  I had a long discussion with a Support Agent and finally solved my problem in activating my root user... after a lot of trial and error/attemtpts. Here is my summary just fyi, I hope this works for you also.

  I'm on MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5.

  1. They had me first go to ~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE and delete the file 'opm.db '... Creative cloud question remained.
  2. Then they asked me to go to support/Adobe ~/Library/Applications and rename the files "AAMUpdater" and "OOBE"... and go to the library/application support/Adobe (note this is a different path) and remane the files "AAMupdater" and "AAMupadaterInventory"... question remained.
  3. They had me also go to my Netwrok Prefrences, Proxy server to configure, and enusre all boxes are unchecked and "use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" also unchecked... did not help, the question remained.
  4. Of course they had me uninstall and then reinstall the creative cloud application, which I did (Applications > utilities > Adobe installer and run the "uninstall Creative Cloud")... but the question remianed.
  5. Finally, they had me to visit this page on the Apple support page, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and activated the user root for OS X Lion.
     1. After allowing the root user (and create a new password for it), I rebooted my Mac
     2. Saved in my Mac once as 'root' and connected to Adobe Creative Cloud using my usual Adobe user/email name and password.
     3. Go to the 'Applications' tab, and it worked perfectly!
     4. I disconnected the root on my Mac, then that reconnected me.
     5. Launched the creative application of Cloud, connected and went to 'Apps'... works great!

  You can again save wmp.dll, and then search for the question.

  a. Click Start, run and type:

  regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Windows Media Player wmpband.dll"

  b. press enter and restart the computer and check.

  It seems that I have the same problem as missred in this thread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19232 (bottom). Unfortunately I can't answer it this is why I am writing here. The version of my laptop is 3440CT.

  My test was to make a win98 HD bootable with directory i386 on it, the start of this drive and run the Setup with winnt.exe. OK, it works, but while the files are copied after awhile it just hangs. I tried with a partition and i386 on the active system partition and with two partitions and i386 on another non-system partition. I don't have floppy or CD for the laptop drive.

  Any ideas what's happening? Is it possible to install XP on the same disk, installing XP is started from?

  PS: My other tests were:
  -complete the installation of XP on another computer, then move the reader
  -Installation of XP on another computer until it resets first (after you complete composing the installation files), then move the reader
  both without success. I also changed the drive to another as I suspected it is physically damaged. Now I'm ideas ;)

  To me it sounds more like a HARD or RAM disk as an incorrect Setup procedure failure.

  What do you think?

• Error on blackBerry Smartphones play iTunes from the multimedia player

  I use the BB software to sync my music without DRM from iTunes to my Storm but for some reason, when I play the song on the storm and I switch from portrait to landscape view, the song stops and the next is played.  I also get a generic error message 'Error play.'  It is the second time that I have synced, and it didn't happen the first time.  Everyone knows this?

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

• After you have installed the Mavericks, VMs still open like new desktop computers

  Before the Mavericks, if I open a VM (full screen) on my MacBook with a monitor external, it would open on the external monitor, but it would not drag on and create a new office. I liked it. (If I did the same thing without the external monitor attached, he pourrait slide over and create a new office, which I also liked.) I was able to return between my two VMs with command + ~. Life has been great.

  I think I solved this by going to settings-> Mission Control and uncheck "screens have separate spaces" (setting don't stick the first time - had to do it twice). Now the behaviour seems similar to the way it was.

  I'm ciau built in music player and it works fine if I listen to it from the widget of the screen, but if I go into the player's menu and manually select a song in the list he stops playing after 3 minutes (once the screen goes black).

  We know we need to do a backup of an oracle database by using the appropriate tool, in most cases the rman. But we have in our society, a person who helps us with the backup of all the databases oracle we have.   As EdStevens said, it's essentially a backup without value. When you copy files from a backup ' hot', there may be inconsistencies in the blocks of the file as transactions actively edit these blocks while the copy is made. Mechanism of Oracle backups hot managed by users is to put the database or tablespace in backup mode, copy the files, and then the end backup mode. Without this mechanism, the chances of being able to restore from this backup are very, very thin.

  My question is: can recover us my database using this copied data files?

  Are we still at this stage?  When the type of file/Preferences associations do you see the box go?  Click on that and naviate CS5 to set the default option for opening the file.
