  Apple is not responsible for ensuring that Epson provides scan to update drivers.  Epson is responsible for the update of their drivers and providing them to Apple, or publish them on their website.  Looks like the last update for the drivers scanner was on 09/07/2015 (http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=201987&infoType=Dow nloads & platform = OSF_M_X11).  The scanner is listed in system preferences/printer & Scanners.  I know that the printer is listed, but the scanner function is?

  CURL, used to work on Yosemite, but it's been a while since I used it.  Any help in fixing this error would be greatly appreciated.

  I tried to use the loops provided by AMPPS download and change my path to hit this curve first. Curl works but then has problems with all certificates of sites. Tried to download the http://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html cacerts file, and specified the file but still the same problems.

  The FN keys are controlled by value added and Flash Cards Support utility package. I think you forgot to install these tools

  Method 1.
  Interestingly, I found the drivers for Windows 7 for this particular model of Vaio. Here is link thye:

  I suggest updating all your drivers from the link above and drivers Realtek especially.

  Method 2. Set the default Microphone.

  Once the drivers installed to check if the microphone is the default value, here's how:

  Exercise the functions mentioned below to adjust the Microphone as default:
  1. Click Start and click on Control Panel.
  2. click on sound, then a new window will open.
  3. in the new windows, click on the 'Registration' tab and right click in the window and click Show disabled devices.
  4. now check if the Microphone is listed there and right-click on it and choose activate.
  5. turn highlighted that Microphone and click "set as default".
