M6-K125DX: Bug HP Support Assistant

When I open HP Support Assistant, I've stuck to the screen "Welcome to HP Support Assistant" and could not press the next button to go further. All other options I can always press on, but it does not apply as long as I press the next button. It is as if the button is frozen and cannot be hired. As shown on this picture here: http://gyazo.com/63a10a750c5336c185ad9cd2e411a073

Is there anyway I can bypass the next button and apply my options?

Hello:

  • HP ENVY 17 j-101sa: HP Support Assistant (bug?)

Hello! I'm new to the forum so my apologies if I break all the rules inadvertently or if this is a stupid question.

My question is about the update from HP Support Assistant version 8.3.27.17, frame 12.5.26.37, 8.0.5386.1523 on a Windows Professional 10 64-bit machine configuration files.

My problem is that HP Support Assistant doesn't seem to go beyond checking messages and updates the scene when you are trying to find the latest updates (see image below).

I tried to check the updates for my machine, as well as for my home printer and both lead to the same result in the image above. In previous versions of HP Support Assistant, it didn't happen because he would gradually go through each step of the process, while replacing the current gray meet with green ticks.

I tried to uninstall HP Support Assistant, his facility with an earlier version and then update via the software through a later executable, all to nothing does not.

I know that there is a problem, because I checked my pattern software download page on the HP website and found that my machine was not on the latest version of the BIOS, because he never showed to those failures to analysis of updates (so I had to download and update my BIOS of the executable manually). However, in previous versions of HP Support Assistant, I received updates for my BIOS and other software without problem.

I hope that you will be able to confirm my software is upward, or if it is a bug related to the version that is described at the beginning of this post.

    Any answer will appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, exactly.  Uninstall Wizard support then the solution structure.  Then, installed from the Web site hp support assistant himself.

It works very well.  Again, it is after that I rolled back windows.

I would be interested to know if it would work on the update of the anniversary, but I don't want to try again.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p204: UPDATE of HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT HP BIOS update for Intel processor (F43) - SHOWING AGAIN

    Hello

I am new to the community of HP.

I'm having a problem. Well, I can't really say it is a MAJOR problem because there is no threat to the system or anything, it's just one of those little annoying things.

Yesterday, I updated my BIOS F.43 after being invited by HP support assistant. Update succeeded, charged back up the laptop, and the watch update STILL not installed on the HP support assistant. I reinstalled it and it still shows the same thing.

It's just a bug and it is really installed and the wizard of support has not been updated?

    Thank you

    Hi @GarethWilliamss,

Thanks for posting in the Forums of HP and welcome.

I read on the HP Support Assistant and prompt you to download on your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - p204. As you can imagine this is a glitch. Ignore the update.

    I hope this helps.

Please let me know if this help solve the problem by marking this post as accept as a Solution.

After the upgrade, I realize that the system got too long to stop and then I started to find what goes wrong. I tried also several other versions of decommissioning, but always got the same message. Please me advice what to do because the system does not normally behave since the bios upgrade to version f42a. Also please fix this dangerous bug for bios update to the incorrect version on the support assistant hp software.

  • DV6-7214 dead with PLAYER MSATA C after hp support assistant, new bios update. 18/05/13

I've postponed an update of the bios, because it makes me nervous. Apparently for good reason.

Today, I let the horse do the update of bios on my win8 race dv6-7214.

He said he was doing a system restore point, but that seems to have been unnecessary.

The laptop has a black screen after an hour of "reboot", so I've turned off.

Turn on the screen remains black.

No response to any prerssed keys after power, as the ESC key.

I have read several messages that need to roll back updates of bios, which does not say much for HP regarding

that it is a recurring problem.

I do NOT get a blue screen, getting not nothing at all.

Is there a way to roll back a short bios to ship to HP?

I did not write down the version of the bios, just trust it was necessary. Don't let hp support assistant to run anything else.

I guess that I will uninstall HP support assistant, if I never recover my computer to the point where it can turn on.

Can not think of a software bug as bad as loaded by hp in my bios.

Anyone? How do I reset the bios with a completely insensitive laptop?

Thank you chryig, but none that did not work.

HP support has sent the same solution.

The dv6-7214 has an msata slot, which can be configured as C drive, I did with an msata ssd.

The drive that came with the laptop was in the sata slot, as usual, but was not C drive.

I found someone announcement the same problem, no black screen, (not blue screen) no error message, just in bricks.

There is also a disc SSD C.

I tried to temporarily move the msata on slot sata (with an adapter). This allowed the bios end

    its update.

So it's not the Bios that is broken, but the software to perform the update to the bios is broken.

Update (bios) fails if drive C is anywhere but the sata slot (or perhaps the c drive should be drive 0).

I hope that HP will fix this problem. A lot of laptops HP is sold 'improved' with an extra via disk

value added reseller. Since there are only 2 slots under that drive C may be in, sata and 1 msata

should be possible to update the bios software to manage this small number of possibilities.

  • HP Support Assistant send me inaccurate information

Hello, I own a dv6-7135nr Pavilion Entertainment PC, running Windows 7. I noticed a lot of exclamation points! hovering over my question mark of HP Support Assistant. I'll go and since I can't copy and paste, I have to type all this here.

One is for updates, but I see he did a final check of updates on 16-06-14 and following a planned for the 23/06/14 and no updates available. So why this ad would come to me? I am writing on 16-06-14.

At this point, I don't see that the other message but had to do with my data backup because I am running low on the data space. Nope. I went to my computer and my C drive is visible: 615 676 GB free GB. He asked me to do all sorts of things that seem useless but just dream to run these message by you all and ask you if I should just ignore some of these messages and let these just exclamation points stay there?

Why do you think that the HP Support Assistant receives wrong information on my computer?  Should I just turn it off?  What are your thoughts?

HP Envy m7 running Windows 10.

    linsjean wrote:

Hi, I'm the original poster.  Now, all the exclamation points are gone, maybe because I simply open the messages?  You still think it is necessary to do a uninstall/reinstall?

Avast is really annoying because it tells me that I have 8 grimes of the ILO that slows down my PC. But I can't afford a paid AV  Sometimes these days that I'm afraid to click on anything that either I heard across many people that hackers can get into my system, including software from BC What is a person to do?

    Hi linsjean

Sorry for the support of your thread.

Are you do an uninstall and then re - install the updated HPSA since your site downloads of product & driver. Do the things that I mentioned. Turn it back on. Automatically search for updates via HPSA. Its always advisable to manually search for HPSA last updated through your product only page, this eliminates bugs in the application. I don't like it on the advice of HP.

On AV, its you who is the link between your system & pirates, viruses, spyware, malware, adware etc. even if you have the best AV in your system. So be vigil by going online. In any case the best AV as of now, I think that is Kaspersky and Bitdefender. In free Edition, Panda Security is good. Take a look at this test of endurance of AV link.

I'm becoming exasperated by the regular failures reported during the monthly HP Support Assistant Tune up or analyses of health on my HP Pavilion Slimline desktop computer.     The display disappears usually before I do a screen grab.     But today, I got the following:

So why the analysis of health is failing?      I don't know if all relevant diagnostic report is placed on my computer.     If they are produced, so I don't know where to find them.

Or do I have a version of corrupt/out-of-day of the Support Assistant software?

Or y at - it an explanation?

I would be grateful for any light.     Thank you.

    Brian, welcome to the forum.

I can't give you a good explanation for the problems you are having.  It is probably a bug in the software.  I had very similar problems when using Windows Update.  Do not install the updates without apparent reason.

Here is the Official Site for HPSA.  I have suggrest by downloading and installing the latest version.  You must uninstall the current version before you start.  I'd be happy to hear the result.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • iPad, Safari froze and was told that I had to call apple for support assistance.

My iPad Safari froze and was told that I had to call apple for support assistance.  I called and gave the last four digits of my serial number of the iPad.  They wanted me to download app and pay money, but it felt weird, so I hung up. Am I or my systems compromised in any way by calling and giving the serial number or hang up in time that nothing should be affected?

    Do this...

Tap Settings > Safari and then slide down and tap clear history & data website, then reboot your iPad.

The number they gave you is not Apple.

Never give any personal data abroad on the net, including serial numbers.

  • HP laptop - 15-ay011nr: HP Support Assistant suggests an incompatible update to my system

    Hello

HP Support Assistant suggested three updates for my system.

When you try to download the wizard, all of the facilities have not (a phenomenon that has been described by some other posters in this forum).

So, I looked for each three updates directly in the HP site, after finding my computer and the operating system (HP for computer laptop 15-ay011nr, 10 64-bit Windows).

I have found two of the updates, but not the third, called: "Intel WLAN for Micorsoft Windows", with Softpaq number SP76133, version 18.40.0.9Pp2, if it is relevant.

When I reviewed this softpaq number in the site, I have found, but saw that it's only for windows 7 and 8.

Why the HP support assistant that suggest an update for my system win 10?

Am I supposed to download it?

If not, is there a way to stop the support Wizard to think that I should install it?

    Hello

    Try the following

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

After installation, restart the computer again.

The steps I've tried: uninstallation with Revouninstaller, resettlement, reset

    @troubleshoot411, welcome to the forum.

I agree with using Revo.  This is my go to app for malware.  When you used Revo, you use the advanced option?  This will not only remove the program from the HARD disk, but it removes remnants of the BIOS.  If this is not the case, this could be the problem.  I suggest to try the advanced option to remove HPSA and shut down the computer.  Then, start and reinstall HPSA here.
