract one of my new CDs to the library of music and album art. It search in the internet and search the correct art and information, but when you click on accept, nothing happens. CD selections simply remain blank. I can still see the info from old files and art (before the update), so I know he kept what was already ripped. I also have a vague called music editing software yet (which works with Windows 8), and he finds no more album. Also, I loaded iTunes and have no problem to find illustrations of album and info with this program. Is there something that I am missing? I can't find anyone having this same problem on the internet. Thank you.

  • Album art-help keep appearing in photo albums

Please, this is ridiculous. I have my USB on the touchpad to empty completely. Then I add a folder of music 10 mp3, nothing else, no hidden files to all files. Then I opened photos and album art appears in it. I don't know where its coming from. His album art of the 10 mp3s, I added, but I don't want no album art appears in my photo albums. How can I stop the he does this because he's really irritating me?

Often, when you rip a CD, you will find the album art stored in a file .jpg, as well as music files. It is usually in several sizes.  Remove them file should remove them completely.

This 'feature' of webOS has often complained to HPalm.  So far, they have not found a way to disable this art to appear.  When webOS sees an image anywhere on the USB key, it is added to the app Photos & videos.  :-(

  • How to prevent synchronization of ipod touch album art

When I create playlists for my Ipod touch (4th generation), the Pocket attached to one of these songs in my itunes library is also transferred to the ipod.

When I attach my ipod to read in my BMW car, if the song has album artwork, which will appear on the display BMW car rather than the title of the song played, which contains that briefly at the beginning of the song. When a song is playing and has no album art, just the title of the song and the artist appears on the screen of the car, which is what I want all songs on the ipod.  I would like to remove all the ipod album art (not my itunes library) or to prevent the synchronization of the work in the first place. I just want to see the titles of songs, the titles of the album and artists on the screen of the car when I use my Ipod in the car.

Delete the work songs in iTunes, then sync to the iPod.

There is no setting to prevent the work of synchronization when the work is in iTunes.

  • Album art Itunes using the Sansa Fuze.

I add album art to several of my albums on Itunes. I then put the songs in a folder on my desktop (the music opens in Winamp) and then put them on my Sansa Fuze. However, the album art is not displayed. How can I solve this problem? Thank you!

Hands down. the best tool to check the metadata and album art is MP3Tag.  If the embedded art is not of joy, you have MP3Tag export a file as album art.jpg or folder.jpg, another name of file will work with the Sansa.

Mp3Tag is a free download, but you can make a donation to the author.  Should be supported, as well as the tool works!

    This is for you.

    Bob

I finally gave it a try just now, so I could properly integrate album art, and the program really is up to the hype.

  • Album art?

I can't figure out how to get my Sansa Fuze to display the album art associated with certain songs. On Rhapsody, in my library, the work of corret appears when I select a song to play, even when I play the Sansa directly when connected to my PC. But when you use the portable Sansa, no album appears so when listening to songs. How can I fix it? Thank you.

    Squire-

If you download the files from the Rhapsody with the R4 client, the album art is automatically transferred to your device (in MTP mode at least).  Well, it will in theory.  I had problems with imported CDs and some transfers of album showing album art in the client, but not on the "rocket".

What happens in the R4 client, is that it takes the art of the database online instead of watching the device files.  If you import into the library of your PC, you can have a look at data from ID3 tag including album art, and you can edit it from there.  To use the Rhapsody 4 Editor, open the client, then select 'my library '.  If you right click on a track, you can use the editor.

To work on all the tracks of an album, simply open the window of the left border of the pane in my library by clicking on the button in the left edge.  Selection of the album for your view.  Scroll to the album, and right click.  Rhapsody will ask if you want to "modify several tracks", which is our choice, otherwise, the album art will show for a track only.

The tricky part is that you must delete the file existing in your Sansa, then transfer back the version of the Rhapsody to your rocket when finished.

There is a cool video available that shows the proven mode MSC or MTP, manual method to add album art, if you want to do it this way.  Check it out SanDisk how-to Videos.

Alternatively, try something very nice indeed, MP3Tag.  I found that this application is the best thing since the pretranches pickle dill to solve the problems of ID3 tag and album art.  You can use MP3Tag to automatically export the file folder.jpg or album art.jpg necessary to the tag embedded in the album folder, without having to search the Internet art or clip.

If Rhapsody album art, MP3Tag zorches makes a happy Sansa.

Indeed, on this thought, if something zorches album art, this application is great.  You can set it to write your ID3 tags in the right format to ID3v2.3 ISO 8859-1, well that is automatic through the Rhapsody client.

  • Collage of album covers in the past I copied and pasted the album art to my music (MP3) have ripped off a disk files. Is it possible to remove the art I ad

original title: collage of album art

Hello everyone, I have a question... In the past I have copied and pasted album art to my music (MP3) have ripped off a disk files. Is it possible to remove the art that I added and to restore the original empty file?

    Hello

    Method 1:

Album art should appear in the view "is on the air." However, if you select the album of the artist, the album art is not displayed.

In the upper right corner there is Options to view fall down. Change the details to tiles view expanded and the cover of the album should reappear.

If this does not help, then go to the center of the Action. Click on troubleshooting.

Click Show all on the left side, and then select Windows Media Player troubleshooting
    Options.

Refer to this link and check if it helps:

    Method 2:

Try to clear the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Try dragging and dropping them to instead of using WMP11. I noticed that the art would always come with WMP11.
