Macro lens for Nex - 3n

Hello world. I'm new in the world of photography, and I don't know that much about the specifics of the cameras and lenses. I have a Sony Nex - 3n and I want to buy a macro lens to use with it. I'm confused about what will be and cannot be inserted. If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated I don't want to spend a lot of money only to find out the lens does not fit.

With the help of the SAL - 30 M 28 will require the use of THE-EA3 or LA-EA1 lens mount adapter because this lens is a lens mount. The SALT-30 M 35 is a macro E mount lens that does not require the use of an adapter when it is attached to the NEX - 3N.

  • Corrections of lens for NEX - 5

Auto lens corrections are properly selected for all my lenses mounted on my 5 d or the 450 d Canon, if the file is RAW and JPEG.

I recently bought a Sony NEX-5 and since version 3.4.1 LR will automatically recognize my Sony 2 lenses (18-55mm and 16mm) If you are using a RAW file, but not JPEG files! When I try to manually select it does not offer me the lenses I own, only the 18-200mm.

Is this a bug or by design? The other owners of NEX-3 or 5 have this same problem?

The Sony lenses only that seems to have a brute and a JPEG profile is the 18-200.  The others are high heat only.

  • Best first lens for macro photography wide angle

I am looking for more information on using lenses wide angle and tube extension to close to the top of the photograph.  The images will be used to capture the surface contours using PhotoModeler software.  This requires the use of a first goal.  I bought a 60mm Canon macro lens, but focal length is a bit long and surface data contain a lot of noise because the light rays are nearly parallel.  The target area containing reference marks, who must fill the area of the image of my 7 d is about 1.5 "square and the topics, located in the Center, are usually smaller than 0.75".  I'm looking for the 20 mm gun (or a 24 mm lens) for use with extension tubes.  Someone with experience with these lenses in close-up photography?  If so, what depth of field could hope for.

I will propose a tilt shift lens and series II Canon 24 mm or one attachment bellows with a lens in the 35mm range.

  • Better lens for pictures of products - EOS Rebel T3i?

    Hello

I have a Canon EOS T3i rebel I use strictly for product photography. We take the photo package and unpack the company/treats pet food; they come in the plastic support sleeves, overlays and blisters. Must ensure that all written content is readable and capture all the details when you take pictures of small Articles of decompressed. Is there any lens that I could use for the two pictures of the packaging and get all the details of the unwrapped items?

    I appreciate your advice!

I advise to use the Macro USM lens EF-S 60mm f/2.8 and install good tripod.  I use my tripod to shoot macros by reversing the center column and by changing the length of leg to tilt the column of the Center for the best light.

A macro lens is different from a classic lens in several ways.  One, a macro lens generally have a short minimum focus distance.  Two, a macro will also have a great value for the minimum opening.  A value as high as f / 40 s is not uncommon.

The reason for the higher f/stop parameters is due to the short depth of field you can get when you work at close distances.  I use higher values of f/stop to "extend" my DOF for a quarter of an inch or less, an inch or two or more.  The compromise is that narrower opening requires more light, in order to maintain the ISO required within reasonable limits.

Another difference that comes to mind, it is how a macro lens focuses.  A standard lens will focus on objects at a certain distance from the lens.  When you move the center of the field of vision, the focal distance remains constant, that translates into a "development plan" which is curved.

A macro lens is focused on a flat surface.  This is useful if you are Imaging old photos, instead of their scanning.  Instead get the good development in the Center and have it drop moving you to the outer edge of the frame, a macro lens will capture the entire flat photo in perfect focus.

I hope this helps.  It is a "Juevos Rancheros", BTW.

  • Good lens for daytime lightning

OK, since I got some really good (and much appreciated) tips here, I investigated.

Since I was buying lenses for my Canon 6 d, which is a good lens for landscape, full moons, lightning (day and night) to get? I have a Studio of photography of Monument Valley April 2016. He put if this time because of the full moon and any activities of monsoon, so you can't beat the landscape! I already bought a Firefly sensor.

I'm happy to get hands-on training with my camera to a professional!

    Any suggestions?

I would jump ef 24-105mm F4 L IS.  It can be done in a 'white box' version, too.  It's a full-on the objective of 'L' pro. The 28-135mm is not, but it is a very nice lens for what it is.  It's really a good buy.  But this isn't a goal at the pro level.

Any of these will "shoot the Moon" in great detail.  That will require a large telephoto lens.  In my humble OPINION, at least 400mm and 600mm preferred.

    «It was a Quantaray, but when he leaves with a focus...» »

I have no doubt that!  I will be very frank and probably rude, I'm sorry, but there are only three manufacturers of lenses that you should consider.  Canon as a first choice, Tamron and Sigma second, your choice.  Stay away from any other brand.  IMHO, as always, of course.  There are very few, other, brand lenses that 'work' but not as a general rule.  They all seem to have problems.  Just don't go there!  It is not worth.

Any lens you buy, it gives a good detailing, like B & H, Adorama, Best Buy, Amazon not!  Do not buy lens "kits".

    Just having the lens itself.

  • Please recommend lens for portraits

    Hello.

I am totally new to photography.

Bought Canon 600 d with 18-135 lens. But he has [email protected] the lowest.

Please suggest a lens for portraits

Budget ideally at close to $ 400

Maximum extended budget $600 If she made a significant difference to a photographer very amateur like me.

The Canon 50 mm f 1.4 objective is probably what you are looking for. On a crop body, it behaves like a 80 mm with a shallow depth of field (DOF) lens when shooting wide open or close expansion Xtreme

  • Macro lens EOS T3i not turn or focus

On my Canon EOS Rebel T3i, when I place the macro on the camera lens, it does not or focus (manually or automatically, if it is in auto or manual focus), almost like it is stuck. The zoom for the functions of this camera lens, normally when it is attached so I think it's a problem with the lens itself. Is there anything else I can try or is broken for good lens?

Take a look at the solution in the following thread posted by Canon product Expert Julius.

    http://community.USA.Canon.com/T5/lenses/autofocus-not-working-18-55mm-lens/m-p/138114#U138114

[EDIT]  This isn't a target macro, BTW.  The word 'macro' appears on the lens body to tell you what the MFD, minimum Distance of focus, or macro distance, is for this particular goal.

You're right, it's the focus is not on the list. I think Canon made a kind of determination about what advantage needs a lens of the optimizer and how many lenses are there in use.

For example, while the new kit lenses STM is supported in this way, the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro is not. Either because it would not really benefit from or there is not a lot of them it to use.

Good lens aberration correction tool many of the same things and works with all identifiable Canon lenses.

  • Close up lens for copied to digital slides

I would use a Canon 500 d or 250 d close up lens with my 18-55 II or EFS EFS 55-250 II on a Rebel T3 to copy slides to digital.  Has anyone tried one of these combinations with success?

I was paying too much attention to your question abou the 250 d and 500 d I missed the original topic - you want to scan slides.

    (a) a close-up filter is not appropriate.  Only a true '1:1 ' objective macro scale can do (for example the Macro USM lens EF-S 60mm f/2.8)

    but...

    (b) do not buy a goal for work of scanning... use a film scanner... a real film scanner.

    You could also...

    (c) consider all this sends to a service of analysis rather than yourself.  They are likely to have the best equipment and more experience.

  • Reflections on the lens for iPhone

    HHey guy

IM thinking of buying a new lens of ollioclip 4-in-1 for my iPhone 5s. So I just want to know your opinion about that. Is it really worth? and will really give me amazing pictures?

PS - I'm not pro-photographer. But, again, I want to take take pictures on my iPhone.

    Help me guys here.

    Thank you.

Pictures are taken by the photographer, not the goal. The lens will help with technical aspects. Take good pictures now? If so, better lenses you can of your pictures a little better. But, if you can already take good pictures, working on that, rather than spending money on more gadgets.

  • What lens for all around wildlife?

Hi, I'm new here. I shoot with an EOS 6 d and photo anything birds in flight to rattlesnake coiled on the ground. I'm looking for a good lens versatile and heavy leaning to the EF 100-400mm F4. 5-5.6 L IS II USM.  I also usually do not use my tripod, preferring to move and shoot like I will. Thoughts on this subject, or recommendations for a better option?
