MAN B - ACD sounds no response

Hello

I have tests the functionality of ACD - B in the CME and have a bit of confusion about how it behaves.

I have a Setup/ACD-company to ring phones (more long inactivity).

Is there a way to get to where the caller hears not ring until a phone agent answers similar to UCCX behavior?

If a phone agent is an appeal and this appeal was directly to their extension and not the ACD/hunt-group, the grouping of positions-ACD/try always return a call, even if they are on the phone. It is originally the call waiting signal that can happen to the officer and the appellant to hear ringing; should not the grouping of positions-ACD/see their extension is in use and not give them a call or knows only on calls that were delivered to the ACD/hunt-group?

Configure this appeal under ephone-hunting.

  • WANT to 7640 e - all - in - one printer: printer prints directly from scanning screen except on/off again.

It is a machine purchased in the last 6 weeks.  No problem of implementation.  It prints beautifully our computers/devices.  Initially all the printing (computers, screen and paper is inserted) worked perfectly.  Starting last week, twice when I tried to insert a page to print, the paper stuck, and I had to carefully remove under the rollers.  Then I tried to print a page directly from the hard screen - the printer 'stunned', as it was printing, but nothing appeared.  I pressed the 'X' to stop the operation, has opened the lid, removed the paper and the small round icon kept spinning, spinning, spinning.  I was unable to turn off the printer, (it would have not responded to efforts by pressing the 'power' button) called the hotline (contain a record 45 minutes and transferred twice).  A man extraordinarily annoyed-sounding told me that the problem was that we had plugged the printer on a "power strip".  So I unplugged the printer from the power strip and directly into the wall, turned on the printer and could not reproduce the problem.   During the week, twice, to get the printer to print from the screen, I had to turn the machine off and turn on again.  Today, I printed my computer successfully, then immediately tried to make a copy directly from the screen.  Same problem - had to press 'X' to stop the machine because the printer was not print, then had to turn off the entire printer / disable again seized printed the screen successfully.  I didn't call the helpline because I only have 45 minutes to lose :-)  Please let me know if I need to provide additional information, and I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.  A whole new machine should not give these problems!  Thank you!

  • Phone call saying that I am entitled to a refund?

Today I received a phone call from a man with an Indian accent calling himself Andy Smith. He said he was calling from the "Centre de Service Windows", its identification number has been WT0208 (standing WT for Windows technical) he told me that I was entitled to a refund of $241 AUS and I thought scam? But I went with it, he made me get this link off www.teamviewer.com and open it and then tell him the ID and the password, then forced me to go to Western union and click on send money. At this point, I thought "wow take a minute now, why I send money when I'm the one to receive the refund? He said that, because I've been connected to them through teamviewer to send them, I had to make an account and have at least 300 books in my account. At this point, I got really over and told him do not call me again and hung up.

I'm sure it was a scam, but I just wanted to check, someone else had the same?

Hello this message comes from the Netherlands. My mother-in-law received a call from the same 'gentleman', a man of Indian sounding named Andy, who told him that she could not use his laptop computer, but that he would help her through difficulties. Luckely my mother-in-law had the sense to say; I'll call my son in law and you can call in 5 minutes back. I get in a few minutes and the 'gentleman', called once again, he talked to my mother in law and she said. Here's someone for you. So I told the man, I was of the Dutch police, cubercrime and wanted his full name and company name. No No, he wanted to talk to Mrs....? . He didn't know the name of my mother in law. So I asked him again for his name and company and that he stopped the call. His name was Andy from Microsoft and he called a number in Holland 0243840015. When I tried to call this number it responds. I think the number is used as a decoy. Maybe someone can do something with this information.

    can I find somehow?

    Hello

The Net is full of scams like the one you describe.

Either they want you sell software without value or plant spyware to steal banking passwords and / or make an identity theft on you.

You should never give someone at - it remote access to your computer.

And if you already have an Antivirus installed, you do not install another AV before removing the first.

More than one AV installed will cause system problems.

Here is the link to the AVG removal tool:

    http://www.Avg.com/ww-en/utilities

But my advice to you is to backup your data and reinstall the operating system.

It's the only way you'll know for certain that you deleted something they've installed.

Also change the banking and credit card details / passwords with your credit card company, Bank.

    See you soon.

A got a call yesterday from a man of Asian-sounding. He told me he was from 'Windows' and that he would fix my problem of spam (I had - 47 that day) he seemed to know what he was talking about so I went with him, pressing the various keys by following the instructions at one point, he was in control of my computer screen. He then told me I could have the problem fixed for $190. I then told her that I didn't it was authentic and hung up.

My computer is an old Dell doesn't work on Windows XP. I turned on later but could not access the main screen. Instead, I get a small pop-up window titled "Windows XP Startup Password", asks me to insert a password. I never had to use a password before, so might not be consistent. It seems that my computer has been corrupted, nothing that I delete this pop-up window, cannot use the computer. Anyone have any idea what I can do?

Cannot follow your advice. Do not have access to the desktop, just a blue screen with a small window asking for a boot password, which of course, I don't know.

    Thanks anyway

You are welcome, but you have misunderstood my advice, so let me clarify
    She:
What I recommended is to perform a clean reinstall of Windows.
To do this, you don't need access to the office. What you need to do
is to boot from the Windows installation CD and follow the prompts for a
    clean install.

Note that when you do this, you will lose all your data files and all the
you program facilities. To recover, you need to restore
your saved data and reinstall all of your programs from their
    original media.

If you do not have a backup, you can remove the drive from the computer
and install it as an external drive to a friends computer. Then, you
    can copy all data files.

In another message that you say "Unfortunately, I am an old man and not very.
clued up on computers. "First, I would like to say that I am an old man too (77).
Maybe older than you, and I know very well that computers. Even us old
    guys can learn computers.

But more importantly, what you're saying, what I recommend above is
likely to be above your skills. If you need to seek the help of a
a friend who has the more skills you have.

If you can't find a qualified friend, you will pay for
professional help.  Avoid the Geek Squad (and any big-box store) as
the plague. They are among the worst places to use for
    repair of computers or advice.

Instead, find your self a little local place that is recommended by
other members of your community (for example, if you have a group of PC users)
in town, they can probably give you a good recommendation).

One last point: If you do not have a backup, you've played with
the fire. Almost everyone should be back up regularly. It is always
possible a disk hard crash, error of the user, near the lightning,
virus attack, even stolen computer, may result in loss of
everything on your drive. As it has often been said, it is not a question of
If you have a problem, but when.

  • problem with obtaining security (Spy - Bot and SuperAntiSpyware) to run or install applications

I made a mistake. It was preventable, and I knew that I made the mistake, but the curiosity is sometimes too strong.

The result was once I downloaded and "installed" an update to adobe flash player (who turns out be a virus), SpyBot S & D and SuperAntiSpyware would not open their main windows.

First of all, to treat the virus, I immediately shut down the computer. I had to do a force quit. I rebooted and never even got the screen that would allow me to boot into safe mode. I forced stop again, and this time, I unplugged the computer and removed the battery (it's a laptop). I noticed that the battery indicator has continued to do is market / stop flashes a few times more before, he finally stopped.

I put the battery, plug the computer back in and started upward. This allowed me to go in safe mode, and I used that to do a restore to the last control point, which was yesterday morning. I caught the virus last night at about 17:30 or more.

Which seems to work, but I have had a recurring problem since then. When I start up I get a message about an application that need to access a protected file. I keep clicking Cancel, because the window looks like a window of Win 2000, and I've never seen this message before. The application is named A with a highlight (as opposed to a line of underscores).

In addition to this, I had to uninstall SpyBot S & D both SuperAntiSpyware because neither would open their main eindow and I would like to do a scan. I downloaded the installers again and tried to reinstall the two of them.

SpyBot installed, but I still can't get the main window to open. SupeAntiSpyware will not install. The installation program will not even start. I'm sure that all of these things are related to this virus, because I didn't have these problems before you download.

I ran Microsoft online virus and spyware last night. It has taken nearly 6 hours to complete the scan and found 7 problems, which I allowed to remove. The problem persists, because I still can't install SAS and SBS & D stil open its main window.

What can I do to fix this? This is an image of the window that asks permission to access a protected file:http://wolf3dmall.zxq.net/PNG/what.png

The virus file is contained. At first, when I double-clicked it, the file that I downloaded disappeared from my file my received files. After I got the system working again, I returned, set bookmark the pages concerned, re-uploaded the file, immediately the file zipped and deleted the file. I'm not sure who to send to find out what kind of virus it is, but he's a bad guy.

I will try to provide more information, if necessary.

    PC: HP/Compaq nx9020 laptop
    OS: Windows XP Professional SP3

    Thank you.

What security software you are using (McAfee, Norton, Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, etc.)?  The provider of your AV program probably offers a facility to submit files infected for analysis.

Your computer is still infected - and the virus or other malware interferes with SuperAntiSpyware and other remedies.

Have you tried Malwarebytes?  The infection may prevent you to install and run Malwarebytes.  However, you can sometimes overcome this problem by disguising Malwarebytes, so that the virus cannot recognize the program.  You'll find a great set of instructions at http://tech.amikelive.com/node-144/tdss-trojan-and-bediddle-adware-removal-guide. Although the instructions refer to the TDSS Trojan, you can use the same procedure to remove the other infections.

You can also try a different approach, that might work. Try to connect to www.eset.com/online-scanner and perform an online scan.  If that does not work, in Mode safe mode with networking and try again.

I have AVG but it has expired. I've been unemployed for a couple of years now, and I have no money to pay for the renewal of the contract with. I used SpyBot S & D and SuperAntiSpyware as my main defense since my AVG expired. I also try to make a habit of od stay away from sites known to the virus.

It was my own stupidity, and I guess I deserve it, but I want to just fix this. I keep hope that something will change, and I'll get a job again, but so far nada. I can't really afford to lose this computer. It's been 6 years, and if he dies, I'm in a world of pain.

I will try your suggestion and I'll post here what is happening.

    Thank you.

Edit: I downloaded Malwarebytes, following the instructions on the site you provided. I ran the scan in safe mode, and it has found 19 problems. Then, when I rebooted, the guest even appeared requesting permission to access a protected file. I ran the scan again in normal mode, and it found nothing.

After the restart again (the first analysis took less than an hour and a half, and the second scan took more than 3 hours), Yahoo Messenger started to run as soon as I got this stupid window again. I don't know what to think. My computer * seems * still works ok, but SpyBot S & D will not open its main window, and SuperAntiSpyware installer does not always. I will try reinstalling SpyBot again, but I am not sure that this thing is fixed.

Unfortunately, no security software cannot be never 100% effective. Even if you have up-to-date protection AV, "bad guys" can always get through.  The absence of a comprehensive antivirus program with updated definition files increases the risk of significantly.

While Spybot S & D and SuperAntiSpyware to your arsenal useful additions, they do not provide the full AV protection or resident and are totally unsuitable for primary protection.

With Spybot S & D, you must also perform a manual update at intervals of a week, followed by vaccination.  Once you have run the weekly 'vaccination', Spybot S & D uses standard Windows and the browser to block access to known malicious Web sites. However, the key word is "known." The 'search and destroy' service manual can remove some infections and the option "TeaTimer" feature provides additional protection against unauthorized to your registry changes.  However, Spybot S & D does not have a complete AV protection and cannot protect against many infections initial.

SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes are tools for deletion, which are very good to eliminate infections who missed the other utilities.  Unfortunately, they cannot protect against the initial infection.

The infection of your computer interferes with SuperAntiSpyware. Try the portable version of SAS (seehttp://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/3424-superantispyware-portable).

So, if you have not already done so, please perform an online scan, using www.eset.com/online-scanner?  You can also try the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner.  Learn tips to www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Shared/Help.aspx#infected

You must also replace the version of AVG expired subscription with adequate antivirus protection.  The free version of AVG, the free version of Avast OR Microsoft Security Essentials free program would be alternative appropriate.

Please note that you must have only one AV program reside on your computer, so it is important to eliminate all traces of your old AV program, before installing a replacement.  You will find tools to remove AVG at www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools.  If you have already used McAfee or Norton on your computer, you should also download and run these emissions removal tools.

Unfortunately, there is a risk that the infection could prevent or interfere with the installation of any other anti-virus program.  This is why I recommended a scan online, before you remove the subscription version of AVG or install a replacement antivirus software.

If you install Avast, you must perform a complete analysis standard, followed by an analysis of 'Boot', which will check your computer when you re - start in Windows.  (A Boot scan can remove infections that are hidden, after Windows starts).

I have SuperAntiSpyware and SpyBot S & D to work. I followed the same convention that I used with MalwareBytes. I've renamed South spybot and its opening. I installed SAS as sup and it worked as well. Even after using both of them, which resulted in the SAS, but not in Spybot, the window requesting the ever-present authorization, usually at the time that yahoo Messenger connects to the network.

I'll follow your suggestions. I wasn't aware that AVG has a free version. When I bought the installation I have now, it's because the only 'free' version, that I could find was a trial version that only lasted 30 days. I can't replace my anti-virus every 30 days, just because I can't pay for protection. A man who even sounds like extortion. :(

This seems to be the correct approach.  However, Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware did not remove the infection, and I fear that the malware prevents the installation of updated AV protection.  I hope that you will be able to install the free version of AVG, and if so, I hope that it will remove the infection.

I recommend also to download and install a utility named 'Hijack this'-http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis.  Run "HijackThis.exe" to generate a log file and save the log to a directory on your hard drive.  Do not try to use HijackThis to fix the infection.

At this point, you will need additional assistance which I am not qualified to provide.  However, there are a number of Web sites that are occupied by volunteer experts who can offer help step by step.

Register for a free account on www.bleepingcomputer.com and click on the Forums tab.  Forums security scroll and select the forum "Virus, Trojan, Spyware and Malware Removal Logs".  Create a new thread and view the details of your problem.  You also paste the full text to hack this journal in your inquiry.

You may need to wait a few days.  However, one of the Bleeping Computer experts will analyze the log and I hope, will be able to provide removal of the step by step instructions.

Hello, I love to give the music to my videos with Smart Sound Sonicfire. It works perfect in first 11 elements. So before buying 14 items first, I would like to know, if this still works with Smart Sound.

    Sorry for my bad English!

First 14 elements has no interface directly with SmartSound, like older versions of the program. The program now includes Scores, that is Adobe tool for the creation of custom music titles.

However, if you copy a piece of music for SonicFire as a WAV, you will be able to import that WAV in your Premiere Elements project.

  • Flat frequency response

I probably wouldn't ask this question because I charge people for my amateur obviously recording capabilities but it's one I've ever had explained to me and I need to know the answer to one...

I would like to settle the matter in this way:

When you get in the car and pop in a cd of product professionly, most of the people get the control treble for 6-10 (on a scale of 10) and bass (4-10) upwards according to the factory speakers and the type of material and whether or not they care what their music sounds like. When you get home and you listen much finer stereo home always to listen to professionally produced album, always reach you for these high and low buttons and crank them several notches or if you have a graphic equalizer twist you on a smiling face .

There is so much importance in the world of recording to get out of your room with shock absorbers flat frequency response and bass intercepts and spread around the reflections with deflectors, etc etc... etc., we spend thousands of dollars on such things and some measurement software to make sure that it is flat. Then we use this flat response to produce music that sounds good and waiting for the translation of these cd players and home stereo systems.

(I will additonally Preface my question by saying that I had no problems to make my music to translate my home studio to any other system of reading, but I'm a little confused as to what is happening.)

Now finally my question (s), when we reach for these buttons high and low on our car and home reading systems, are we really just try to compensate for the lack of bass and top of the range in these systems so that we can get a flat frequency response and too make the music sound good on any system?     or

Do we as listeners prefer the face smiley in music frequency response and are we take a cd that has a flat frequency response and make a smiley face out of it to make it sound to our ears? (Please don't give me an answer for material/gender.)

The reason why I ask is because I have to put a graphic equalizer on my monitors 2031A truth to make professional stuff sound good thanks to them and then I Mix round my music for the same material/any sound of course. (I'm not really interested in any monitor bashers or I would already put this on to Gearslutz.)

Even once be reformulated... The masses think that music sounds good when you have a flat frequency response or the smiling face and if the these States among young people, how are supposed to realize that when the facility from our home studio produces a flat frequency response, do give us our EQS instructors like me?

Additonaly, I understand that when talking about frequency response flat in the rooms, that we are not talking about launch thanks to a system sine waves and the going of their frequencies, measure so them we can detect everything on the focus/deficiencies in the room then maybe this question is a little more to the tuning monitor.

If you are looking for Fletcher and Munson in Google, you could start to do a little the beginning of any idea why this is not quite as simple as it seems... and I'm not sure I can give you a complete answer, although I peut give you a few things connected but somewhat randomly, to meditate wearing my acoustician Hat:

The fundamental problem is that, when things are quieter (and less distorted, by the way) our ears get more sensitive to frequencies medium, and if we listen to music like that, it always sounds as if the bass and treble are unbalanced. In cars, it is slightly different though; the frequency response of everything that is there generally tends to be anything but flat - and often too emphasizes the middle range anyway. Treble tends to be absorbed very easily in padded cars, and because most car speakers got nothing as acceptable to the tweeters in order in General, it is not surprising that people want to increase the treble. As for the bass - well I am still lower that personally, but I know what you mean in principle!

If by a "commercial" CD, you mean the one where the voice is important, so yes I can easily imagine why you could as naturally want to increase the response to the extreme - that makes sense, if you think about it. The mid-range voice is prominent and probably compressed, so its average level is stronger support - helps it stand out. But also it distorts the overall time response - support can be balanced so it's not serious in itself, but which does not always if you have the wrong applied voice settings, or at the very least, applied said. And some voices are much worse; for example Sealion dying (AKA Celine Dion) makes the most appalling racket in the middle range, and you should certainly less of it!

So, really, I would say that it is not a question of bass/treble, but a mid-range one. If you look at commercial CD in general, you tend to find that the energy distribution is pretty even on the entire audio band, which means it comes off at 6 dB/octave, if you look in hearing (it is something energy/Hz), but in reality most of the CD these days are here mixed a little brighter than that - more like a - 3 dB/octave descendant of about 1 kHz , and it is partly to make up for a lot of things - some of which are cars... You have to watch out for the problem of good distortion - most people don't realize, but you are able to tolerate rather high undistorted sound anything with levels of serious distortion in it, and if this distortion is in the middle range, then you will like it more quiet even when. Then under-run decent, over-rated sound systems always sound more clean and strong but you should beware - they can damage your ears just as much, if not more.

Car interiors they increase the chances of the mid-range boost that occur?  I think it's a pretty safe bet they do, in General, simply due to the size and the acute problem, I've already mentioned. And if you try to compensate for too much mid range, then the rest follows. More home replay systems these days seem to be heavy mid-range for me as well - I heard something cheap recently which was something as a flat - response and they really agrees that they are in both chambers.

If you want to listen to material as it really should be, then you need to experience it live first, and then I would say do a direct comparison with what you hear in your monitors. I'm lucky - I can do fairly regularly with a variety of materials. I tend to leave things like dish, as they are saved? Well, it depends on what it is. If it is somehow classical, then sometimes I watch carefully the low balance, but generally, I leave the rest alone. The rest of our days I just get its good - and this can mean all sorts of settings, depending on all sorts of things. More and more, I came to the conclusion that medium too is not necessarily a good thing – but it's mainly because of the general lack of good material around these days.

Regarding the monitors and flatness - well it is not really a problem for most people, compared with obtaining their correct listening environment. If you have a pair of cheap monitors in a good room, chances are the results will sound better than a cheap pair in a room uncorrected - despite what all fans of monitor on gearslutz might say. Nowadays, even the least expensive may seem quite respectable. But the flatness is not really a problem with the monitors - a decent impulse response and low distortion are much more important. Chances are that if a manufacturer got that right, the monitor will be properly 'revelation' anyway - which is what a monitor is supposed to do.

The only thing you do not do however, is QE the stream of your monitors - that went out of fashion, as soon as he came in--fortunately. You can set the room so that it is the most truthful. If you EQ the battery monitor, it will inevitably be only its good in one place in the room, and it's no use to man nor beast. Things only decent that can do real room correction systems is to equalize the immediate response of time to account for what is actually between you and monitors which if done properly can improve an image without end stereo.

If the answers? Well not really. But at least I explained a bit (but not all) of the questions.

  • video iPod 5.5 generation, Sound of Dock - None of helmet

    Hello

I've been browsing the forum here among others trying to figure that this somewhat strange question out and I finally decided to see if anyone here has an answer. I recently bought an iPod video 5.5 opportunity generation 30 GB (A1136, model #: PA446LL, SN: * V9N) out of craigslist. The iPod seems to be fully functional, aesthetically and hardware wise. Up to what I tried to listen to a song via the headset. To my surprise, there was no sound coming through the socket. If I turned the volume all the way to the top, I could hear a slight static noise (not related to music), so I guess that is under tension. I read online that this can be caused by welding cracked on the audio decoder or dac, so I tried pinching right/bottom right corners without changing the static at all. Thinking that I had just bought a broken iPod, I tried to play this music even through my car stereo receiver using the dock/usb connection and it worked perfectly. A little confused at this point, I took the thing out and inspected the cable jack and Ribbon of the helmet, the motherboard and audio chips. Everything went perfectly well, including headphones and cable, it was not folded connections inside and it was clean. I tried to press the chips on the motherboard, while playing music once more it is taken apart and it was not even a change of the static (when volume is 100%). I tried various headsets/headphones and with each of them, as you are connected to the socket you can hear precisely the left channel and then the right gets their power.

I've read only a few cases of this particular issue happening and the response to each of them was to get a replacement headphone plug. I am skeptical to do what I can hear both channels is fed fine, there is no audio. I ask if someone who has some expertise on this motherboard (820-1975-A) knows where the problem lies (audio impeccable out Dock but headphone jack has absolutely nothing). I have the tools needed for soldering and re-flow if necessary.

    I tried the things:

    -Different headphones/earphones

-Cleaning of the headphone jack/re-seating the ribbon cable

-Tighten more integrated chips while music played

-The 5 'R' apple suggests (including restoring w / mac & windows several times).

-Different file formats (ALAC, MP3, WAV (16-bit, 44.1 kHz))

    -Hard reboots

-Possibility of other things I don't forget

Things I'm NOT willing to do:

    -Return to the craigslist seller

-Apple call / go to an Apple store for a replacement

-Buy a new logic board (I understand the one I may be impossible to fix)

I appreciate your time and I hope that the heart of this problem can be highlighted!

    -Pintsizemacman

    Bump, still having the issue.

  • No sound from my Nano Gen 7

Have had my 7th Gen for a few years. Used only a few times at home, not in the dust. It is in a case of dust all this time. It had sat unused, battery exhausted for about 2 years. Today, that I firstly, charged battery. Then it turned on, went to the music listening and no sound.

Everything else works. All the function, settings, podcasts, clock, I had to reset but now works. Its all just not making helmets, I guess.

I reset, several times restored via iTunes on my PC. Both devices are running the current software. The volume control works on screen, volume limit is not, I bought several songs today, others were purchased when I arrived at the unit. The last time that I used it, its worked. Tried 3 different ear pods, no sound of Nano, but the sound of the iPhone.

I followed all the troubleshooting topics in the User Guide. I hope that someone here is smarter that the guide or knows a trick.

    Thank you!
