M651: Cannot download the HP printing software

So for the last few months we have had serious problems trying to download the HP software and drivers from the HP support center. We have been able to the squeek by using older drivers and manually configure printers via web interfaces.

However, today, we have an essential asset, which is getting an error, and apparently the patch will update the firmware of the printer (I'm talking about 99.09.67 error).

So we have an asset that is down and we are unable to download the firmware from the HP website, located HERE.

If there is any work around this very frustrating issue and nature, please let me know.

If one of these fails, with that I suggest trying another browser or a download manager, if even he still can help by communicating your guys TI and check if there could be no matter what local issue preventing your access to the site as the site of HP do not work as expected...

    When I double-click the icon of the HP software on my desktop behavior strange results. Nothing opens and my computer behaves erratically. After a while I get the following error messages:

    Then after that - my computer restarts so all by himself. But not a complete reboot - it just goes back to the initial logon screen and I get my password from Windows and displays the desktop.

    I am running Windows Pro 8.1 (64-bit). The printer is set to work wireless.

    After doubleclicking on the HP software icon and wait for the software to open, as I mentioned above, one thing I tried was a ctrl-alt-del and open Task Manager. I checked the services running, and there were multiple instances of a service life of HP (I not only remember the name but there seems to be dozens of the same HP service running).

    I also completely uninstalled all HP software use Revo Uninstaller and then reinstalled the software / driver for the OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910a - but this package did not make a difference; exactly the same problem occurred again.

    It happened only in recent days. Before that, I could double-click the HP software icon and open normally and I was able to check the settings, ink levels, etc. Interestingly, the printer seems to always work well - I can print in Word, print photos from Lightroom, etc. Just, I can't open my desktop HP printing software.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I guess you can start to feel frustrated. I did some additional research and would like to try a few things. I want to delete the printer Assistant icon, open devices and printers, right-click on your printer and choose open. In the window that opens, please right-click on the Printer Wizard and click on create a shortcut. Now we can go to the desktop and see if it will be open from there. The icon will now by HP in a blue circle and say HP Printer Wizard below (see image below).  If it opens and works, we use this going forward, but if it does not continue with the steps below.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key ( ) on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Unplug the USB cable (if connected), open programs and features, click Editor (all HP software will be together now) and uninstall all software associated with the printer. You fill find the basic driver, study for improvement of the product, HP Officejet 8500 help. Be sure to do not uninstall other HP software, especially if your computer is a HP computer. I generally use the date as a reference. Printing software would have all been installed on the same date.
    4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    5. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

    Have you tried refreshing the page printers and devices to see if the icon shows up?

    In addition, restart the PC. Then go back to the devices and printer and look for the printer icon.

    If this does not work, try the following steps:

    1. First stop the print spooler. If you try to copy or delete all the items in this folder, the print spooler is started, you will get an error indicating that the items are in use.
    2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS. Usually, when you get to the PRINTERS folder, you will get a pop-up message indicating that you need administrator permission to enter the folder, and you need to do is to support to continue.
    3. There will be two elements in the file for each item in the print queue.
    4. If you copy the print queue, Ctrl + A to select everything in the folder, copy all the elements. Create another folder on the desktop and paste the items in this folder. (If you want to manually remove the job queue instead, you can simply remove the items at this time here.)
    5. Start the print spooler upward.

    It is a very common problem. To fix this, first try to start your Mac in safe mode by following these steps-> safe mode try if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

    Then, restart your Mac as usual and try to download the Windows support software again.

    I removed most of the HP entries to my printer from the Start Up. Since then I have not been able to get the Printer Wizard to start.     I found the solution to my problem. Before I could install the software and drivers for my printer that I had to remove completely all the software and the printer driver.     I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does.     Go back to the original download page using Internet Explorer 32-bit and click on the button continue. DO NOT enter sidetrcked in the areas of validation GenuineCheck or Alternative.

    MS broke the validation for all other browsers currently. Finally, they CAN bypass ro something on this subject.

    Again Deskjet 4625 connected to my LT on windows 8. Wireless connection is OK and it works.  Scanning HP doctor ran and he see the printer on a machine from W7 desk top but still won't load the drivers. Printer shows offline, but I can see it on the ASUS router. Light is lit in blue on the printer.

    Followed your advice, but the result was "software installed in vain."

    The Wifi is connected. It works fine on my laptop Win8 where all of the HP software installed OK.

    I also have had to print via Windows 7 via the Wifi but cannot install the W7 HP software and therefore no Scanner.

    I tried turning Norton. I tried a start-up in minimal mode, but without success. I have tried many other options of threads, but without success. Clearly the HP software does not like W7!

    Have computer HP Windows 8.  I am able to print, but I would like to have all the functions of the solution center without having to log on to my XP computer that I access.  I tried several times to download the Solution Center software.  Everything seems to go well until the end when I get a message 'Download has been cancelled', n explanation.  This happens after all 246MB are downloaded and is very frustrating.

    'Download cancelled' usually is due to settings on your computer, could be antivirus software, disk space limitations, etc. So 1. Make sure you have a lot of space, 2 disc. make a backup because instead of clicking the download button (that way, if Save as worked, the package is downloaded, on your local hard drive) and 3. Double-click the downloaded file to install. If save as fails, windows should give you an error message, then go you from there.
