  as you know, a session is unique with 2 fields, SID and serial that exists on the view v$ session.
  
  My question is why no serial need and for which case no_serie evolves.
  
  now, you can say that, "only oracle developers know this, it is the design," but I want to say is, for ex: if I wanted to find a session that is locked by another session, I use this:
  

  select * from v$session where blocking_session is not null;

  in the blocking_Session field, oracle gives me the session id (SID) that is blocking a session. so I can use this SID and I can kill for example but SID is not unique for a session I can find more than one session with the same SID that it is blocking?
  
  in real life I saw an example of this, there is not even sid to the system as my example of session blocking. so I believe that this # is the attribution to another series end, I mean, I thougth it might be for the autonomous transaction, maybe they user same sid but DIF serial # but when I tested it, I saw that I was wrong.

  The SERIAL no is mainly used to ensure that the session level controls are applied to the correct session objects if the session ends and a new session begins with the same session ID.

• WMP12 is constantly "retrieving media info for an unknown album", but I do not have strangers albums

  For as long as I can remember since I had Windows 7, WMP constantly said "Recovery media info for an unknown album" in the lower status bar. The only time wherever it's never going away when is actively an update of the library. Then once the update is complete, it will return to say "Recovery media info for an unknown album." I had assumed that maybe it was because I had a few albums that had no tags. I recently went through those and manually corrected the tags, so now I don't have any of the unknown artists or albums. Yet I still get the same status all the time. I noticed, though, that if I sort my library by the artist, all the way down it is 'Unknown' with 1 song under the heading 'other '. This can be read and nothing happens when I try to remove it.

  I also had problems with sometimes jumps and small pauses in the playback, especially of WMA files. As my computer needs to be powerful enough to play audio files smoothly even in multitasking, I wonder if WMP is constantly trying to update a non-existent album could cause these problems.

  I have a large music library (file ~ 18000). I use WMP exclusively because I have a large number of WMA files with DRM licenses and is one of the few players who can handle this. I also use WMP on my computer to play music over the radio show, so it is very important that I get rid of this glitchy reading.

  I use Windows 7 64 bit and WMP12 on a computer with processor dual core 2.53 GHZ and 4 GB of RAM. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

  Hi Ben,

  Trying to play or delete the file in the library nothing results. It seems that the Windows Media Player 12 library database is corrupted.
  We recommend that you clear the Windows Media Player database and check the result. To do this, try the following steps:
  a. Click Start, type run, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
  b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
  Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
  c. restart Windows Media Player and check the result.
  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  I have goggled autour and it seems that this laptop has been delivered only with Win XP and that is why drivers are not available.
  In addition, the Win98 is a very old operating system and Satellite L100 is designed several months ago. No one is using the Win98 on this laptop. Everyone wants to install the new Vista ;)
  I n t want to dash your hopes, but I don t think that Toshiba will create the Win98 drivers for this laptop.

  You must understand that there is not some sort of Toshiba global support and download page. That is why if your laptop is designed for the Japanese market so only is this laptop backed on to the Japan Toshiba support page.

  This laptop model is not available in Europe, and you won't find drivers on European support page. So either try to use drivers for some similar Portege model or directly check the download page for equipment manufacturers.

  C605 satellite does not for me and I didn't found on Toshiba European driver download page. So I did a Google search and it seems that it s an American model and all the drivers can be downloaded here:
