MacBook screen went black and mouse froze

Hello, its been over a year since I bought my Macbook pro. I'll be honest, I don't use it every day, but today I had enough fear

First thing is that my Macbook screen everything went black at random and he stopped himself

The mouse has frozen the next time I rebooted, and nothing worked

It was the first time I opened my macbook in a week and I'm sure that there is no virus or anything 100%.

Should I worry or happen occasional accidents like this?

Thank you.

(Is there somewhere where I can check crashlogs or something to see what happened?)

Try SMC and NVRAM resets:

I was running Mozilla firefox on my computer until two weeks ago. At that time, the screen went black and now I am not able to use it.  When I click on the icon and open to the top it says cannot load xp.com and a flag of resolution comes up saying it can't run a resolution less than 1930 x 2300. I have no idea what this means and how I can solve this problem.  I thought that maybe the application was bad, so I deleted and then added it back on and it does the same thing.  I even did a restore of the system to try hard but nothing I did the work.  So, how can I solve this problem.  I'm not a computer genius, so he must be explained in simple easy to understand instructions.

I turned on my computer yesterdsay and everything went normally, I logged in but then the mouse pad or the keys for volume and all that would not answer. The screen would work normally thought, like a video youtube played. Next I went to turn my computer off because I thought it was a minor bug of gel. However, now whenever I try to turn on my computer, the screen remains black no matter what I do and no response buttons except the power button. The screen has absolutely nothing about it, and I don't know what to do. I know that the computer is running, as I hear it, but really nothing works. There are a lot of files in that computer, as I had for about 4 years now, and I'm a little desespered. Is there something to do?

I tried restarting several times but nothing helped, I'm afraid

    Hello

Try a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the power button for a minute.  Reinsert the battery, connect the AC adapter and see if the laptop boots.

  • My screen went black and won't restart

I was on my way back from school and all of a sudden it turned black. I tried to restart, and it does not restart. The apple logo appeared. I pressed the button home a few times and it didn't work. Siri, however, works. But I can not reset my phone or anything. I asked him to look for something to the top, in the hope that I would for the screen, but it would not. Even though I talk about Siri, it is very delayed and takes a few minutes so that she could even respond. Help, please! I have a strong case and no damage has been done to this phone!

  • Screen goes black and only the mouse pointer visible to the windows xp screen

My computer has used to work without problems.  Now, when I start it upward, to the Windows XP start screen, the screen turns off and all that is visible is the mouse pointer.  I tried to start safe mode, and it does give me even the option - not even if I press F8 at startup upward.  What is the problem with my computer and what can do?

Thanks for your answers, Dena and Jojih.

The screen went black and all I could see was the mouse pointer.  There is no ameioration or changes on the hardware of all kinds.  I wonder if one of my employees has a virus on the computer.  I could not do in safe mode, even if I tried to press F8.  If I put in the Windows XP CD, the screen would go black after that he loaded the system files, just like at the start of Windows XP.  So I used Acronis PC Backup and Recovery and make a recovery disc and used to reformat the hard drive and then I reinstalled Windows XP.  Everything has been great to work for.

  • iPhone screen went black

my iphone 5 s screen went black and the phone is still on and rings when people call me, what could be the problem and how can we solve this problem?

It may be a hardware problem. If it is a software problem, then a hard reset will solve it. Press and hold the power button (also known as the Sleep / Wake button) and the Home button for at least 10 seconds. If the Apple logo appears on the screen, it's a software crash.

  • Screen went black with 'Input not supported' circulate on the screen.

I have a Compaq Presario SR2180NX computer with a monitor, HP W19b. Lately the screen fonts/resolution move on their own to a much larger size. I went in the resolution to change it several times. Now, when this, my screen went black and a box with 'ATTENTION' entry not taken in charge"is floating around the screen. I rebooted, it unplugged and restarted but I can't display to show anything else. Suggestion? Comments except buy a new update of thing? Thank you very much.

Start the pc in safe mode and try to change the resolution.
    Then update the graphics driver.

    Hello

You will need to reverse the clean boot, as it is either incidental compared to
the real cause of the problem. What, where you try to fix initially using the cleanboot?

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If so you can try the configuration - control panel

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is

  • Change the resolution of the screen and the screen went black

Then I tried to change the resolution of the screen and the screen went black.  I tried to restart, plug in my HDMI port on my TV... Nothing.  So I went with a system refresh (yes I'm sure it was a refresh and not a restore).

The fact that there is no integrated procedure to detect the moment where that happens and return to the old resolution is annoying enough...  But now after that choose the system update and it would be only to reset the settings to default back and keep all the files (as he said it would be), I am extremely frustrated to know that it has deleted ALL my programs.  Program E-v-e-r-y.  This means that Chrome, Firefox, jGrasp, AutoCAD, all my programs Microsoft Office, all my Adobe stuff, my Visual Studio and so much more that I'm not naming.

I REALLY hope there is a place where they were stored so I don't have to reinstall everything manually.  If not, then wow, Microsoft... We finished.

Unfortunately a refresh as he said, only maintains personal records (program data), the data can be located in the "in the"Windows"folder windows.old folder normally C /: Drive, all modern apps should be kept."

All programs of office/legacy (Chrome, Firefox, jGrasp, etc.) need to be relocated from their original sources

Keep all of your programs, personal files (data), settings, the best option is to create a "Disk Image" - see link below for info.

  • Screen turns black and shuts off when wakes up Portege Z830 - 11M

    Hi all

Anyone know what could be the reason for the screen goes black and turns off when the laptop wakes up?
The laptop is Toshiba Portege Z830 - 11 M W7HP, purchased in September.

The problem started shortly after I bought the laptop, but gradually began with a period of 1-2 seconds black screen whenever I tried to wake the portable computer of fashion 'sleep'. He didn't look like a regular part "blackout" of the wake-up process so I just tried to ignore it, but it started to happen more often recently. It got really worse after two months of use and the black screen two or three times until I'm at the login screen. The error was also difficult to re-create because it was random. Sometimes, the screen went black once sometimes twice or just blinked for a fraction of a second.

Yesterday, I worked during the day and at night it turned really bad. The screen went black several times, whenever I went back to work after a short break.
I changed the laptop off when I'm done, but when I turned back on it in the morning, the screen was just black. I tried to use the touchpad, but it is only the screen on the gray.

Can anyone suggest what to do?

So finally that cannot start the laptop is Hmm normal?
It would be interesting to know if this help:
    -Battery adapter and ac removal
-Press and hold power button do this for 30 sec
    -Then reconnect both sides.
    Turn on the laptop?

  • HP Photosmart 7515: Touch screen went black

No matter how much I press, it stays black.

    I disconnected and reconnected.

Downloaded a new driver that allows me to trigger the scan of the computer,

    but I can't fax.

Is this a driver problem, a hardware problem...?  Don't know which firmware is.

    Hi @lenny15,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand the touch screen on your HP Photosmart 7515 is completely black, you are able to print from the computer, but can not access the front control panel.

I would like that perform you a Hard Reset on the PS 7515:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup because they can cause the printer to lose over time basic functionality).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward. If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

If after the hard reset, you are still not able to access the Control Panel, I suggest that call you our technical support at the 800-474-6836.
