• Why Mac Pro is slow at the opening of the apps?

  Compare to the other mac, my mac pro is so slow at the opening of the apps and any other use. Memory is 4 GB and still half store is available. This place since the case open. But other Mac that we have in the House so different from mine. Should I call it Karma? Next to no where my CD player does not read any CD more. If original or a cheap it is not serious. Additionally CDs can only release by restarting my mac.

  It does not seem to have been updated for a couple of years and doesn't mention Windows 10. While many the most applications that are compatible with Windows 7 and 8 works perfectly under Windows 10 I can say from personal experience, if this also applies to the Windows Migration Wizard.

  I have an old iMac (mid 2007), Mac, but I have never had any problems with it until this last update of OS lock (Version OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, although I have returned to an earlier version recently to prevent locking without result).  I have 4 GB memory 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB.  Usually, I use Safari when this happens. It requires a restart of the hard to get it working again. I also have the Machine backup time, which I returned to an earlier version of the operating system at some point.  In general, the cursor still moves, but does not work no matter what windows or controls, that is why it requires the hard reboot.  The Mac reputation is on the line, since I told my friends of Windows that Mac will last at least a decade before they may need to be replaced, while Windows based computers need replacing every 5 years.  Is that what I can do perfectly well apart from the replacement of this computer?

  1. the present proceedings is a diagnostic test. It doesn't change anything for the better or worse and therefore, by itself, will not solve the problem. But with the help of the results of the tests, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.

  The test works on OS X 10.8 ("Mountain Lion") and later versions. I do not recommend running it on older versions of Mac OS X. It will do no harm, but it will not do not much good.

  Do not be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You make the tasks more complicated with the computer all the time.

  2. If you do not already have a current backup, please back up all the data before doing anything else. The backup is needed on the general principle, not because of what anyone in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you encounter any kind of problems with the computer, you can be more than the usual loss of data, if you follow these instructions or risk not.

  There are ways to back up a computer that is not fully functional. Ask if you need advice.

  3 here is instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it doesn't change anything. It does not send or receive data over the network. There is no to generate a report on the State of the computer human readable. This report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you make three unsuccessful attempts to enter the password, the test is still running, but it will produce less information. If you do not know the password, or if you prefer not to enter, just press back three times at the password prompt. Yet once again, the script will run.

  If the test takes much longer that usual to run because the computer is very slow, you can be prompted for your password a second time. The permission you grant by entering it will expire automatically after five minutes.

  If you are not logged as an administrator, you will be prompted for a password. The test will run. It just will not do anything that requires administrator privileges.

  10. the test may take a few minutes to run, depending on the number of files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that is abnormally slow may take more time to run the test. During execution, a series of lines is displayed in the Terminal window like this:

      Test started

          Part 1 of 4 done at: … sec        …        Part 4 of 4 done at: … sec

      The test results are on the Clipboard.

      Please close this window.

  The intervals between the parties will not be exactly the same, but they give an approximate indication of progress.

  Wait for the final message "Please close this window" appear - again, usually within a few minutes. If you don't see this message in about 30 minutes, the test probably won't be completed within a reasonable time. In this case, press the Ctrl + C key combination or the point command to stop it. Then go to the next step. You will have incomplete results, but still something.

  In order to get results, the test should be allowed to perform or be stopped manually as shown above. If you close the window of the Terminal, while the test is still running, the partial results will not be saved.

  11. when the test is completed, or if you manually stopped, leaving the Terminal. The results have been saved to the Clipboard automatically. They do not appear in the Terminal window. Please do not copy from there. All you have to do is start a response to this comment and then paste it again by pressing Command-V.

  At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words «Start time.» If you do not see that, but rather to see a mass of gibberish, you wait for the message "close this window". Please wait and try again.

  If personal information, such as your name or e-mail address, appear in the results, make anonymous before posting. Usually it will be not necessary.

  What you were doing by pressing the button home and sleep for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo came back, is called "force restart '.

  You won't lose data by doing this, but it can cure a few glitches. It is usually the last thing to try before you restore the phone to factory again or visit an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized service provider, where your phone does not at all.

  Unfortunately, Halo 2 does support Windows Vista and more.  Windows XP is not supported.  There may be 3 party hacks that can make it work, but they are not taken in charge and potentially dangerous.

  I get conflicting info about whether Laserjet Pro p1102w will be printed with the Lion of the mountains or the Mavericks. In a support article titled "install the printer on a Mac Running OS X v10.8 (only for network connections) Mountain Lion".

  Updated the MACBook Air to OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan.  In this process, my printer disappeared.  Apple support had to intervene to get the printer view and print - that was yesterday & took 1.5 hrs.  Today, I tried printing and get the error "offline."  I went through the steps of unplugging the printer and Router 2 x, but always 'offline' message.  Help please!

  I understand that you have some problems with your Mac OSX 10.11 for the Laserjet P1102w printer machine printing. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. On your Mac, click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
  2. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
  3. Click on reset printing system.
  4. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. Select your printer from the list.
  6. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
  7. Click on Add.

  Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  So, we have the following here the use case...

  Background:

  We have a FMS instance that has several teams using multiple applications, air conditioned and have their own specific communication needs. Teams of infrastructure, such as the database or Server team are also included on this FMS. We have services configured around applications and their dependencies, so a single object will exist in several services.

  To work around the lack of granularity configuration and horrible the service-based E-mail in the form, I created an event rule that queries for FSMServices affected for a given event and iterates over all the unique services, pulling on the notification settings through our way of soil and trigger Actions from the command line or appropriate accordingly EmailActions... we use of the-d in the field of shortDesc service options.

  We have teams who want notification on certain rules of certain severities (such as criticism), but not others.   We will create a new cartridge (FoglightCommunication) that contains a custom dashboard and the definition of the topology for a FSMServiceConfig object. This object contains a white list or black list for some rules should be provided for each service. This TopologyObject would also resume functionality which serve as my current shortDesc variables... Essentially, it would contain all THE information relevant to its corresponding FSMService object configuration. We have experience in creating modules advanced both in the creation of Foglight cartridge/agents/topology definitions.

  The dashboard would exist to facilitate the configuration of this new object and to facilitate the visualization of the current communication service. This would also allow our team to allow the teams less educated with Foglight feature more easily and completely configure their own communication service. Empowering the team owner is always a good thing

  My Question:

  Did someone in the quest (it's such a name cooler than Dell) sees a problem with this? My only concern is that we could lose all our configuration information to uninstall the cartridge for a upgrade problem. He might consider a work around with an option to export/import... but it's a messy solution and a non-human evidence. Is there a way to specify the data to be persisted, even if the cartridge that has defined this topology definition is uninstalled?

  Hi Adam.

  This looks like a very useful customization. I don't see why your team should not move forward with that.

  I also like the idea of building an import/export feature in your cartridge in order to preserve the configurations in case you need to uninstall the cartridge. Note that even in this case, type of custom topology that was written to the repository data Foglight will always be there (i.e. it will not be served unless you specifically request this) - so you can be able to get Foglight to save the configuration information important for you.

  I encourage you to update the community on your progress on this and send questions, screencaps, etc., as needed.
