  • How to enable two-sided printing on MacBook Pro with Canon MX490 printer

    Hello

I have the MacBook Pro (retina, 13-inch, early 2013) and OS X version 10.11.4 (15E65) and Printer series Canon MX490.

When I try to make a double-sided, the printer settings printing does not allow me activate two-sided printing.

Also when I go into the settings of the printer, there is no option for me to select this option to enable printing double-sided or duplex printing etc..

When I try to print with TextEdit settings, I still get the same printer settings and it does not allow me to enable two-sided printing.

I couldn't find answers online, and frankly it's frustrating. I would appreciate if anyone can help with the problem.

    Thank you very much!

  • How to disable double-sided printing on HP jet Office 6700

I just bought a HP officejet 6700 premium for my iMac computer. I also installed Microsoft for my iMac. I don't want the duplex printer forever. I tried going to system preferences / printers, etc. and it directs me to the Web site of the printer. From there I can't find a way to change the default to double-sided printing to 'off '. What impression in Word, select print and then show presets, and it is said that double-sided are turned off, but still, it prints double-sided. I also tried to register a new printer with printing double-sided as off and it still prints double-sided. I also do not know how to change the default setting on the printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi crayric,

    We gladly invite you.

The above information refers to Mac OS X, however, I included the steps for the latest versions of OS X (10.7 or 10.8) because you did not mention the version of your operating system.

If you have an earlier version of the OS 10.6 or 10.5, you may need to click the icon shaped triangle next to the name of the printer to spend the print settings in the print dialog box.

For any question, please specify your exact OS version (you can find that out by clicking the Apple icon, then the about this Mac, also well let me know the exact Office for Mac version installed on your Mac (2004, 2008 or 2011).

  • How to scan double-sided in the order of the pages, in PDF with Photosmart 7520.

    Hello everyone,

I have a Photosmart HP 7520 use with Mac OS Mountain Lion 10.7 connected via Wi - Fi. I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro.

I need to scan double-sided 300 pages in a document. I'm sure that the ADF will bite of it, but if I understand correctly that the 7520 does not scan two-sided (as it prints) if can anyone advise how to on this subject.

To ensure the best possible scan, I thought to scan all pages on one side, then go back and scan in the rest. Otherwise we could force me to edit pages after scanning, which makes a long process. I guess, but don't know how do it, that I could create a PDF and then a second, then using software tools to load the second PDF integrate after each page in the first. Or is there a better way to go about this?

I so want, just to be absolutely clear analysis in a document double face of 300 pages in the most user-friendly and fastest way possible, the end result is probably a 600-page, PDF format.  Please indicate the methods and software tools, I need.

Thank you in advance. Can't wait to put it to work.

Do you use the HP software to scan from the ADF?  On my Windows PC, I have a file called HP printer Assistant or, for some, it's simply scan HP. You can find in your utility Section.  After I open and select scan in one. PDF document from the ADF, I see a box to check the brand which allows me to turn on duplex scanning.  Do you see something like this when you scan on your computer?   I know you said that you use a Mac, so I hope you have this option somewhere.  I'm not very competent in Mac OS, but I'm sure that the term "scanning two-sided" can be found on the appropriate scan utility.  I know it's possible!  Let me know if you find it or not and I do on a Mac computer and research here.

  • How to print double-sided in In Design when certain sections have an odd number of pages?

I'm new to In Design and I'm doing something that seems pretty basic and the difficulty in finding ways to do it and I have not found anything in the Adobe Forum or online that responds to this situation.

I'm working on a document that is divided into sections, with page numbering starts at Page 1 for each section.  I have mirror image layouts for odd pages and even masters - for example, the page number is on the left on even pages and to the right of the odd pages, as you would expect generally to see on a double-sided print, where in a workbook or a workbook, the even-numbered pages are on the left and odd pages are on the right.

I print the document from my computer to a printer that supports double-sided printing.  I don't see any option in the file / print window to two face impression, so I put this option on the printer itself by using the [Setup...] button at the bottom of the window.  It works - I'm printing on both sides of sheets of paper.

For the moment, the first section is 3 pages (two blocks spread with the first page, one with the other two).  The next starts of section by number 1 on the third page spread (one page) and continues then a two-page spread - as expected.

That is the problem - the first page of the second section is printing on the back of the last sheet of the first section, rather than on a new sheet from the front - so when I put it in a binder, the odd pages are on the same pages on the right and the left.  Whenever I have reached the end of another section with an odd number of pages, she rotates on itself again.

There is a workaround solution manual I found - browse the document and add a blank page at the end of each section that has an odd number of pages (and check "print blank Pages).  But I have to do every time I feel that I am adding new pages and add/remove blank pages the number at each change of sections.

I can't believe that In Design does not provide a way to make this work correctly, I'm sure a lot of people have had this same situation, and I hope it is something simple that just, I have not been able to understand...

    Help! (Thanks!  B ^)

Frankly, it's a feature of the years, I tried, and I expect a professional page layout application to have. Something on the order of "duplex respect page layout." It would be very useful when printing only part of a document that happens to start with a page of pairs.

I do catalogs in the sections, and each section begins with a left page. When duplex printing a section given, I must print this page first separately and duplex then the rest. Kind of pain and should not be necessary.

    Hello

From your computer you can scan both sides using HP Easy Scan:

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/HP-easy-scan/id967004861?MT=12

In the menu presets, set the type of Document and the source as document feeder, and then check the box to scan both sides.

  • LaserJet M476DW MFP: Several copies print double-sided

I can't print multiple copies of a document to a single page without the printer / driver deciding that it will print each copy of hand and side of the page. If I ask 8 copies, I get 4 pages with the same document at each side. This happens on all of our PCs, but not our Macs. I am running the latest version of the driver, I also tried a generic HP Universal print driver without result.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    > >... I'll try that, but doesn't look like it a workable solution because it is beyond the competence of our users...

Only, you will need to change this once (by the printer).

As far as I know, the problem:

    • Only affects the printing tasks, (some) that do not include the statement 'set simplex' appropriate - in in which case the duplex = Off setting on the printer should come into force.
    • Almost certainly will not affect duplex jobs, because these jobs do include the appropriate statement 'duplex set' - in which case he too will drive the printer duplex = Offdefault.

  • M277dw MFP: Double-sided COPY (do not print) with the ADF and MFP M277dw color printer

This unit can perform a copy front and back on a pile of documents front / back, loaded in the ADF? (I know that it is able to copy both sides of a single page).

In the list of options in control panel touch control for "duplex", it has classified 2 options from which to choose:

    1 - face to face 1

    1 - face to face 2

It seems that I need a "2-sided to 2 faces" option, correct?

It seems that the device must be capable of 2 faces double-sided COPY and more double-sided printing.

I tried several combinations of different settings but cannot figure it out (if it is even possible) to take a stack of documents face 2. Put them together in the ADF and the output device an identical pile of copies 2 faces.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

    Hey @AA10,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you try to double-sided copy on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. There the duplexer to print system which allows you to print 2 sides, but does not have a duplexer built-in automatic document feeder. That's why you miss the 2 head to head 2 under the menu copy option. The two-sided to 2 in the menu copy allows you to copy documents two unique faces the printer would then print 2 sides. You must copy a page at a time and return them to make Copies in duplex.

Please let me know if you have found this information useful.

  • LaserJet pro M277dw MFP: double-sided printing

Really frustrating! New printer, put in place and works well with El Capitan except I can't seem to find a way to configure for automatic duplex copy. Read all the forums, but the options do not exist with El Capitan! Can someone help me please?

    Hello

You related to automatic duplex printing or copy? While your title refers to printing your description refer to the copy...

Regarding printing, follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

In the file being used to print click the file menu and select print.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Press show details to show all available print option.

In the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

To select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as the binding edge (Portrait) Long or short edge (landscape) bond.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

About two-sided copying, the M277dw offer that duplex printing features, not copy both sides of a document original two-sides.
