Fellows

My mac mini does not respond to the PING or not incoming connections others if I m using a Wi - Fi connection. However, it works like a charm if I use ethernet.

  • Mac-mini - Denon AVR-1910 - Samsung HDTV HDMI

    Hello

I have mi Mac mini connected via HDMI for the Denon AVR 1910 port. My HDTV (Samsung le37b530p7w) is also connected to the HDMI.

The very annoying problem I have is that images and sounds "flicker" (go offshore and on) constantly.

When that happens, I see HDMI, PCM, DTS indicator on the Denon going on and off like the Mac Mini and the Denon were synchronization/handshake. The TV picture go on and outside, and it shows as "searching for signal".

I tried to connect the mac mini directly to HDTV, the flickering thing has not happened.

I can't find my TV box or drive DVD/BR.

I tried all the HDMI ports on the TV and the Denon AVR. It always happens and occurs only when the mac mini shows something.

However, when I listen to music on the mac mini, but the TV is turned off (no picture on the TV, but the sound goes through the Denon AVR), flickering does not occur.

I've read similar questions on the forum, but no real solution.

    Any help?

    Details of the material:

Mac mini: end 2012, OSX El Capitan 10.11.4

    DENON AVR 1910

    Samsung HDTV le37b530p7w

unless denon has a update of firmware for their APR I would say that the best bet would be to connect the mac to the tv and connect the TV to the denon

  • install Windows 8 on a Mac mini

    Hi all

To avoid installation of Windows 8 on my iMac, I intend to use a Mac mini accessed via Firewire in the 'big Mac '.

What are the problems, if any, or things against this operation mods?

    Nice day

    GeTe

You want to run Windows Setup on the Mini via a Firewire connection to the iMac? If so, it will not work. There are far too many complications to enable this. It may be better to use Microsoft Remote Desktop to access the Mini as a remote Windows computer.

  • 32 envy: no sound on HP Envy 32 via mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable on Mac mini

I recently bought a HP Envy 32 monitor and hooked it up to my Mac mini using a mini DisplayPort (i.e. Thunderbolt) DisplayPort cable. The video works fine @ 2560 x 1440, but I have no sound. The output sound in references to system preferences "the selected device has no output settings" for the 32 envy. The sound works fine when I use a HDMI cable, but then, the resolution is limited to 1080 p. The Mac mini is a mid 2011 model, which is able to transfer the audio via DisplayPort, SAA as far as I know. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?

Figured out how to get mini-displayport audio to work with the HP Monitor (I have a Macbook Air)

In addition to choosing the HP monitor HP ENVY 32 audio in the PREFERENCES SYSTEM-> SOUND->-> OUTPUT

An adjustment should also be made to the AUDIO and MIDI CONFIGURATION.  You can either do a search for it in the finder, or it is in APPLICATIONS-> UTILITIES-> setting up Audio and MIDI

    1. Open the app
    2. In the left menu, select DisplayPort
    3. Format of... Replace with 48000,0 Hz 2-channel 24-bit wide

Once changed, you should be playing audio from your monitor.

    Good luck.

  • Presenter PowerPoint on Mac mini mode displayed on the screen and the projector when using HDMI splitter

We have a Mac mini connected to a screen and a projector via HDMI using a HDMI splitter.

It works fine for most applications, but during presentations PowerPoint, presenter is displayed on the monitor and the projector.

When I disconnected the mini Mac's HDMI cable and put it in a MacBook, the presenter appeared on the MacBook screen (as it should) and only the slide appears on the screen and on the projection screen.

Of course if we have to use the MacBook for presentations instead of the Mac mini, you would need to have seen the presenter on both the screen and on the screen of the MacBook.

In the Mac mini display preferences there is no button to "Gather Windows" when the Mac mini is attached to the screen and the projector via HDMI splitter is a tab "setting."

But these two things appear on the MacBook when it is connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Mike

I'm confused. When you use a video separator the same screen will appear on the two monitors connected to the separator. This is how works a separator

  • Mac mini (late 2012) flashing - question mark folder recovery does not work

    Hi all

earlier today, I upgraded my Mac mini (end 2012) to the latest version of macOS Sierra.

After 1 hour of use, I realized that many of my plugins FCPX were not working.

I contacted the developers, and they said does not update the plugins and they told me to go back to El Capitan.

I decided to listen to them and try to downgrade my OS.

I restarted the Mac and held down Cmd - R or something like that that took me to the disk utility screen.

Then I went down to dinner, and when I returned 30 minutes later my Mac had entered the sleep mode for some reason any.

I woke up the Mac and 40 seconds later the power went out for 5-10 minutes.

After the blackout, I restarted my Mac that took me to a black screen with a flashing question mark folder.

I followed some tutorials online (including how to enter get - and the recovery of internet mode), but after a while even restoration of the internet shows me the flashing question mark folder.

I don't know what to do.

And no - unfortunately I don't have a Time Machine backup.

But I have a backup with all my most important files.

Is it possible to force the Mac to reset itself or something like that?

    Help, please.

    Best regards

    Filip

  • make a call on a Mac Mini with an iPhone.

I have a Mac Mini connected to an HDTV via HDMI.  I have the sound value of output for HDTV.  Everything works until I make or receive a call from my iPhone to my Mac Mini.  Even with the release of his affecting HDTV sound when the call is coming through the internal speakers of the Mac Mini.  Why is this?  If I hooked computer external speaker would that help, or all the sounds go to the speakers and not the TV speakers.  I would like the phone call to go through HDMI on TV and hear phone call from TV, like all the rest.  I went into settings and set the audio output on the HDTV that is connect via HDMI, but just the noise from phone call will the internal speaker on the Mac Mini.  Any thoughts?

In FaceTime > video what output is selected?

  • Change the hard disk of 1.4 Ghz Mac Mini end of 2014

Good morning Apple community, so here's the problem: I had a voltage breakdown because via the USB port of an EPSON LX - 300 printer, at present when the USB and the Mac Mini contact, ventilation Mac shutoff valve and after a few tries to do turn it finally do. But I see that a gray folder appears with an exclamation mark, then, with my other mac I download OS X El Capitan and do a Booteable USB, after that I enter the utilities disk and found that the "Macintosh HD" was not there and 2 USB 3.0 also didn't work. I picked up at a technical Service allow in my city and have told me that the HARD drive is broken and must be replaced, they say it could be replace by an of a 7200 rpm or 5400 RPM HARD drive RPM HARD drive, also says that couldn't put an SSD. I start research and found it is possible to put an SSD without problem. So my question is that's for sure, so I trust that an SSD will work with flawessly, and that I will also get a big performance improvement.

    My Mac is:

Mac Mini end of 2014 1.4 Ghz 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD 5000 and a 500 GB drive HARD 5400 RPM death.

So, my best regards to the community and hope for a response.

I've been running my 2014 MM off an external SSD with USB 3.0 since the beginning of this year, after a bunch of trial and error; That's what I have:

Unfortunately, I don't have much advice to give you else make sure you have a proper forum for IT. From my experience, the bad speaker will make the difference in whether or not the Mac recognizes the SSD on initialize toward the top.

    Good luck!

  • A Mac Mini laptop - link the keyboard and Trackpad?

I get a laptop, but also want the option of using a Mac Mini with it. It has an HDMI port, so I think I could plug it into the Mac Mini, but the keyboard and the Trackpad would also connect?

What yo mean by 'I get a laptop but also want the option of using a Mac Mini with it. It has an HDMI port, so I think that I could plug into the Mini Mac'.

You cannot connect two computers via their HDMI output ports.

A laptop Mac does not support the display of the target mode

Use your iMac as a display with the target - Apple Support Display Mode

You can use screen sharing via a network of control/use a Mac by another Mac.

  • Mac Mini to connect to MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro at the beginning and I would like to use it to burn a DVD on my Mac Mini.

How I'd plug it in for best results?

Remote Disc/disc sharing does not work for burning

Use the CD or DVD drive from another computer with your Mac - Apple Support

Googling is not conclusive if you can burn by connecting the two via FireWire, Mc on optical disc in target disk mode and the other starts normally and then burn using the drive Mode target to the Mac thanks to the optical drive.
