Mac Mail app problem
Recently, I bought my first Apple computer. Instantly, I wanted to add my Gmail and Hotmail e-mails to the e-mail account, as I have on my iPhone. The problem is that my Hotmail email is my Apple ID, when I try to add the Hotmail account in the mail application I get a tat to say notification that the e-mail account already exists. When I enable messaging in iCloud parameters I keep on getting notification that he could not my mail and I should change my settings/iCloud mail preferences. Any help?
I contacted Apple support, and we have found a solution to this problem. We had to disable the e-mail in iCloud and add account screen e-mail account hotmail but scroll down and select 'Add account' - the logo with the sign @. hope this helps someone who has this problem.
This happened to me before and is a random problem. The last two days, I tried to send an email using the mail application. My email is yahoo.com. I get a message saying that there is a problem sending messages at the present time, check with your provider for more information. Seems very random when it happens. If I go to my mail via the site Web IE and yahoo then I can pass without any problems, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with my mail provider, but more to do with the Surface mail app. Any ideas on that?

I got the mail app works with 3 email accounts: Hotmail (I guess that obvious), GMAIL and my ISP account (POP3 through Outlook.Com). This worked well for a few days, but crashed yesterday.
I got an 'X' in the lower right of the slab of the app and it made me go to the "store" to fix the app. After a while she completed her repairs and I restarted the computer ("when in doubt - reboot").
Now the ISP account disappeared and I get the message that the login or password is invalid. I installed a new copy of El captain on a new hard drive and any of the mailboxes from my old hard drive. I didn't do a transfer system, because there are a lot of useless and old settings there.

I had ZERO problems with Mail and my Hotmail e-mail address for years until Sunday evening. I thought that maybe the Hotmail servers are down and cannot send e-mail that he requested my password, but it says that it was not correct. (but it was) Today I open mail and get the same message and my iPhone was not able to receive mail. After deleting and adding the Hotmail account on my iPhone, it works and receiving mail. After digging around some more to the forums I found my resolution. I had to remove my iCloud account (which uses my hotmail email address) then add my Hotmail email, then add my iCloud account again.
Unable to follow the message (with or without attachments) in mac mail... sometimes restarting the computer solves the problem, but not always and the new problem occurs a few hours after the reboot if in fact, rebooting fixes problem.
The office is a Mac from early 2009 with 8 G of ram and only 30% use hard disk

My account managers have personal emails (IE [email protected] & [email protected]) and they also have an email that they all use two ([email protected]) which is set up on both of their computers for if someone is sick, they know what the other is working on.
The problem is that when one of them reads an email on the "[email protected] email, mark it as read on the enamel of the other person too.» Is there some way to do so a new message arrives and he scored only as read email when each person reads it?

I don't think so. Google apps uses IMAP or ActiveSync, which are intended to reflect all changes across the mailbox is used. Looks like you're after more than one distribution from the list which will copy the email in each personal users box, as a list of all the staff, but as you have several accounts, which could become confusing.
It might be worth looking at login via POP - if Google allows. POP basically just download all will send them on the sync server and custom changes (providing check you what are the options in the account settings). It is not guaranteed that POP is not generally pushed, so will check every 5 min or so - and if someone read and email deleted at this time, it will not download a copy.
Alternative would be to set up rules that transmits an entrant copy each users mailbox and that filter in a subfolder, but this all duplicate and the habit of thinking whats been answered or deleted in the source mailbox.

I tried running Mac Mail a couple of times and it stopped on me. Then the third time it closes that I received an error message that a plugin has caused the problem. The path of the Plugin is listed as /Users/USER/Library/Mail/*/HockeySDK.framework/Versions/A/HockeySDK and the Plugin identifier is net.hockeyapp.sdk.mac.
I searched using terminal, finder and the console for a user named 'USER' on my mac account. I see users root are my user name.
I understand that it is possible to hide a user account, but have you tried the commands that should display all hidden user accounts and they have not revealed a user named USER account. To be clear, I have tried all the standard ways in the terminal to find a user account and cannot.

I have been using the medium fonts widely mail in Apple Mail but recently seen a problem where I can not select medium by mail. On trying to select medium-sized fonts, it will automatically switch to regular.
Question can be specifically Helvetica Neue - medium.
- Font book is restored to the Standard fonts / posted / solved duplicates without any problem
- Neue Helvetica - medium works well with all other Apple Applications
- Tried to copy the text in average Pages Mail app but same police that does not work. Middle turns into Regular

I just upgraded to a new computer with 10.8.5 installed (that's as far as going to 10.8).

I have this problem: Mac Mini end of 2012, El Capitan 10.11.4, Mail with POP3 and IMAP accounts 9.3 app mixed, Classic view (mailboxes on the left, the list of the top right of the mail messages, the body of the message below on the right).
