    Hi DadVQ,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

This problem occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This problem can also be caused by a virus.

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below and check if the problem still persists.

Cannot find the Rundll32.exe file when you open Control Panel

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812340

Method 2: If the problem persists, I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While hard disk analysis if bad sectors are found when scanning try to repair this area, all available on which data can be lost.

  • What is slp_dd_hathi_110_017.exe and how do I?

    Hi-

I was repairing a corrupted install of Windows XP on a Dell laptop, and as part of what I have been reinstalling and updated the drivers for my Photosmart C7280.  I went to HP and Support drivers for my printer and OS, and methodically downloaded software page everything listed there except the beam of IT professionals.  Then after a pause of a few hours I came back and immediately after their installation, starting with the full set of features, and then the different update packages in order of the date of the release.  While doing this I had to return to the web page for each download to match the name of the file with the date of its release.

When I was installing all the updates that are listed, I discovered that I had a file that has not been listed: slp_dd_hathi_110_017.exe.  I went ahead and installed without thinking, then started getting nervous because I didn't know what it was, or how he got there.  (My brain is fried hard to rebuild this machine).

After many the web search and the HP support site, I found a post in this forum related to a file of the same name on ftp.hp.com: slp_dd_hathi_hpu_110_008.exe.  Then I searched the ftp site and found two separate copies of the file that I downloaded, but I still don't know what it is and how I got it.  Has been published on the support page when I was doing the downloads and removed at the time that I started to install?  What is a good update?  What is - this and why it is not listed with the other updates?

    Thanks for any help...

    Raoul,

This file is the second element in the section "Update" the software page and drivers for the C7280.  The title is "Critical Update to enhance reliability of network and USB connectivity and improve system responsiveness when printing".  The URL of the download page is http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-65961-4&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=3204785.

  • How can I locate and remove malware from my Windows XP laptop?

Last week, my Windows XP laptop (at work) became infected with one or several programs of virus and malware (including a program of Netsky).

I ran my McAfee virus scan and removed the virus that we found.  When the Netsky pop-ups started to happen, I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (mbam - setup.exe) by following the instructions in our IT Department.  When the Netsky guest continued, I have downloaded and run W32.Netsky FixTool of Symantec 1.13.0 who stopped the guests.

This morning, I met 'Update KB977165' failure in the startup problem.  From what I read this problem seems to be limited to "infected" computers  I just finished rerunning McAfee and Symantec Malwarebytes with no infections found.

My COMPUTER service feels that the mbam - setup.exe should have solved the problem.  Whenever I look at using malicious software removal on the internet, I get more ads for questionable software applications than anything.

Is there a detection and removal of malware simple tool that doesn't cost a fortune (as FREE)?

  • How to fix the driver NTSOKRNL.exe and Atheros?

I recently installed a clean version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 and he immediately began to malfunction. I go back to the NTSOKRNL.exe and Athrx.sys drivers who, when they do not work it live with your computer, the cause of a malfunction and crashed to a bluescren. Let's all start, I contacted Microsoft to numerous amounts of time (7 times now) and all that they say to call microsoft and use their premium support that starts at $ 99 (which is out of the question I just don't have the money) I tried to call once and told them abuot the question, but they hung up when I said no. And even once when I contacted an agent via chat to support, and they kept insisting to call and I have to use the subscription for my repaired OS.

This is quite unacceptable. I have a genuine version of Windows 7, my computer is also is no longer supported by HP, so I can't send it to their challenge because they want to pay $ 300 to do a clean installation using my version of windows 7. I would also like to make a formal complaint against Microsoft to charge customers who own Microsoft Windows and try to get help, but only are rejected due to the fact we have to pay for advanced support. What * is the following. My HP is a HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx that is a model of 2011-2012. Only, his warranty expired a year ago.

I need help right away, because I can't use my laptop correctly, but also loss of data. For the first 5 attempts they tried to help me solve the problem, but after 5, they say I have to pay, even if Microsoft. I can also afford to use Geek Squad, or any other service to help me with my computer problem. All I want to do is repair Windows 7 without uninstall because it's a bad ISO (I used my friends since HP has no install disks)

  • How to stop Wampmanager.exe and easyphp to run after uninstall wampserver

I've been with wampserver (apache, mysql, and php) for a while now. I needed upgrade of wamp and I am well aware that I need to completely uninstall it before installing the new version, I did. Unfortunately for me, until I installed the new version, after that Setup and it has not worked, I uninstalled, redownloaded, tried again. Finally, verified the wamp forum was packed with complaints about the x 64 version was a corrupted file. So I installed the 32 bit version to use temporarily. The next day, the new version has been released. So I installed and decided to check out the forum before going any further.

No more complaints about the bugs. Finally, I decided that since the new wampserver has so many bugs, I'd rather stay here. I installed EasyPHP. Then I saw wampmanager.exe (0 2 services performed) in my taskbar properties. so I uninstalled easyphp.

Long story short, I think that somewhere throughout this frustration, I forgot to stop the server (wampserver) before uninstalling. And Yes, I cleaned my registry of all things wamp after each uninstall.

Now, when I click on the taskbar properties, I see wampmanager.exe and EasyPHP, but neither are installed. (Wampmanager.exe initially says '0 2 running services', but I was able to reinstall, and then stop the service and uninstall.) Now only says: wampmanager.exe). I tried a system restore, reinstall, uninstall. How can I get these 2 to stop smoking? Help please!
