  Since yesterday, I have my NB again at home and so far, I'm happy with it!

  It has a processor M760, with 2 GHz, 100 GB HDD, FSB 533 and such - but it is slower than my old Tecra 8000 with PII and 366 MHz with only 8 GB of HARD drive.
  Y at - it a tip or something I should fix, or is it quite normal when there is now software for nearly 10 GB (nothing special, just the software more pre-installed desktop, antivirus and internet, no games) on this subject?

  I would be interested to know if slow is during the initial loading of the operating system or if it appears when you actually use the system.

  Put my new WRT1900ACS in the exact same task that my router Linksys EA one came, 5 feet away Samsung Galaxy S6 is showing 866Mbps,-34 dBm, the signal strength, channel 153.

I'm kinda not clear about the exact nature of the slowness you describe (what specific aspects are slow, what is compatible or intermittent, etc.), but if it's pretty repetitive, you can try to stop all currently open applications, restart your iPad, then test for the slow pace.   In my opinion, it's a beautiful machine. Maybe not enough RAM (256 MB), but enough for WXP works correctly. Another feature of this machine is shared video memory and you can't wait until you have a powerful graphics card and play games of new generation with a lot of graphic details.

  Did you also install software which can be one of the reasons that laptop running slowly?
  My suggestion is that you can buy more RAM (e.g. 256 MB Memory Expansion) at http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com. In addition, disable all Applications and processes that you don't need. Many of them running in the background and do NB slow.

  If you find the best solution to make your NB faster let me know. I will be grateful for useful information.

• Satellite L455D - How can I disable touchpad & WiFi slow

  I just got this new laptop and I really NEED to disable the touchpad. It drives me crazy jumping everywhere when I type.

  I tried Fn + F9 and it does not work. I looked in the control panel and I can uninstall the drivers, but can't turn it off. I like to use a mouse ball roll except when I'm traveling, so I don't want to uninstall the drivers. Is there a simple way to turn it off?

  In addition, it seems to be EXTREMELY slow to access the internet with a Wi - Fi connection. Nothing is different with my internet connection or service except that cell phone provider is probably ten times slower than my old laptop.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I think a lot of tools pre-installed and utilities would be executed and has begun while the laptop starts Windows system, you should know that these processes that run in the background OS can affect and slow down the system.

  I bought a new laptop because my old Inspiron 1501 has problems. The battery is dead, the R button does not work, the hard drive is 40 GB and the RAM maxed out at 2 GB. A Windows Vista.

The new computers are Intel (Core i7) clocked at 2.66 GHz with 2 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz ram, while old computers are Dell Dimension 9150 Pentium D 2.8 GHz processors with 1 GB 667 MHz ram. Two computers use a PCI-6711, 6052 for acquisition of data and National Instruments. The decrease in speed is particularly evident during the acquisition of data (for both saved and unsaved data). Any ideas why our newest computer to run a slower program?

  Hi Harp17. You can always change the settings of your EA4500 manually wireless. Access the right page the 192.168.1.1 and once you are on the page SmartWifi, click Wireless on the left side of the page. Click "Edit" under the 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz, regardless of the band you want to edit on. You can also try to change the name of the wireless network and wireless to see how it goes.

  I compacted and emptied the cache, reduced the number of images in each folder and reduced the size of the preview, but nothing seems to make any difference. I forgot something or are my expectations too high? The bridge is my main tool with Camera RAW/Photoshop before importing all the files in Lightroom and speed reduction is initially serious workflow problems.

  Under the hood, here's what happened:

  Late in development after effects CC 2014 (13.0), a change was introduced to how After Effects and Premiere Pro to cache data frame when the decoding of .r3d files. This change caused bugs in After Effects only, because of the requests of the frame in a slightly different way than Premiere Pro.

  The fault was not apparent when we inspected the code, and he made several unexpected failures.

  The first problem, .r3d files had low resolution, caused when After Effects generated a thumbnail of the file to the project Panel. The miniature request is for a very small image, about 320 x 180 pixels, and the small image dimensions have been incorrectly be reused when After Effects requested the full large images for composition. (Workarounds I had suggested earlier, to open the dialog box settings of RED or purge the cache, worked because they cause frame requests be reset).

  This bug has been fixed in after effects CC 20141 (13.1). After Effects now correctly Initializes the dimensions in the frame cache requests.

  The second problem was that for some but not all .r3d files, any request for less than 1/8 resolution frame would result in After Effects to stall (beach ball) for 15 seconds. This included when the file is imported and the thumbnail has been generated, or if the resolution composition control was set at less than 1/8, or, if the Adaptive resolution has been activated and allowed to table the resolution less than 1/8.

  Not all .r3d files encountered this problem. The affected files have been of the newest cameras and sensors, including the RED Epic camera and the detector of Dragon. Files of the older cameras like the RED One, did not have this problem.

  This problem was caused by an incompatibility of the proportions of the framework cache when requests for image low resolution. During the generation of the frame cache, the proportions of the image is calculated, but the proportions of the image low resolution that result may not match the aspect ratio of the original frame. This calculation is indeed correct; bypassing the new dimensions of the whole pixels, the proportions frame moves less than 1%. In problematic cases, this caused lag After Effects to assume that cache framework did not provide the backstory, and he could wait 15 seconds (a preset timeout clock) for a better match, what has not happened, and then it should be the frame anyway.

  This bug has been fixed in After Effects CC 2014.1.1 (13.1.1). Now, After Effects ignores the small variances expected in the proportions between the original frame and the image cache low resolution.
