Hello! Other keys + keys arrow of my MAcBook Pro has stopped working after I sprayed accidenly guarantee directly to the Board of Directors. Clean under the key and the key, but it did not help. Any Suggestions? Thank you! (With the help of the external keyboard)

  • MacBook Pro starts does not after crash

    Hello

first... Sorry for my English ;-)

I have worked on my MacBook Pro (early 2011) and the screen was distorting the market. I did a reset hart (by pressing the power button / stop to stop). After that he starts not more. I erased the MSC, the Cache of the NVRAM. Tried to boot in recovery of the Internet. But I get only a blank white screen and the fan at full power. Beginning not more.

What it could be and what can I do?

    Thank you very much!

  • MacBook Pro (2014) does not charge despite an orange light when plugged

    Hello

So my 2 year old Macbook Pro (retina) does not load when it is plugged in - spite, projecting the orange light. I have a battery (20%) and it is reduced whenever I use it and will be soon drained.

Some of the things I've tried

-Reset SMC - tried but no change after

-When I use the mac when it is plugged in the battery icon in the top bar done see the support - but there is no increase in % of the battery. Continuous use it starts to fall.

-During use (and what battery is plugged) - I checked the report system (about this Mac section) - in the energy sector - it is said does not charge (despite being connected, the orange light and the symbol in the top bar)

What do you think guys that it is? MLB? Battery?

What I have to replace or can it be fixed?

If you have the Apple store, take the machine evaluation.  There is no charge for this, but you need an appointment.   The first thing I would check would be the cable.  You have another machine to test this with.

  • Macbook Pro retina does not illuminate

    Hi all

I have a 2015 13 "Macbook Pro, that will not start at all. Last night I came back after a day holiday and powered to the top of my Macbook for the first time in two weeks. The battery level was around 25%, so I plugged the magsafe and did some navigation / watching Youtube. I noticed the GET a little slow mac and a youtube video stutter a bit, but it was late so I was not too concerned and put the Mac to sleep mode by closing the lid.

This morning, after waking up, I noticed that the magsafe light was still orange, which seemed strange to me as he did pay for one night for a good 10 hours. I opened the cover, but the mac does not wake up. I pressed the power button and the computer booted. At first, everything seemed OK but the computer seems slow and internet soon.

As the bright light battery was still orange that I flew over the battery icon, which showed 100%. I unplugged the magsafe and he fell immediately to 0%, so I reconnected it. I went to make a diagnosis, however about 20-30 seconds later the computer shuts down.

Since then, he failed to power to the top of all and nothing I have try works. I tried to hold the power button down, but nothing. There is no edge and the caps lock button is not illuminated, so I know that is not a problem of display.

I left the magsafe plugged in for 4 hours, and it's still orange.

I have reset the SMC. While this life Magsafe turns green for a few seconds, and then turn the orange back.

I tried an another magsafe, which is the same, so I've reduced that as a problem.

I spoke to Apple support, who say it could be the battery and take it to an Apple store. My most close is a 150 miles round trip, and there is no reserves for the next 8 days. I'm sure this will be a hardware problem, but everyone does not accept that it is likely to be the battery? I did have problems with the battery before it and the charge went really well. Would not the Mac boot always if there was a problem with the battery while it is still plugged into the mains?

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated

  • Windows 8 Pro key does not work after changing HARD drive

I had bought a Lenovo machine without installation of the OS and installed a Windows 8 Pro (and not an upgrade).

After activation ( laptop settings-> activate Windows ) and control, the copy of Windows has been properly activated.

The machine worked fine for 7 months before the hard drive crashed and I had to replace it. (Without recovery).

On installation the same Windows 8 Pro on the new HARD drive again, it shows " this key did not work." "If please check and try again or try a different key"

Please suggest a solution to this problem.

If my copy of Windows would have been an upgrade version, it would not have worked the first time.

    Have you bought a copy of manufacturer of OEM of Windows 8 Pro system? Because there was no full version boxes retail copies of Windows 8 Pro. The following work around to try to see if it works with your copy and then try the phone activation;

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/13375-clean-install-Windows-8-upgrade.html

    Activation of the phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Two Macbook Pro, both does not start up, when I press the power button, I hear two disc bit Caryl, I see little light on the front on the displasy release button, black screen, no edge

It was weird because I've NEVER had two computers have the same problem before. They are the model 2008 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 6 g of RAM, models of 128 GB of hard drive, the two Yosemite running, both had new hard drives, cables, batteries and RAM installed OWC (Apple approved reseller) and I use Macs for at least 20 years. In about a week, one just blacked out while sitting on my desk doing nothing, the other does the same on a week later. When I press the power button, I hear the drive hard hum twice, then all I get is the little light on the screen release button, that's all. Black screen. fails, nothing. I can press the power button and it will fit off the coast. Is it possible that some of them have infected somehow, or possibly send me the malware that has infected my system? I would not normally only, but for all of them to go down to one right after the other with the same problem just made me think, it must be the same cause, but what?  I had been in a war of fire recently with very ugly people, and I've never seen two Macs have the same exact problem in a row like that right.

I took readers on the Macbook Pro, put them on sleds and threw them in my PowerMac, and both seemed fine, no problem, started well upward, ran utility disk on them, no problem, so I started to the checklist. Reset the PRAM. Nothing. SHIFT key at startup. Nothing. D at the start. Nothing. V order at startup. nothing. I wouldn't mind even their evisceration and making a portable useful with the parts of the two, but until I find out what the problem is, what can I do?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it, I've supported every button I can think at the start, tried an inch USB key, boot and disk, this is the same Caryl bit both of the car, no chime, black screen, that's all.

    Thanks for your help.

no chime, black screen, that's all.

I don't think they are infected.

The startup chime indicates that the Mac has made the initial diagnostic tests and there is no hardware problems or fundamental software.

No edge in your case is a problem.  I think it's the luck of the draw to have 2 failures.

  • MacBook Pro 2012 does not SSD

    Hello

So a few months ago, I upgraded my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2012, OS X 10.10.5) with a SSD Samsung 850 Evo. Things were much faster and the other Corsair CMSA16GX3M2A1600C11 Apple Mac 16 GB (2x8GB) was also nice.

One day, the Macbook has no more SSD, start repair of OS X and reinstalling did not help. If at start up the Mac, then applications suddenly crash randomly.

Strangely, exchanging for 500 GB disk drive factory solves all problems.

In addition, I can boot OS X from the SSD via USB3, but internally it does not work.

I tried different SSD from Apple, Sandisk and Samsung, which were to be properly formatted or have OS X installed, but the Macbook simply does not accept them and either shows a blank screen or screen issue/question mark. With a support boot utility disk sometimes recognize them and sometimes not. The internal SATA cable has also been replaced by about 5 different cables, but that has not solved the problem. Replace the RAM, unplug the various components such as Superdrive or Trackpad as well.

I can use the Macbook Pro normally but being prevented from using a SSD internal is a serious drawback. My next plan is to try the drive Caddy + SSD boot drive solution but somehow I fear that it could also do not work.

Wouldn't be a kind of failure of the Logicboard? I'm certainly not an expert, but don't really see any other reasons.

    Thanks in advance!

any SATA enabled the logic board on a MacBook Pro after that 2007 should accept an SSD (I guess that ANY Board with SATA connectors actually are eligible for one SSD)

You may have damaged something with the Commission or if you are using any 3rd party with the DSS software is might be incompatible.

Readers work on other computers or is there no option to test this?

  • MacBook Pro 2008 does not start. WHY? (Fix included)

I have an old soldier, a Macbook Pro in early 2008. Like many others with MacBook as old as mine, I had the problem of my Mac, no start, showing only a black screen when I lit. He came to the point that I roll the die, each time that I chose to shut down the computer, I was wondering if it would ever start again. After taking in to get fixed twice and he'd end up and die after a few weeks, I tried a quick (and free-_-) fix I could do at home. (Note this isn't my question again, because I want to help some people who have the same problem, I had). I found a (I hope I remember where) online and I still thank the poster that has name up to this day.

The idea is the laptop overheating, refresh, then cross your fingers and hope that it starts. Here are the steps I followed:

    1. Remove the battery (if you can) and connect your Macbook.
    2. Find two pillows for "sandwich" of your Macbook with.
    3. Turn on the Macbook and put it on one of the UPSIDE-DOWN cushions. (This is critical!)
    4. Ask the second pillow placed on the computer (always upside down) and leave for an hour and a half, running. (It may help to cover pillows with more effective coverage trap heat).
    5. After that he did heating, place it in a room different upside DOWN and leave it for at least 8 hours. (Night works too).
    6. Turn UPSIDE down and pray that it starts. Repeat the operation if not... But if this is the case, you CAN use the computer right up. Just leave the upside when you have finished using it.

WARNING! This Act of overheating probably detrimental to the health of your computer. My computer is running stronger and a little bit slower than before, but if it does not, what really does anyway? My point is, there is a risk that is innate to this process, although I've never had any real problems with it.

Now for my question: WHY? Why the computer have this problem in the first place? Even if I found a solution, I would know exactly what I'm fixing. I was curious and were all that I could never find solutions, but no real explanations. If you have any ideas or knowledge in the field, I would greatly appreciate a response.

In addition, if you have any questions about the fix, please file an issue. This post is also a way to help you guys as well.

This particular type of MacBook frequently has graphic problems. This can be corrected (more or less) by "cooking" the logic board. What you are essentially a type of cooking with a mild detergent. And it has been done before!

  • MacBook pro screen does not light

Hi, I have a macbook pro 13 inch edition at the beginning of 2015. A few days when I tried to turn on my computer, screen not turn on including the lamp to the rear logo. but I heard the startup sound with the keyboard backlight on. I plugged the computer to an external monitor, then I saw in this computer monitor works fine. I tried to make configurations LANDAU and SMC. screen still does not work. but sometimes laptop screen lights up, then when I restart the computer, the screen will come up again. help me guys what should I do? If you're lucky, the connection to the screen is not correctly connected or must be replaced.  If you are unlucky, the display needs to be replaced.  Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.

  • MacBook Pro 2010 does not recognize the (formatted) SSD

    Hello

I saw a lot of topics on it and did some background reading. But in short, a 13 "middle MBP 2010 is simply show folder-question mark icon when starting after having inserted a 850 EVO Samsung newly formatted (option + cmd + r to try to start internet recovery mode and do a clean install of holding).

I tried to solve problems using other my Macbook Pro (a model 15 mid-2010 ")-Exchange the SSD back between the two machines, and I get different behavior which is what is so confusing.

The steps I have taken to date include:

-Insert the (unformatted) SSD in 13 "MBP. Hold down cmd + option + r download icon question mark.

-Insert the (unformatted) SSD in MBP 15 ". Hold down cmd + option + r. get starts in the recovery of the internet where I could format the drive!

-Replace the (newly formatted) SSD in 13 ". Hold down cmd + option + r. Yet once the icon question mark.

To make sure that I was not screw up internals I put the old hard drive back in 13 "and he started very well. It's a relief at least.

So I'm at this stage. Someone please correct me if my reasoning is wrong...

-He's not the SSD because my model 15 "it recognizes and plays well.

-It has No internal features of the computer, because it always starts on the old HD when I reinserted it.

-He could be the SATA cable. (I tried to change place than my 15 "model, but the orientation is different and I didn't take the risk of rupture of the cable).

    -It could be a PEBKAC

In the meantime I'll install a clean version on the operating system on the new drive while it is in the MBP 15 "work. Then, I'll try once more. But I don't hold any hope as the 13 "MBP doesn't recognize the SSD when would be the model 15".

This is the model 13 '

    Thisis the model 15 "

Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You probably replace the SATA cable in the MBP 13 ".  This phenomenon has been reported several times on these forums.  An SSD will start the MBP externally but not internally, and the original HARD drive will start the MBP even internally.  A new SATA cable solved the problem.

I do not offer a 100% guarantee, but I suspect that the chances are good.

    Ciao.
