Manage rules

I just put a new Web Monitoring Agent on our servers, and I alert us if she sees that the site is down.  This has been working great, but we have been has recently informed the daily interview is done.  What I would do, to avoid the setting up of a blackout window, would be to set the interval for the agent to run and fail twice before send us an alert.  Currently, the agent runs every 5 minutes and if it fails once so I don't want to be alerted, but if it fails twice, then I am sure something is wrong.  I'm sure that there is a way to do it, but I'm having a hard time finding the instructions on this site and I'm sure that my lack of knowledge with groovy scripts is not help.  So, if anyone can point me in the right direction to add an exception or an increase to my alert script I would be your debt.

Thank you

Chris

Chris,

Under rule management, look for the tab called behavior because it provides controls you are looking for.

Policies automatically goes to "off" If you have your screen as working RGB profile - what is something that you should never do. Always have a standard space like RGB work.

And Yes, "preserve embedded profiles" is the only sensitive parameter. Others are best for special purposes where you really know what you are doing - at worst they will transform your archive in a unrecoverable mess.

  • Unable to deploy calc manager rule attrbuts in 11.1.2.1

I'm unable to validate/deploy a rule of calc Manager in 11.1.2.1. This rule is also developed as a calc script and gets validated/executed successfully.
This is a custom currency conversion script

    Sample

    IF (@ISMBR (@Attribute ("b_CNY")))
    "USD" = "Currency" / "Avg_Rate"-> "CNY";

    ELSEIF...

    ENDIF

Do we know if this a bug known?

    Thank you

It used to be a bug that @attribute could not be validated, perhaps useful to check patch to see if it is still attached.

  • LCM: Basic rules Calc Manager vs planning files

I need rule of LCM files and see the rules in 2 different locations, Foundation-> Manager of Calc and planning-> rule files. That is the right file where LCM, and what is the difference between them?

In addition, files that were brought by the spectacle of LCM under planning-> rule files but non Foundation-> Manager of Calc. Why would it be?

    Thank you!

    FA

To do this, you need to understand the underlying design. Unlike HBR, who acted as the repository of rules in Calc Manager, rules must be deployed at Calc Manager planning. Once the rule is deployed to planning, it (planning) maintain the copy of the rule in its repository. You can continue to make changes to your rules in calc Manager and there is no effect on the rule in planning.

So for LCM, you will have the rules in 2 places, in Calc Manager (version may differ from what is in the schedule) and also in planning.

So you can import via LCM planning rules and it will run without calc in Picture Manager. But if you want to change these rules and deploy it to the planning, you must import the rule via lcm in Calc Manager and redeploy to the schedule.

  • HFM Calc Manager of rules does not appear through excerpts-> elements of the application

    Dear team,

We have management rules defined in application consolidation HFM EPMA but during extraction through the workspace using snippets-> Application parts, few of them make their appearance, but not all.

That's why I wonder that all Manager cal rules are run in the context of Consolidation or not. Please provide steps to check whether or not all the rules of calc manager associated with the application.

According to my understanding, Manager of calc rules should extract through the workspace using snippets-> elements of Application please confirm if my interpretation is correct or not.

    We are om EMP 11.1.2.3

Your immediate response is much appreciated.

    Thank you

Hello. Check in the Calc Manager that the desired rules are rule groups that are marked for deployment. If the rules are not in a set of rules, or rules in some rulesets not marked for deployment, then the rules will be not responsible for HFM.

    Kind regards

  • How to migrate EAS Business Rules for Calc Manager in 11.1.2.1 (without using EPMA)

    Hi all

for the moment, we are on 11.1.2.1 and one more late upgrade scheduled to 11.1.2.3, use Calc Manager rather than the rules Business (EAS). Therefore, I would like to upgrade to business at Calc Manager rules, but without using EPMA (we would still use the classic Planning Administration). I read several documents and sites, but I was unable to find a way to do... Does anyone have a how or documentation about my problem?

    Thank you very much

    André

P.S.: Maybe to make it a bit clearer: I won't spend 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2. I would only use Calc Manager instead of business EAS rules 11.1.2.1 and I couldn't find anything that shows how or if it is possible to migrate from the business rules to Calc Manager (without using EPMA).

You can change the method of calculation of the Manager of Calc application. I replied to your message in the Manager area of Calc.

  • Rules Manager Calc

    Hi all

This question concerns the rules of Calc Manager. I recently migrated rules Manager calc from one environment to the other by using Import/Export in the workspace. The rules were all successfully imported into the target environment, and I see them in the "vision of the system" in the workspace. I now want to assign some of the rules in the form of data so that they are run record in the form of data. When I go to the forms of individual data to fix the rules managing calc ' run while recording "I don't see the calc on the left side Manager rules to push them to the right. I also checked for the rules of 'Administration' - 'manage' - "Enterprise security rule" but I do not see the same rules here. Is there something that I missed during the migration rules or what else could be causing it to?

Please let me know your opinion on this to help me solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    ~ Hervé

We maintain the 2 sets of tables. One for all the objects that are deployed to the planning at some point in time. Mainly under the historical name. You could have made a rule to planning and abolished calc Manager. In this case, the rule will be displayed in the node "Deployed" but not under the node "to be deployed.

When you click on deploy to the application node, we go through the rules that lie beneath the node ' to be deployed"and only deploy these rules that are checked.

So in your case, if these rules under "To be deployed" are not true, you should check those you need to deploy (there is a right-click for all select and deselect all) then right click on the application node and make a deployment.

Export/import (depending on where you exported) may not bring in the status of rules marked for deployment from one system to the other.

Do not hesitate to ask even if you think they are stupid... :))

  • Manager location rules - file Calc?

We use planning 11.1.2.2, just patched calibre.303.
I'm trying to restore a backup of LCM application.
Import fine forms and business rules say that they are correctly imported (form of State in successful said LCM). But when I open the Calc Manager, rules are nowhere to be seen.
I tried to open a rule of a different application and "save under" a rule which should be in the new application, and I get "an object with the name 'Alloc CBTL for-profit group' already exists. Enter a different name for the object. "That tells me that the import of business rules has work, but why do they not appear in Calc Manager?

So, anyone know if the rules of the company lie in the folder somewhere as a file structure? If Yes, where?

    Thank you
    Robert

Sorry to be confusing, I'm good enough for that :)
Newspaper in Shared Services, expand Foundation, you will see calculation Manager, select and expand the planning, and you should see the apps and under each application all the Manager of computing artifacts for this planning an application.
You must export the artifacts Calc Manager as well as planning request those, they are separate products, it can be done in one single time using the tabs and then click Export.
If you have a reading of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_migrate_planning_app.pdf, it should give you a good idea.

  • Rule vs PL/SQL Manager

    Experts of hell,

I have recently seen Oracle feature called "Manager rules. Now, I have tried on several examples, but compared to PL/SQL programming, she sews uncomplicated. Is there a reason to use "Rules Manager" instead of PL/SQL? Are there advantages to solve the problems in this way? For example, if you have a problem that can be solved with the two methods you prefer?

    Best regards

It solved the same problem with the rules and without. My question is what would be better?

OK it's clearer now. Well the non-regles of PL/SQL example is not really a solution to a rules engine is - this? It is to rewrite the code when the rule is changed. And as the example is simple, first of all, that it does not fully demonstrate the impact of rewriting a lot of code as many times as the rule change.

Why you would choose one over the other.

If I needed to build an application that allows you to apply business rules that are known to be flexible and must be changed regularly, I would try to use rule Manager instead of rewriting the code each time a modified rule.
