  You have Direct wireless enabled in the printer.  Disable wireless directly into the printer.   Connect your printer to your router's SSID.  Don't hide your SSID routers.

  I just put a laptop for windows 7 64 bit. After you have installed the software package for a M475 MFP HP LaserJet Pro 400 via USB it analyzes not the sheet feeder. The scans are empty. Any ideas as to the cause.

• grinding noise when my HP LaserJet Pro 400 color MFP M475 calibrates

  When my color HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475 recalibrates, I get a grinding or gear sliding noise.  No idea how to fix it or what to look for?

  Noise problems are difficult to troubleshoot remotely and they could easily mislead even when we are near the unit.

  Please confirm if the noise is a squeak or a noise squeky/hum.

  As you mentioned that this happens only during calibration, it is why I suggest you to double check & validate your toner cartridges.  Among the toner cartrdige is maybe defective and causing this problem.

  If not the toner cartridge, then it would be one of the components of hardware printer that is at issue, where a Tech HP may need to perform a physical inspection of the aircraft and the error condition.

• Get full use of the color M475 MFP toner

  On my M475 MFP, when the black toner cartridge is low, the printer tells me but keep while printing that reduces print quality.  Then change the black cartridge when I judge that the print quality has sufficiently decreased.  Being a frugal guy and a control freak, I like it.

  It isn't the same way with the color toner cartridges.  When a color cartridge arrives at a certain low level (about?), the printer forces color to print grayscale images and forces me to change the cartridge color before it will print in color once again.

  I have a few questions about this:

  (1) is there a way I can force the printer to not convert to grayscale printing and rather keep printing in color and let me judge when the color quality decreases enough to change the color cartridge?

  (2) how the color toner level report work - it is true measurement, or is it estimate?  The on-screen or printed report documentation speaks estimates developed during the first 20% of the use of the cartridge.  My question is more precisely, when the printer tells me a color cartridge is low, is this really low cartridge or it is just an estimate?

  The reason why I have the second question is that I do the big flood of printing in black and white and I have the opportunity to print in color.  It seems that the color cartridges last as long as they should.  If the printer is the estimated level of toner of color based on the total number of printed pages, even when these pages do not use color, so it would seem that my printing in black and white is falsely causing a decline in the estimation of color toner remaining and ends by forcing me to prematurely replace colour cartridges before they really empty.

  Also expensive that the toner cartridges are, if I can't go to a measuring system for color toner level or leave the cartridges of color to really run out as opposed to the printer forcing print in grayscale at a certain level of toner color estimated, then I prefer to buy a black printer only for printing in black and white and extend the life of the color cartridges of this way.

  According to the manual this printer User Guide :

  When a color cartridge becomes very low, the product prints black only to avoid interruptions of fax.

  To configure the product to print in color and use the remaining toner in the print spent very low cartridge, follow these steps:

  In the homescreen of the Control Panel, press the Setup button.

  Open the following menus:

  • The system configuration
  • Power settings
  • Color cartridges
  • Very low setting
  • Continue

  When you choose to replace the very small print cartridge, color printing automatically resumes.

  Don't know how the level of toner detection, but I guess it's some sort of estimate.

• M475 MFP error Fuser 50.9

  My MFP M475 began to display "Fuser error 50.9.

  I followed the instructions to power cycle and have disconnected from the grid during the night but the problem persists. This error prevents the use of the device.

  The Unit became after the warranty expires in June 2013 however the use was very light, still running on the embedded original toner cartridges - estimate the 2000 prints altogether.

• HP LaserJet Pro M475: Print Duplex when not intended

  I have a problem printing to my HP LaserJet Pro M475DW. While the duplex printing works well, there is one thing that I do deal with. If I have an "even number paged document" everything is good. If there are an odd number of pages AND I want to print multiple copies, each blank page is printed. For example, 10 copies of a single doc page translates into 5 printed pages duplex with a copy of each side of the page. 2 copies printed on a 3 results of document from page to page 1 of the second copy being printed on side 2 of the second page of copy one. I've seen this with Windows 7 PRO 64-bit, Win10, 64-bit. The M475DW is wireless printing, but an access point. Essentially, each blank page is printed on weather or not, it is part of the same document if multiple copies are selected. If I want 10 copies of a doc simple face, I need to print 10 - single prints, one at a time.

  Symptoms suggest that the printer driver is probably at fault by not properly inserting commands to eject the last sheet of copy before starting on the first page of the next copy.

  'Capture' a sample (sanitized data) print file (using the "print to a file" option in the print dialog) and analysis the file resulting .prn should comply or not this is the case.

  You can perform your analysis using the PRN file analysis tool in paraphernalia PCL app, available via http://www.pclparaphernalia.eu

  If the driver is at fault, then you will need to check whether or not another pilot is available/appropriate.

  If the driver does not seem to be at fault, this probably means a fault of printer firmware; Verify that your printer has the latest version of installed firmware.

  @JeffJSmith that the response was more directed towards @mbrown2104. You should be able to scan using Windows Fax and Scan or paint. If the software for your printer and scanner are not available, it is the only way that you can scan. The document below will guide you in the process.

• While printers working wirelessly on a surface running Windows Rt?

  After the purchase of a wireless all in one printer to work with my 2 surface running Windows 8.1 Rt, I discovered that it would be wireless printing but the software to run the scan function is not compatible with this operating system. I am trying to determine which printers work completely.

• Set up printer M451 to deplete its color ink cartridges

  My M451 color laser printer is currently set to force printing in black and white when one of its color toner cartridges falls to a very low level.  Could someone tell me how to put in place to keep just print in color?  This will allow me to decide when the color print quality gets bad enough that I want to change the cartridge.

  The other day someone here very usefully showed me how to do this with my M475, and hope for a repeat of this notice for the M451.

  Any thoughts appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

  I tried setting my new laserjet pro 400 color mfp m475dn, two upward ways described in the installation guide; either via the automatic installation and CD rom. I followed the instructions exactly each 10 times I tried. I even downloaded the software again on the HP site and tried to install that. Each time the same result:

  "Install operation has been too long..." Fatal error etc."after he had reached and hung 99% installed.

  Any ideas guys?

  You have two options:

  1. If you try to install this printer via a USB port, please do a network install and use the driver from hp.com.

  M475 solution print driver full

  2. If you unble to do a network installation, then please look to see if you have a universal print driver installed on your machine. If you do, then you must remove the UPD driver, re-boot and re - install the m475 SW.

• LaserJet M451: Assembly output duplex

  I have a Laserjet M451, and I like it.  But, I can't understand how collect the copies.  I just print a document of 34 pages, two copies, duplex, and I had 1, 2 Pages and then the Pages 1, 2 again, then two copies of pages 3, 4 and so on.  So now I have to manually separate into two copies.

  Yes, I know that I can print the same document in two different moments.

  However, never in reputable printer maker offers an option of "gathering" in the software, so the software will collect and print a full copy, and print the next and so on until all copies are printed.  Then are then correctly numbered.

  There is no mention of "gathering" in any help document that I can find.  Is the missing functionality that will make me to tell my clients to avoid this printer and its "software?

  The User Guide manual for printers Laserjet Pro 300/400 M351/M451 indicates there (should be) a Collate box in the dialog (Windows) Print :

  

  I don't have Windows 7, so I can't confirm this.

  On my Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit system, the dialog print for my LaserJet Pro MFP color 400 M475dn (Variant multifunction printer M451 ) fact include such a box.

  A point to note: with some printers (offhand, I don't know if this applies to M451/M475 models), the ordering method depends on whether or not a hard drive is mounted on the camera.

  • If one is fitted, the printer driver needs to send the job to print once, with a PJLcommand (working level) to produce ' is best. the printer stores the job on the hard drive and print copies from there.
  • If it is not available, the pilot must send all the work print ' once (unless it's just a job of the leaf), since it is highly unlikely that a work of several sheet can be stored in its entirety in the RAM of the printer.

  With this mechanism, the printer driver must obviously know (through automatic detection, or through manual property settings) or not a hard drive is mounted on the device
