Magicolor 2300 DL Printer-Laser - Black: Toner low

I just replaced all 4 with compatible toners - provided by printerinks.com.

There is no problem with the color toners, BUT the new black toner message remaining 2%.

The provider to replace the cartridge - no change to the error message.

I complained to the Manager and he sent another cartridge free of charge.

This black cartridges produced the message 0%.

Whatever the 0% the printer continues to print black OK except that now, there seems to be tiny streaks (almost swaths) in color images.

I had the printer a number of years and not encountered this problem before.

This problem is possible if the cartridges are too full, or what else could it be?

You should be contacting the manufacturer of the printer for the best help.  The industry of ink and toner (printer industry and) is, in my view, shady.  Ink and toner are by far and away the main source of income for the printer manufacturers and they often integrate chips in cartridges that are detected by the printer and if a chip a non-fabricant (or any piece) is detected, the printer will misbehave or are reluctant to the cartridge.  Third-party ink cartridges may have several problems because there is no guarantee they are not already be used cartridges that are not prepared to charge properly or filled correctly.  In addition, any ink cartridge may have some things go wrong with it, if filled out correctly or not.  I gave up third-party ink and toner.  I find that I spend less buying cartridges that are approved by the manufacturer because they usually work for me and the savings to purchase compatible cartridges is not sufficient to overcome the extra money I was paying to buy replacement cartridges for those who failed.  Ink and toner is one of the largest scams of our time.

So, I used this printer very well for about 6 months with Win7 Home Edition.  Received a warning of low black cartridge about a week ago.  Today I went to print a jpg file, it comes out ALL black.  Tried to print a PDF file with colors in, that's fine.  Test page prints correctly.

    What the devil?

A black toner low causes REALLY do?

I'm not sure that this is related to this error message, but it could be a software problem. When you print these images? Have you tried other places? Looks like that the system does not send the information to the printer properly for me, so we'll see the first relocation of the software:

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

find and install SOFTWARE to FEATURE FULL if it is available:

Install and let me know the result!

  • How to print without yellow toner cartridge in a hp CP1215 laser printer. I broke the yellow cartridge.

I accidentally broke my brand new hp CP1215 Laser printer yellow cartridge. I just want to use only other colors like magenta and cyan etc. But the printer is not printing at all because there is no yellow cartridge.

Is there a way to print using other colors such as magenta or cyan? I want to type text only (development) using these colors. I use Windows 7 Ultimate and hp CP1215 Color Laser printer.

I would like to underline a text using magenta or cyan to show important points. I want to use the colors black, magenta and cyan in the text. Changing the settings to print only black and white can not do this.

Unfortunately, you'll have to buy a yellow toner cartridge to solve the problem.

  • HP Laser Jet Pro CM1415 can only you by default for all print in black to save color ink?

My impression is text I want to print using black ink only.  I tried using shades of gray, but ran out of all my color cartridges and still have 70% of black left!  Is there a way to get the printer to use only black ink, unless I said to use the color (for photos) so that my color ink will last longer?

If you use the "Print in grayscale" checkbox in the properties of the printer, which will force the printer to use only the black toner.  You can check by looking at the page printed under magnification.

Of course if your photos are full page that will use much more ink than, say, 5 x 7.  If you are printing photos on glossy paper rather than the typical plain paper, which will tend to use a little more toner.  Keep in mind that yields of the cartridge is based on the coverage is low (such as text), and the photos have a much higher than the text coverage.  I'm curious about how many photos and what size, don't you think that you have printed this year?

  • Cannot print just black and white - cannot print all black when a low cartridge

I had this 6700 Officejet just long enough the warranty has expired. Go figure. I have 2 problems.

    1. from my PC, it will print not just black and white, even if I chose "printing black and white only. I have to go through the whole syetem of dialogue ect ect, which is delayed. It prints perfectly just black and white of my portable Macbok.

    2. it won't let me print a document all in black and white, because I have a low color cartridge. Whey do I have to have color cartridges to print just a black and white document. Very annoying and frustrating. I'm almost ready to use as target.

    Hi fpsolutionsllc,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand your frustration and want to enlighten us and also bring some answers to your questions about the ink on your HP OfficeJet 6700 systems.

    1. you are able to go to your printer properties and change your settings for printing in black and white only, without having to change it whenever you want to print something. See the steps listed below:

    * Go to your devices and printers

    * Right-click on your 6700 and select Print Options

    * Select your desired default and press Ok

    2. you cannot print without all cartridges installed because even if printing black and white printer will still use the ink contained in the cartridges of color for maintenance tasks. It takes little ink from all cartridges in the service of the print head and avoid any clogging. To get a better understanding of take a look here: use of inkjet printers ink.

I've found this useful information here: a 'ink alert' or "Low on ink" Message appears on the computer or the printer control panel

  • HP 3050 has: only want to print in black

I want to print in black only.  My color inks are very low, my almost full black ink.  How can I do this?

The Deskjet 3050 a printer print (but not copy) with just the black cartridge installed as indicated on page 30 of the manual here.  Store the removed color as shown in the paper here.

    Use single-cartridge

Use single-cartridge use the HP all-in-one with only one cartridge. Mode single-cartridge begins when an ink cartridge is removed from the distribution of the print cartridge. In the mode single-cartridge, the product can only printing from the computer.

NOTE: When the HP all-in-one device operating in mode single-cartridge, a message appears on the screen. If the message appears and two ink cartridges are installed in the product, make sure that the piece of plastic tape protection was removed from each print cartridge. When the Ribbon plastic covers of the print cartridge contacts, the product cannot detect the cartridge is installed.

    Exit single-cartridge

Install two ink cartridges in the HP all-in-one to exit single-cartridge.

  • Photosmart 5510 - cannot print with black just in

I have a Photosmart HP 5510 e-All-in-one printer - B111a. I am running Mac OSX 10.8.5, running a Macbook pro mid 2012 15 inches. I am able to run Windows 8, but have not tried. I threw the magenta, cyan and yellow. I bought a new black toner cartridge. My printer does not print unless I have the magena, cyan and yellow installed. Is it possible to spend it?

No, the cartridges must be present.  In addition, if the printer is allowed to sit for a long time with the cartridges removed the "plumbing" may become permanently blocked.

  • 6510 all-in-one does not print in black

    Hello

So my off-warranty 6510 has started to not print in black. I bought this in August 2012, and it has been pretty reliable.

Now it just won't print black. I searched through these forums and I feel like a big community now - I'm not alone with this problem.

I did print without end cleaning of the printer head and my PC (until the option has disappeared!). Print head alignment failed. And I have replaced the cartridge.

As it is not in warranty, I took the print head and gave him a * beep * clean. When he was replaced, it only printed a page in black (bad), then no more.

Print in color if fine, except now (after that numerout head cleans) most of the ink levels are low.

Stupidly, I expect a miracle and that a HP representative will respond and provide a kind of solution, but I think I know it's out of the dumpster. It'll be the 3rd death of HP printers in 4 years (the first 2 were replaced by the store - Costco).

At least now that my stock of cartridges is exhausted, I am not bound to HP again as if I was the last time.

Sort problem. Thank you very much for your support.

  • Want 5530: Printer does not print in black ink

I recently updated my HP 8.1 Windows of Windows 10 laptop.  I have the same type of printer (Envy 5530) installed at my other House and updated my desktop computer for Windows 10 and had no problem with printing, but now I'm with the laptop.  I try to print documents now and the printer does not print anything using black ink.  Color ink prints, black ink just not. The two jets of ink are filled.  I did all the "try these patches" suggested Windows and HP Print doctor.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer twice.  I rebooted the computer several times.  I'm no tech person by any means and have no one to help me or ask what else to do. Can someone help me understand this please?  Thank you!

    Hi @KKLfromIA,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not print in black with your printer to HP Envy 5530 on Windows 10. And I'm happy to help you!

You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

One of your ink cartridges, low or empty?

In the meantime, try the following solutions:

  • My printer does not print because my Magenta is weak. How I know to print in black only?

My printer told me that the Cyan cartridge is empty. So I wanted to buy all 3 colors, but the store had no Magenta in stock. "So I changed the Cyan, but my printer says: order supplies" if I put the yellow and now the printer says "order Magenta" when even they are weak, no vacuum. How can I work around this problem and just print in black? My printer is a HP Color Laser Jet CP2025.

Read the documentation that came with your printer, or which is available on the web site of the manufacturer of the printer if you want to know the features of the printer.  Examine the dialogues of the driver properties (by right-clicking on the printer in printers and faxes or printers and devices folder (depends on your version of Windows and you never said that) and choosing Properties or printing preferences > printing preferences.)  Somewhere in these properties will be an option "levels of gray.

  • Photosmart C410a fails to print in black

C410a stopped printing in black. No error message appeared. Supplies indicator revealed a level a bit low for the black ink, but not empty. At through print and tests the cleaning head which showed samples of light colour, but not black. Replaced by cartridge 564XL new, totally black, but printer failure continued in black. Printhead repeated to clean without success. Repeated remove a cartridge and reintegration to ensure a correct fit.

Ciara_B, thanks for the post of care. Yes, I tried the suggestion of Bob. It was quite an adventure! As expected, considerable ink washed the frame. In the end, no joy. After a few glass smoking and strong, I abandoned all hope for the weekend. During the following Tuesday I took a blow when printing, and miraculously, black printing worked OK.

At this point, I'm puzzled as to how or what could have affected the cure, after changing the black ink twice before the procedure of "soaking". Given the lack of effect on revenues HP, I'me reluctant to consider this as a plot by the company to sell more cartridges. However, I am open to suggestions.

    Thank you once again.

  • HP Officejet 6500 Wireless print with black ink

HP Officejet Wireless 6500 won't print with black ink. This printer as worked perfectly for years. Now, all of a sudden, he leaves by using black ink. All other colors are working very well. Any ideas?

I tried several cleanings and reset by pressing on # and 3 when turning the power on. Nothing works, but the ink levels are declining due to all the cleanings trying to get this thing to work.

    I have it!

I have searched all over the internet for a solution to this problem. Some people have the right idea, but not how to implement it.

Problem: Black ink doesn't print all colors print but not

Reason: for black print head is clogged.

    Implementation of solution:

Set 920 ink jet cartridges in cartridge print head which is held in place by small arm on the right side of the ink cartridges.

    1. remove all the ink cartridges. I didn't want them to dry, so I wrapped them in plastic wrap.

    2. lift the arm and remove the print head cartridge.

3 rinse the WHOLE print HEAD under a stream of water. I know it sounds crazy, but it will work. I thought it was best to rinse all the (not only black) because if I did not then the ink left any color would dry up and clog in any case!

    4. I leave the printhead to dry for about an hour, BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. When I handed the printhead my 6500 gave me an error message that it could not find the head of printing or something like that. I thought I ruined which was the risk I was willing to take. I went online and searched for a replacement at low prices. I immediately ordered it. But I have excluded the old printhead to dry just in case it is water which made it unnecessary.

    5. four days later I received a new printhead. Before I opened the package I tried the old an new AND IT WORKED! First, I installed the old print head cartridge, then each of the inks. After having done that, the 6500 did the rest. He went on a very long print head cleaning and alignment. He gave me the message "Please wait. Printer preparation occurring. »

    6. when the cleaning and alignment end it automatically prints a test page. It didn't look perfect the first time, but it was close. The message I got was, 'success. Alignment with success. Recycle or discard the printed page. Press Ok to continue. "The problem was that the ink cartridges were emptied of this whole process, even though they had about half of the ink when I removed them left. I changed the ink cartridges and did a cleaning and a level 2 cleaning and alignment. It worked!

    7. because I could not return the new printhead that I am now in case of failure of the print head for another reason.

I don't know how long it will take to dry print head after rinsing but I know works of 4 days. Perhaps a few days would have been sufficient. If someone does and less time please let others know here.

If you don't have success using my method, at least you know it will solve a new printhead. I paid about $35 for a new.

    Good luck!!

  • Print in black only

HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more.  How do you print in black only?

    Hi dolphin1,.

You will need to click the paper/quality tab, and then click the Advanced button to change printing in grayscale in black ink only. Keep in mind that this printer has a replaceable print head and must have all the colors ran through it to keep it in good working condition. If you only run the black only there is a chance that the printhead can get clogged in the color of the jets, which in turn can cause print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.
