M476 MFP: Scan to network folder, multiple pages

Is there a a way to be able to add multiple pages to a document when scanning to a network folder, using the dish?

It seems that you have several pages when using the ADF, but not the option scan multiple pages using the tray.

This can be changed?

I could not see anything in the settings that will allow this change...

Thank you

Hello

Scanning of pages multile since the front panel of the printer is possible from the top, ADF, such digitization of the sweeping flat can be done only from the HP software on your computer.

To analyze such a, open the scanning program HP from the folder of the start HP Menu, set the resolution to 300 DPI or below and set the source as flat Scan, then click on the Scan button and the button "+" under the scan preview allows you to add additional pages to the glass.

Kind regards

    Hello

As long as you enable sharing of Windows files for the user the pritner will not be able to connect because it only supports SMB.

By testing, I see the user as available for selection Although SMB is off...

You can try creating a new user account and set it for this purpose (you won't even need this user to login, just set it to the printer while offering both users access to that folder, then you can continue to use your current users).

  • LaserJet Pro M225dw MFP: Problems of scan to network folder

    Hello.

I set up a portable computer with the printer mentioned above. No problem printing and no problem to set up Scan to network on the web interface folder (ran test and got the result OK) but there are issues when scanning in fact the printer. I put it in a document to scan in the top loader, select scan, scan to network folder, your computer (or rather folder name) and click Scan. The printer draws the paper and then started working. A pdf document will appear in the folder, the printer is how ever is already done. He keeps grinding on it for a while and then the signals being completed. At this moment, the pdf file disappears from the record.

    What could cause that?

    Hi Bill,

Please be sure to use the IP address rathert han Hello hostname:

Locate the IP address of the Mac (you can find it by opening system preferences > network.)

Check the IP address in the Wi - Fi or Ethernet connection.

That provide the printer path shared help

    \\[MACIPADDRESS]\[SHAREDFOLDER]

    (for example \\10.0.0.1\scan as example)

Additionally, make sure that SMB sharing is enabled in the sharing settings:

Go into System Preferences > sharing.

Enter the parameters for file sharing.

    Click on the settings button.

Make sure the option to share files and folders using SMB (Windows) is checked.

Finally, check the folder appear in the shared folder column and users have write permissions assigned.

For any other question, it may help if you can put the parameters supplied on your Mac and those who put you in the EWS page so.,.

  • OfficeJet 8620: Error using scan to network folder - although the EWS test demonstrates the success

I have configured the 8620 via the integrated Web server for scanning to \ \Scans < ip address of my macbook > the 'test' function's successful return.  However, when I run a scan to network folder in the control panel of the printer, I get the error: "cannot write in------< ip address > \Scans.» Destination folder is read-only, has the wrong permissions, or is no longer available. "I don't see how that's possible given the test of EWS.  I confirmed that the file is read-write for all.

    Hi @tfeeneytx

I see that you have taken the lead and sent the scan to network folder problem you encounter as you mentioned that you on your previous post. I'd be happy to help you with this also.

  • HPOfficeJet Pro 8630: Scan to network folder fails

I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 without password on my computer, although the previous installation did use a password. Now I can not scan to network folder (error message that the user name or password is incorrect), or save faxes on my computer. (error message that there is no communication between the computer and the printer). I checked the windows firewall, I restarted the router, printer and computer. I use an Ethernet connection to the router.

    Hello

First of all ensure that protected by password sharing is disabled for your operating system, otherwise it will fail:

From the Control Panel, under network and Internet open the network and sharing Center.

Ensure that the network type is displayed as a home or work network, if it is listed as Public network click on it and select home or work.

In the left pane click on change advanced network settings and select turn off password protected sharing.

    Search for now any change.

If you have problems to right click on the Shared folder, and then select Properties.

Ensure that the folder is shared as sharing.

Click Advanced, and then click permissions and ensure that your users have all permissions to this folder.

    Hope that helps,

  • cannot scan to network folder

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 A910 connected wireless to my home network, who had been working fine for over a year.  Recenly, my router was toggled, and since that time, I can not scan to a network printer folder.  When I try to set up a network folder using the web interface, I get constantly an issue error of the test of the configuration.  I checked all the possible settings and checked that my PC should not be the problem.  I also changed the settings on my antivirus to make sure that it is what allows the connection.  FYI, I have a MFP M476dw I had the same problem with, and I was able to solve the problems with this printer by changing the settings of my antivirus.  Interstingly, I can scan to a folder, when I run the scan of my office, but not the printer itself.  Any suggestions?

    Hello cdscott,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you encounter some problems when it comes to scanning to the network folder.

You said that there is some time you traded your router.  This could be the problem and I have an idea on how to solve this problem.

On the front panel of the printer, use the right arrow key and go to the SetUp menu.  From here you will scroll up until you see network menu.  In the network menu, scroll down until you see default network. Once the restore is complete, return to the top of the network menu and run Setup wireless Wizard.

You will be asked the network password to Finns the wizard.

On the computer, run it HP Print and Scan doctor. I would like to know how to get you out and if you happen to see error codes or messages, please let me know what they are.

    Thanks for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • OfficeJet 5740: Scan to network folder

I can't scan to a network with my Officejet 5740 folder as I do with the 8620. This is a limitation of the equipment and in this case when I remove this printer those that support this feature.

    Hi @Talerian,

I studied your question on the scan to a folder in network on the Officejet 5740 - and I am sad to say that it does support these scan methods:

    • Scanning to a computer
    • Scan to a memory (7640 ENVY and Officejet 5740 and 8040 only) device
    • Scan directly to e-mail (only wireless Internet connections)

You can see how to use these document: scanning to a computer, Email or device memory

Scanning to a network folder is an advanced scan option and is only available on the top models of the end (like your 8620).

Here I had better news, depending on where you bought the device, you may be able to exchange but I don't know about you - you should check with them.

    Thank you

  • 'Scan to Network Folder' is available with envy 7640?

I am interested in replacing JO 8600 (N911) with envy 7640 iin all-in-one.

The 7640 has a similar feature that I use now with the 8600 where you can scan file to the network folder? If this is not the case, what current all-in-one models offer this?

Please let me know.  Thank you.

    Hello

This is not supported on the Envy 7640, direct scan to a shared folder is only supported on select HP Officejet and Laserjet printers.

You can check the Officejet from HP 8710 that provide these capabilities:

Scan digital files directly to email, network folders, and the cloud with preloaded business apps.

    Hello

When scanning scanning HP utility there is an option to crop the items analyzed by the borders (as in the case where you scan several photos in 1 scan and want what they are crooped to several files).

When scanning from the printer directly to the network folder mapped, I think that this culture option does not exist. Is it possible to make the printer of cultures by limits when you scan directly to the network printer folder?

    Thank you

    Hello

Such an only offered by the HP software, automatic cropping is not an option for direct digital delivery option.

Such I suggest to choose computer in the menu printer scan and digitize an image (JPG), then such a will made by HP software.

    Hello

It seems that the name of the computer doesn't really work in this scenario.

I used the IP address instead (you can find your Mac IP in the network system preferences pane) and everything worked.

In addition, you don't have to write the full local path to your shared folder, such as/Users/JAWA /...

Just write the name of the file just after the IP address.
