  Step 1

  Find your file and right click (Alt - click) the icon. This will bring you a menu with a number of actions in this regard. Click info

  Select Get Info

  Step 2

  You will be presented with a window that looks like the image below. Here all the information on the file that you selected, including its location on the Mac, the size of it and much more. What interests me is the section in the red zone.

  

  The Open with: section shows the current application that this type of file opens with, and clicking it it shows a drop-down list that hosts the application different types you can choose. Click on it to reveal the menu drop-down

  You will be now be presented with something similar to the image above - a list of applications that can open this type of file. Select the one that you want to be the new default application.

  Tip: If your application is not in this list, you can select other at the bottom of the list to navigate through all of your applications on your Mac

For now, it works well, but I often wonder if it runs more slowly so that was when I bought my Mac end 2011. I was told to stay away from MacKeeper.  I have approximately 427 GB of free HD space and 16 GB of RAM. The RAM is usually between 7 and 8 GB and some programs and open. I closed usually programs or apps if not using them. My OS X is currently El Capitan. I think I'll be able to download macOS Sierra in autumn.

  There an honest answer as to the ability of software to clean, optimise and delete records with users of Apple Mac? Comments, suggestions or advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  Macs have built in procedures that automatically run and do what is necessary. More 3rd party 'tune up' and 'cleaning' software cause more problems than benefits. You won't find many people here their recommendation.

  You do not have anti virus for Mac.   Review carefully on known sites and you should have no trouble.   Don't download questionable sites (Cnet, MacKeeper and similar).   If you are unsure about a site, ask here in the forums.

  There are many options that claims to do what you need.  From personal experience, it's almost a function of the PDF itself, not all PDF files are the same when you open them in apps claiming to edit PDFS and convert them into editable documents.  Bottom line: be prepared to be frustrated at times.

  On the Apple App store, you can search the OCR and see what happens. Don't forget to look at all the comments and sort them by more critical if possible and act accordingly.

  Sometimes, if you want just the content (not pretty ness), you can simply enter the PDF text, paste into a good text editor and clean.

  The ICD-SX750 is compatible with Mac OS X (v10.2.8 onward) and you can drag and drop files and import them into iTunes, if necessary, however the Digital Voice Editor software is Windows only.

  Please, try the steps mentioned below and check:

  • Click on the Apple menu icon and then click on System Preferences.
  • Click on printers and Scanners, print, Scan, or print and Fax.
  • Click the Add (+) button.
  • Search, then select the name of your printer in the Printers list, and then click Add to add your printer.
  • Click on print to help... and then select the name of your printer (default "Airprint" would be selected)
  • Now try printing.

  These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results

  As you receive this type of error and you do not see the HP software on your Mac computer, then please follow this HP document on a message "No computer found" during scanning. The Photosmart 5514 software may have gotten deleted when you took your Mac computer for maintenance. At the end of this document provides troubleshooting steps to reinstall the software.
