Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver update?

Hello, yesterday I had a problem with my HP Envy 15 t-j100 suddenly it became slow mortal! a similar behavior after I reinstall windows 8.1 and during this time, installation of the Driver Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) located in the list of drivers for my laptop (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=6521... the problem.

Yesterday, I reinstalled the driver again and which solves the problem, I was wondering is there an update for this driver anywhere? I tried HP Support Assistant with the Intel Driver utility (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/) no luck so far.

The thing is that I don't want to deal with this problem every two months.

Thank you.

Hello:

There is a updated driver of MEI.  I don't know if that will fix the problem or not well.

This business model is the same chipset and processor than your series.

    Hello

The "Intel Management Engine Interface" is a part of the VPro technology from intel.

This IMEI technology allows you to manage your remote pc.

You can download the update of the driver for your chipset.

  • CQ2909E0 - Intel Management Engine Interface driver for Windows 7

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 on my desktop CQ2909E0, but need me a "PCI Simple communications controller" and the Ethernet controller. I think I must install the com controller before I can install the ethernet controller. It is; I can't find the right driver for the PCI card.

    Please notify.

You should be able to use software HP and Driver Downloads page of the desktop HP Pavilion p2 - 1117 c. This unit and your, use the same motherboard basis and therefore most of the drivers should work on your computer.

Simple Communication controller is the Intel Management Engine Interface driver and the ethernet controller is Atheros network controller driver. The rest of the driver should work as well.

  • How can I reinstall the Intel Management Engine Interface?

Hey there. I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 13, i5 and have some problems with the boot and sleep.

Startup problem: it takes 30 sec - 1 min at startup and display the Lenovo logo and the rotating circle

Pépin to sleep: the most of the time, if I close the lid for more than 20 seconds and open it again the screen starts flashing and then the computer shuts off.

So I tried the problem to resolve these issues, which lead me to the "Device Manager" where I have a past by each element and check for driver updates. Surprisingly, there were about 5-6 required. But the "Intel Management Engine Interface" did not work. The first time, it gave me an error and the second time (he had always the sign of error small triangle on yellow), he said that all the drivers are up to date. In my reading of the internet, some people were saying that the most recent update for this chipset was causing problems (ver.11) and that I should downgrade to version 9. So I uninstalled the driver, and then (I have a feeling that it was my mistake) also uninstalled the "Intel Management Engine Interface" how it disappeared from my list of 'Device Manager '. But when I tried to install the driver again for version 9 the error that appears is "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Worm. 11 also gives me an error (even if I don't remember right now).

I have scowered the internets and found nothing even come close to answering that question. Any help appreciated.

As a side note, I also have some freezing problems when I plug in the power adapter, even if I think that maybe I should ask this question in another post...

Fixed. She appeared again in the device again Manager and I was able to do the downgrade. Don't know if I've seen a much improved...

  • How to fix error code 10 in Intel(r) Management engine interface

Device Manager reports an error code 10 for device of the EMI. Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5. I already tried to install the new driver, did not work... Reinstallation does not work either.

    Hello

    Did you change your computer?

    Method 1:

The Code 10 error code is generated when the Device Manager has not enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

What operating system do you use?

Unless the laptop is used in a managed corporate network (IE, if it's your personal computer) you can safely disable the engine Intel AMT in the bios.  (and uninstall the drivers).  This will free up memory as speed up your startup process.

I would like to start by erasing the BIOS (for example, the last message out there):

    1. Reboot and immediately press F2 to open the BIOS Setup

    4. Power button press / hold for about 15 seconds

  • Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c - lack of driver Intel engine Interface

    Hello

I had a Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c Windows 7, I see an unknown device in the information system. The missing driver appears on PCIdatabase.com as Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver, but I can't find it on the Toshiba site, and when I go to the Intel site there are several versions with no obvious way to tell than I need.

Can someone tell me what version I want or where I can get it?

  • HP Pavilion x 360: back issues of sleep and stop; MEI driver moved

I have upgraded to Windows 10 last summer and, like many people, I had sleep and close issues. The computer wouldn't wake him up after he went to sleep and when I stop the computer the light remained on and the fan will continue running. I was able to fix by updating the graphics card and the driver of MEI.

Windows has released a new update a few days ago and it has been applied automatically to my computer. Now, sleep and shutdown questions have returned.  This time, the graphics card is fully updated, but now I can't downgrade my MEI driver back to version 8.1 of Windows ( 9.5.24.1790 1.5 M ). When I try to install the driver it says 'Setup progam was able to start one or more application processes' and stops. I tried running the installation through Setup of HP and download directly, and none worked.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

Open Device Manager, expand the 'System devices' section, and then find "Intel Management Engine interface", double click it and go to the driver tab, and then click on "roll back driver" button, it will come back to the previous driver.

You can do most any device in the device manager driver.

If roll back driver button is gray, then there is no older driver to restore.
