I have a multimedia keyboard 1.1 microsoft wireless on my desktop using Vista Home premium, and the keys are all coming up badly, when I type 'k' for example I get 'a' or if I type 'p' I get 'v' and give me space '9' someone can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Hi Winchesterdream,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.

I suggest you try the following steps

Step 1: Connect the keyboard to a different computer. If the keyboard works correctly on another computer, the port to which the keyboard was connected on the original computer may be damaged. If this is the case, contact your computer manufacturer to find out how to repair or replace the damaged port.

Step 2: Download and install the latest keyboard software

To download the latest drivers for the keyboard that you use, see the following Microsoft hardware Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK

Step 3: Press the SHIFT key to turn five times keys Stick On or Off and check if the problem persists.

Let me know if it works. Good luck!

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

I use Vista Home Premium on a laptop Dell 1545 Inspiron and Dell 968AIO wireless printer. I can't print the attachments of email but I can print several pages on the internet. I updated drivers and tried everything that other people have told me to try on other forums to the best of my abilities. I'm not otherwise qualified in computer science. Also, I will mention this all started when I restored my computer laptop back to factory settings. I did it because that's all I could think about. As far as coming back on my laptop, he did do the trick. Thus, suggestions, thoughts will be appreciated.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Re use Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc

    Hello

I bought and Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc and upgraded to Windows XP.  Unfortunately my PC has not enough graphics to run Aero and DVD Maker (915 chipset), and I had tried unsuccessfully to introduce a new videocard (power problem).  So I gave up with this PC and will probably go back to XP or get a copy of Vista Home Basic which will be OK on this PC.

I did the clean installation thing with the upgrade disk if my old XP system is not affected and can be restored without problem.

    My question is:

If I buy a latest PC who has the necessary graphics to run the Home Premium edition, can I re reuse the upgrade disc, or the activation process will fail because of "improved" after having already.

    Thanks for your help

    Evereti

    Hi Evereti,

You can try installing upgrade of Windows Vista on another PC as if you removed completely from Windows Vista to Windows XP PC. You will not be able to use the same copy on two different computers at the same time. It will affect the Product Activation.

  • Screen of C850 - 1 H 8 satellite flashes and turns off using SSD and win 8

Hello, I bought a C850 - 1 H 8 of Ebuyer and I removed the hard drive installed windows 8 on it and installed my SSD, and then a clean installed Windows 7.

The laptop was working perfectly, and then after a little more than a month, the headphone jack has become defective intermittently. I contacted Toshiba, they picked up the computer laptop, fixed and returned.

When the returned laptop, I still pulled the hard drive provided with Windows 8 and replaced by my SSD with Windows 7 top.

The laptop screen started flashing on and outside. So I thought ok, they must have changed the material. Using the SSD even I formatted it and then reinstalled Windows 7.

I find that contrary to front - that my laptop according to the system information for Windows - is manufactured by LG and not Toshiba.
I also find that the desktop screen and startup splash turned into a screen LG and not an a Toshiba.

I contacted Toshiba and they gave me, told me to ask for a replacement from Ebuyer. I was passed between the two companies constantly. Then I took the hard line with Toshiba and said that they have damaged my computer and I want a replacement or I will not buy another Toshiba product.

I then return a petulant response from Toshiba, actually insinuating that aside from the faulty earphone Jack, it was my fault. Incredible.

I had not used my new laptop at all really after all of this, because I'm sick of all this. But today I started to use it again, and after some time of use, the screen flashes again. Even after using a new installation of Windows 7 and the clean use of Toshiba Windows 7 64 bit drivers for the right model.

    What can I do?

    See you soon

+ The message was edited summer - subject wire +.

    > When the laptop returned, I still pulled out the hard disk provided with Windows 8 and replaced by my SSD with Windows 7 top.

It was not good because headphones is part of the motherboard and I think they replaced the motherboard. In such cases, the bulk of the material is changed and do not use the same system pre-installed due to the compatibility of the driver. This can lead to physical problems.

But the screen flashes at the beginning with 8 win preinstalled?
Have you seen the LG sign turn on/off the unit after replacing the mobo?

Maybe service guy (ASP authorized service provider isn't Toshiba but independent company) I forgot to update the DMI and therefore LG sign appears on the screen.
But in my opinion this should not affect the screen but this should be verified using Toshiba original image (Windows 8)
