Mac does not open web link PDF

Hello

I try to open my stub. When I click on the link "View Paycheck" that says in PDF format, nothing happens. A little spinny thing appears on the right, as if something will open up, but then nothing happens.

Can someone help please!

I saw a previous post which had the same title which has been resolved, but these instructions did not work for me.

Is this a legitimate site?

If you do a right click on it you have a choice to download it & view in preview?

I use Dreamweaver CS5 on the latest Mac OS - suddenly when I try to run I see "Dreamweaver" in the upper left corner and that's it. It does not open or display the usual menu choices.

I advise you to try the 3 steps mentioned below one by one (restart is recommended after each step):

1 fix the disc using DiskUti permissions in the utility. Link below explains how to use it.

2 uninstalling and reinstalling Dreamweaver CS5.

  • Firefox does not open a link after the first; Open ok in new tab front.

In the last week or two, for reasons not clear to me, Firefox does not open the new links after the first; It is used to open a new connection in new tabs (according to my preference) without problems in the past. Now it does not blink again.

Over time, I've added new applications and others removed, and, of course, I can't exclude from their role in the problem that I have now. I would appreciate some help to solve this problem.

www.Weather.com has not sent any data.

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

So, the Web site of cnn, another example, looks like this:

If it does not either, you could drag Firefox out of the Applications folder and in the trash, then download a new copy of mozilla.org/firefox/new and reinstall.

  • Occasionally Safari for Mac does not load web pages; Firefox is loading of web pages. The possible reasons?

I started having this problem around mid-2016. In short, if I use Safari to surf the internet, after about 5-10 minutes, Safari would not completely load the page not load completely. If I turn off my wifi then return (on the macbook), the page will load temporarily. On the other hand, Firefox does not have this problem and loads web pages normally. Possible reasons or solutions?

I do not think that the problem comes from my internet connection or your router because my iPhone Safari normally connects under the same network.

I use a Macbook Air, OSX V. 10.11.3 (El Capitan)

Go step by step by step and test.

    1. turn off the power to the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

Plug it in, back to the wall. Turn on the router. Wait for all lights are light up properly. It will take a while.

    Restart the computer.

  • 5.7.1 mac does not open files arw A7II

I am a professional photographer and have used LR since it was released. I borrowed a Sony A7II and took a few shots, I could compare the images on my Mac. I have installed 5.7.1 but it still does not recognize the arw files. Displays only JPEG files. Any advice? Thank you.

Do you need Lightroom 6.1.1 or Lightroom CC 2015.1.1

Alternatively, you can download the free Adobe DNG Converter, convert your RAW to DNG, and then import the DNG in Lightroom 5.7.1

  • HTML full report links check accessibility of does not open the corresponding PDF links

I regularly generate complete reports of the accessibility check to the PDF user guides that create in MS Word. However, when I click on the links in the file/HTML report generated, they are supposed to link/highlight corresponding errors in the PDf file. Instead, I get an error message that 'there was an error opening this document. Bad parameters. »

How can I get the links to work so I know what section in my PDF error (inaccessible items).

    Thank you

I understand that you create HTML reports and then use them to find errors/display PDF files.

Is this a new problem or have you always had problems with the links?  If this is a new problem, what has changed on your system?

Can you see other PDF documents in your browser?

Have you moved your files since you created the report - as you know the references of the HTML report to a specific location on your hard drive and if you moved the PDF file after creating the report, it is perhaps not able to find the file.

  • Captivate 7 Mac does not open

After you have reinstalled 7 Captivate for mac, it won't start. Did not work in Captivate since April. Since then, crashed my mac and a newer version of Mac OS x (10.9.4 mavericks) has been installed. My first attempt to launch Cap7 was today and it won't start.  Of known issues with a more recent Mac OS plays well with Cap7?

  • On the mac does not... and Brother printer does not print

I think this goes back to my installation of El Capitan, but I'm not entirely sure. I do not use my iMac very strongly, as it was purchased as a family computer to replace one another iMac which was about 8-10 years of age and just couldn't keep up with software updates more. It lies in our dining room and gets probably one or two times a day in the evening to access the web and do basic home computing tasks.

In any case, I have two problems that have become worrying and annoying. 1. "about this Mac" does not open. Nothing happens when I try to select it. (Choose "System Profiler" utility does not work also, but it gives an error message that says: it can not be opened). 2. My Brother HL-2280DW printer do not print, but this interferes with a message "Filter failed" when I try to print anything.

Any thoughts on the resolution of these issues? I have read several posts here from people with similar problems, but nothing I've done has solved a problem. I have reset the time system 2 or 3 printing AND updated my database of website of Brother printer drivers, but I still get that filter has no message.

A little more details on my system - there are three users currently put in place. My husband has two user accounts (both with permissions 'standard') which should really be combined somehow, but I took no steps to do yet because I want to get these other issues ironed out. My user account is the admin account. I mention this because I tried to access "about this Mac" and printing of all user profiles three and no thing works in one of the profiles. Regarding the statistics of the system, it is a 21.5-inch iMac bought in April 2015 with the following configuration:

2.7GHz Quad - core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X8GB
    1 TB drive merger
    Intel Pro Iris graphics card

I use a WD My Passport Ultra drive for backup with Time Machine, but it is not currently connected. I have a backup successful yesterday then I would be willing to work on any change of system that might be needed to solve these problems. I really don't want to have to reinstall the operating system, but I will if it is necessary. Thanks in advance for the help with this!

Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

HD recovery start: restart the computer after the ring, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears.

Repair the hard drive and permissions: at startup, select in the main menu disk utility. Repair hard disk and permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. Disk utility charges and select Macintosh HD entry indented from the list on the left.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the main menu.

Reinstall OS X: Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than Wi - Fi and more reliable.

  • iMovie does not open Costco DVD VHS movies converted

iMovie for Mac does not open Costco DVD converts VHS movies at home. I don't know that I was able to do what a few years with an older version of iMovie. There is a limitation with iMovie? DVD of Costco is just a bunch of old family VHS home movies.

iMovie, current or previous version, is not about DVD, which is a way for the end user.   iDVD is the application designed to work with the DVD, and there are several other design programs that do the same.  However, you can play your DVD on your computer or on a DVD player.

To get your DVD movies to work with iMovie, you can open the content of the packaging of the DVD to reveal the VOB (video object) files and convert them to a format compatible with iMovie, such as MP4.  In recent years, I did, but I think that you insert the DVD into the disc drive of your computer and then right click on the DVD icon that appears on your desktop to reveal the VOB files you can drag - copy on your desktop.  There are conversion programs videacute, like the free download Handbrake, which can then convert VOB files.    Someone who has done more recently can weigh in here with more information.
