MacBook pro at 1920px external monitor via hdmi?

I just got MacBook pro 13-inch retina and the default resolution is 1280px in width, and the maximum value is 1600px.

If I connect the laptop to an external monitor via HMDI 1920px resolution, the resolution will actually be 1920, max mobile as 1600?

You can set the external display to the monitor native resolution or HDMI resolution according to your preference.

Don't use mirror display on external monitor because when you mirror on the screen display resolution is also in reverse. Use extended display mode.

  • Max Resolution for external monitor via HDMI on Lenovo Y700?

    Hello

I hope that someone has experience with external monitors on a computer laptop y700.

I would like to ask if my laptop Y700 supports resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080 for external displays via HDMI.

    My model is:

Is this possible with my laptop. And it is even possible to connect a 4K screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

So finally, I tried to connect my laptop to a 2560 x 1080 widescreen-resolution-display via HDMI in an electronics store:

THIS MARKET! It is not a problem to run it with 2560 x 1080 at 60 Hz. The only problem might be a 4K resolution screen that it only works with 30 Hz, because it's an HDMI 1.4 port.

  • Latitude E6440 display blink when connect you to an external monitor via hdmi to VGA Converter

    Hi Dell Community,

Please help me diagnose what's wrong with my new laptop.

My laptop is Dell Latitude E6440, but whenever I connect external monitor to my laptop HDMI via HDMI port to the converter VGA, the external monitor still flashes randomly every two seconds. This VGA HDMI converter / works fine when I used it on the other laptop.

Currently I still have the chance to try my laptop HDMI port to connect directly to a HDMI monitor because I don't.

Is it that someone has the same problem with me? Thanks for your help.

Dell currently manufactures replacements of main card to resolve this problem. They will be available at the end of July. Please make sure you have a current subscription and contact support to be eligible for replacement.

  • How to mirror the MacBook Pro w/retina to HDTV via HDMI

The Mac and the TV are connected, but what I get on the TV is simply on my desktop, it does not appear even the desktop icons that I recorded on my desktop and when I open the program it will not display those.  Any help on what to change to fix this would be appreciated.  Thanks Mike

what I get on the TV is simply my office

Then characteristic "Extended desktop" works as expected.

System Preferences > monitors > reorganize

... show you how views are supposed to be placed on your bench. If this is not true, you can drag the icon associated with each view to organize. The mouse moves freely across the border between the displays and can drag a window with it. The implementation of extended desktop is so good that if you drop a window so that the half on each of the two screens, this scrolling window scrolls both portions of "the right way".

If what you really WANT is mirrored, you need only check the box, however - screen resolutions can change something that both can achieve if you do this, so the results can be less than optimal.

  • External monitor (projector HDMI) not recognized in CC AE or AE CS6 with the new Macbook Pro

You have a very difficult problem that maybe someone can help me find a solution.  I had an old Macbook Pro (2009-ish) I was using with AE and my HDMI projector to do the work of projection mapping.  The laptop computer motherboard used recently (not linked, I don't think) but now I bought a new Macbook Pro and am trying to use the HDMI output to the projector as my external monitor in After Effects (I tried both CC and CS5.5 and CS6). Under Preview video it does not appear as an option to send to (the choices are computer monitor only or Firewire).

I'm a mess that I'm supposed to do a show tonight with the installation I did many times with my old Macbook and AE and now can't do it at all. I have to be able to have the projector receive EI feed - and nothing I've done so far has helped. The system sees the projector, then why doesn't AE?  I can't drag the window of the program in the projector window space and expand - there must be exactly 1920 x 1080 in order for me align correctly.

If there is Adobe TAPI people this morning, I'd CERTAINLY appreciate your comments, as well as any other person who might have had similar problems. It should work, it should be a no-brainer. Right now I'm running a new STANDARD Apple Macbook Pro with HDMI output and the latest version of AE CC with all updates done. Please, please help!

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

After Effects does not come with components for an HDMI output.

Your other computer must have installed additional components that adds this functionality.

  • MacBook Pro does not detect monitor Dell through CDM

Guys, a few weeks ago I asked a question if bolt of lightning 2 CDM-compatible monitors. You guys lied. I got the Dell P2715Q today and I have connected to the computer with the USB cable I had Plug and cable thunderbolt. I did everything, but my Mac has not detected even if I pressed the "Detect" button in the system preferably several times. I restarted my computer and still nothing happens. The monitor speaks to me of * like 'Enter in Safe Mode' then what I do now? What the * Apple? You create all by yourself? Your useless thunderbolt screen is worse than the air show 2011 MB! Help guys!

What USB connection?  There is no "monitor" for this Dell Monitor USB connection.  The USB connection is a USB hub built into the monitor for other devices.  You must select one of the following values: DP, HDMI or mini-DP.

I'm sitting on my right now uses a new MacBook Pro computer w/Retina.  It is connected via the Thunderbolt port to a Dell U2715H using the connection of the RFP at the back.  No problem at all.  I used this type of connection for the most recent years (previously an old MacBook Pro, 2011 model).

    Hi ColonelKermit,

I understand that you have a problem with your screen when attaching it to an external monitor. You can try to fix it by resetting your NVRAM memory on your computer, which is explained in the following article:

  • HP Envy 23 display: no sound: Macbook Pro (retina) with HP monitor

I just got a HP Envy 23 monitor to use with my Macbook Pro of retina and so far it has been a serious struggle. The problem, I'm focusing on today is healthy. The monitor has a headphones Jack Beats Audio. Headphones are connected but my Macbook claims 'the selected device has no exit controls' and there is no sound at all. The monitor and the laptop are connected via an HDMI cable. What is the problem? I don't want to return to the screen, but it seems that I could roll up to spend hundreds of dollars on cables and Adaptateures to find the right combination to get a clear picture and sound. Ugh.

Thank you for any help or advice.

Here is the manual for a HP ENVY 23 IPS monitor, which may be the one in question or just a similar but reading of the record, I believe that there can be no speakers.  By reading the description, it could lead the user to assume there are speakers: "HP ENVY 23 23 inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor with Beats Audio" but it must just be a thing of audio processing.

  • Can I connect Macbook Air to two external monitors?

  • Why I can't have a decent resolution of my Macbook Air with an external monitor?

    MacBook Air 13 "(early 2014)

I bought a Samsung S32E590C 32 '' nice monitor but cannot get above 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (1080 p) using Thunderbolt to HDMI. The resolution is so low that I can't use the screen correctly. I'm afraid I won't be able to get a better resolution with my Macbook Air and will have to sell the monitor...

    Suggestions please.

    Hi sansthwaites,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your MacBook Air and your new view. I'm sure we can help you understand what can happen.

Based on your model described, it seems that the beginning of 2014 MacBook Air should be able to produce a somewhat higher resolution for a monitor external, as shown here:

    Graphics and video Support

    • Intel HD 5000 graphics card
    • Dual display and copy video: simultaneous support for native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors

MacBook Air (13 inches, beginning 2014) - technical specifications

However, the max possible resolution may be limited by the type of connection, or the specific adapter you use. For example, this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter supports up to 4 K (~ 3840 x 2160) resolution:

Belkin 4 K Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter - Apple

    .. supported .While this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter only supports 1920 x 1200:

Amazon.com: AmazonBasics Mini (Thunderbolt) adapter DisplayPort to HDMI: computers & accessories

Then how you connect to an external monitor can certainly affect the maximum resolution available. In this case especially, however, I suspect that the issue is actually the screen itself, as it appears from the Samsung S32E590C screen to list a 1920 x 1080 max resolution:

Support - curved screens S32E590C | Monitors Samsung

    I hope that was helpful.

  • MacBook Pro not mounting external hard drive

My Macbook Pro (early 2015, running Mac OS Sierra) is not able to mount my [new] external hard drive (Seagate Backup Slim). It shows up in disk utility, but the volume seems shady. Nothing happens by pressing the command mount or performing first aid. Kindly help me out here.

    Hi vishesh97,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

We understand your question that you have a new external hard drive, a backup Slim Seagate, which does not appear when you connect to your MacBook Pro.

Allows because it is a new hard drive, try to clear the disc first and formatting for Mac OS extended (journaled). The instructions for this process are found in the article below:

For Mac disk utility: delete a volume using disk utility
