Mail delete on iPhone, Mac

I use Gmail and thought that I would be put in place everything is correct. Basically if I delete an email on my iPhone or Mac I wanted to delete it from Gmail.

I happened to go live online at Gmail and found that I had more than 20'000 e-mails always in the label of 'all messages '! I went through and found ' 000 I (thought) I had deleted, such as discounts, groupon emails etc.

So I checked and it looks like I have delete on my iPhone or Mac and then empty the trash, somehow it still remains on the Gmail online server. I don't want to.

I do not know what IMAP etc setting stayed, but basically what I want to do is if I delete a Gmail on my Mac or iPhone, then delete the Gmail server, so if I connect online gmail.com, its also deleted from there.

Thank you

It is a 'feature' of Gmail, Apple can not touch anything.

UH... do not delete it. Put stuff in the trash that you don't really want to get rid of is not a good strategy for managing your data.

  • can I delete email on mac accounts and retain their remaining icloud?

can I delete email on mac accounts and retain their remaining icloud?

I'm looking forward clean my OSX and I wondered if I delete accounts on mac, along withh records, etc., do I still have access to them in Icloud. (I don't know which way the sync works)

Unless the e-mail accounts are based icloud.  That is to say, they end in @icloud.com, then without removing the Mac not keep them in iCloud because they are not in first place.

You should always be able to access through their respective clients to Web Mail however.

If they are based iCloud.com, then Yes you can remove form Mac and they are accessible via http://icloud.com by logging into each account there.

  • Lost 9000 pictures after turning on the library of pictures of clouds and deleting on iphone. How do I get back them?

    Hi all

I have 9000 photos on my iphone 5 s and they are all backed up on my iMac. Tried to transfer pictures 9000 for external hard drive, but took time and never managed (crashes).

Vacation time comes, should as much space on my iphone to take pictures. Think maybe iCloud will be useful. Subscribe to greater ability to iCloud, turned on iCloud photo library on iMac and initiated to iCloud. Never finished. Maybe it's 12-13 June 2016. Then on the last night before departure holiday, maybe 16 June, decided to remove thousands of photos from my iphone in order to free up as much space as possible so that I can take a lot of pictures during the holidays.

I took pictures of 1900 during the holidays.

Returned home, turned on my iMac, see notes on iCloud saying Download 9000 pictures not completed. To be completed July 12.

Today, to my horror, I found that iCloud has only 1900 photos from my vacation. And pictures of 9000 before the holidays went - not on my iMac photo app and not on iCloud (deleted on iPhone, but never expected copies on iMac to be gone too and thought iCloud would have some of them).

Please help, it of all within 30 days or more - need the pictures back. My life in there somehow.

    Thank you and best regards.

    That's the problem.

If you delete photos from your iPhone while you use iCloud photo library on the iPhone, the photos will be deleted icloud photo library and all devices sync with iCloud photo library. It's a synchronization service and not an external storage. ICloud library aims to keep libraries on all perfectly synchronized devices. Any photo that you import syncs to all devices, and any photo that you delete on any device in iCloud and all other devices are removed.

Try to restore the photos on your iMac since the last backup of the Mac you made before you deleted pictures from your iPhone.

The pictures have been completely removed, or are they still in your recently deleted album?  This album will keep the photos for 30 days, if empty you not prematurely.

  • Send text enlarged to the recipient of the mail from the iPhone

Is it possible to have an iPhone mail send enlarged text that one bad lights recipient will see their mail for Mac?

I know that in the accessibility settings, the text can be expanded, but this large does not go to a recipient and is just for the user look at an iPhone.

To test, I sent emails to myself and it was not showing text enlarged on the Mac. Opening the same sent mail on my iPhone, the e-mail has been extended but then if I went to the accessibility and off text expanded, the same e-mail back to normal size.

No it's not - the recipient will use the accessibility feature you mention

  • My verse ATT modem (non apple devices to use this modem} is connected to the ATT line, Time Capsule (iPhones, Macs Time Capsule use) via ethernet Uverse.) Non apple devices can collect data from iPhones or Mac using the time Capsule?

My verse ATT modem ({use of devices not apple wifi of this modem} is connected to the ATT line, Time Capsule (iPhones, Macs use the wifi of the time Capsule) and connect to the Uverse modem via ethernet.)

Both devices are set to the highest security and each uses separate passwords.

Non apple devices can collect data from iPhones or Mac using the time Capsule?

With a bit of work by someone who knows how to do such things, not Apple computers could read some files on the Mac if file sharing is configured on the network... devices non-Apple and... He knew the device passwords or administrator for Macs.

Mac could also play the files on other Macs if file sharing has been implemented and the device password or admin was known.

If you ask if a PC can read the files on the Time Capsule, the answer is Yes, without doubt, assuming that the PC knew the password of device for the time Capsule.

  • I can not access Mail at all.  The app looks open but I have no spectators (Inbox etc) happens so I can't see any mail either.  The provider is OK because I'm receiving and sending mail on my iPhone and iPad.  All of the suggestions.  El Capitan is update

I'm running an iMac mid-2007, with El Capitan updated 10.11.2 and Mail I think 9.2. 2.4 GHz and 4 GB of memory.

My problem started yesterday when I wanted to send a letter from Christmas to 32 people, activating a project and try to send it.  Didn't happen, and then things started to get strange.

This AM. After the update to EC 10.11.2 I tried to load Mail.  The program seems open (i.e. the bar at the top - file, window etc.) but no viewer will appear.  No e-mail does appear, now or otherwise.  Have tried everything I know.  Restart the iMac.  Close and open Mail.  Nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Rob

Please stop Mail. Force quit if necessary.

Back up all data before proceeding.

If you use OS X 10.11 ("El Capitan") or version later, triple - click anywhere in the line below on this page to select:

    ~/Library/Mail/V3/MailData

If you use an older version of OS X, use this line:

    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData

Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

    Go ▹ go to folder

in the menu bar. Paste in the box that opens by pressing Command + V, then press return.

A file window opens. In it he must be files with names as follows:

    Index of the envelope

    ExternalUpdates.storedata

Move these files to the desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder can have names more long that begin as above. Move these files, if any, in the trash.

Mail recovery. It should invite you to re - import your messages. You can get a warning that the index is corrupted and that Mail must quit smoking. Click OK. Generally speaking, the process takes a few minutes, but this can take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In this case, you will be able to speed things up temporarily by adding your file to the list of personal information protection in the Spotlight preferences pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.

If the import operation stalls or fails with an error message, quit Mail, delete the two new index files (maintenance of the original that you moved to the desktop) and try again. According to several reports, the second attempt can succeed if one does not.

Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files that you moved to the desktop. If not, post your results.
