  File Vault encryption is a security feature. Olny you know if you want or need it. I don't use it.

  I really hope that someone can help me here. I've updated to El Capitan Yosemite yesterday through software update, but now when I start the computer I get "no entry" or sign a circle with a diagonal line through it, or the Apple with the progress bar / error message / black screen and it repeats 3 times then stops.

  I'mnot you know where my disk of Mac OS x is so ideally don't want to reinstall the whole system.

  I did a back up of my work using Time Machine before saving, so I hope that I have most of the things I need backup.

  Restart by pressing cmd - R after the tone. It should boot into Recovery. From there, use disk to check/repair disk utility. Quit disk utility and reinstall OS X.

  The circle with a slash through it means that it does not find the necessary boot files.

    For Windows, I'd say to set the priority of the process in Lightroom as a via the Task Manager

    For Mac, you suggested to copy the catalog to the location on the desktop or another location and then, check if the problem persists.

    After referring upgrade to the macbook pro mid 2011 for OS X 10.11.15, I have to do a lot to restart, as well as the different key combinations in order to get mac (even that becomes difficult to solve the problem now!) I tried the diet, Ctrl + R, Shift + Ctrl + S, Shift + Ctrl + R + P, etc.. Although this may work from time to time, I am particularly concerned when I do school work timely.

    Hi, I used Migration Assistant to copy the data from my old machine to a new MacBookPro. At the launch of CC for the first time there was a lot of error messages, so I uninstalled all my Apps CC and began to resettle. PP and AE work perfectly but the SOUL doesn't "start queue" and hangs on exit. I tried different codecs. I tried to uninstall and reinstall SOUL. Short of a clean reinstall of OSX and to leave without using the Migration Wizard, anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

    If you can take a look under My Documents > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder > 8.0 > Presets?  If you happen to see a link to alias for Presets, remove it and revive the SOUL.
