  Akuma is right. Old laptop models are not supported in Vista. Maybe you will be able to end of some googling arround drivers but toshiba doesn't offer any specific tool of toshiba or utility for this model of laptop.

  You have already installed Vista? What it looks like in Device Manager?

  If you mean what graphics card is inside you can check this in the Device Manager.

  There are no drivers of toshiba for the moment, but you can try to use the generic drivers from the manufacturers of the equipment
  (for example if the soundhardware is a realtek sound card download then www.realtek.com drivers and so on..) and operate the machine with these drivers.

  Yesterday, I recognized a torus (in German, it is called "Riss") in the cover (in German, we say "Deckel") my laptop M60-139.
  This torus push from the opening button approx. 3cm in the middle of the lid. If needed I can send you a picture...

  How to open the LCD screen and the lid to stick the torus of the Interior with a very strong 2-component-epoxy to prevent growth of torus?

• How can I get a hard copy of a manual for Satellite Pro 6000?

  My brother and I bought my father (at age 81) a Satellite Pro 6000 model PS600E-20EE1-EN on E - Bay for Christmas. There is unfortunately no manual with the laptop. I'm in Australia and my father's in the United Kingdom and he asked me to help to get your hands on a paper manual.

  As I don't know anything about Toshiba laptops or point of sale UK, I was wondering if someone could help. I tried for an hour on the net but could not find a manual to download, which seems to correspond to the above specifications. I guess I could make a phone call international to support the customer in the United Kingdom, but thought I'd try here everything first. My dad would really like a paper, in order to download manual is second best option.

  I found the series Satellite L40 PSL40E and L40-139 belongs to this series

  This old notebook was designed for Windows XP Home edition and Toshiba doesn't support these old models of laptops for the new operating system.
  You can be happy if you will get hardware components of basic as audio, display, LAN, WLAN works properly but all the other stuff can be problematic.

  To be honest, you're wrong any problem with drivers. Problem is you are using wrong OS on this old laptop model.

  Let Win7 search of available drivers.
