Manually change the VIEW port number

Our 11.5.9 system simultaneous report ADF, we have started a background service X at the Admin level for running report server. As the UNIX admin request, we must change the port number for X windows. Since it's the production, we have a lot of customization, I want to avoid undate the context file and run the automatic configuration service. Therefore, I tried to change the DISPLAY setting in the files of the environment on levels directly. However, it does not work. Does anyone know what I missed?

Here is the list of the files that I hit.

adcmctl.sh, adrepctl.sh, $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/*.properties on two levels, re - has bounced back after the application.

Thank you

Sean

  • How to manually change the ports for HTTP on the server vCenter Server

    Hello Experts,

We have Windows Server 2008 SP2 machine where we v5.1 installed with other SSO components, inventory services, vCenter Server and Update Manager.

So we went from SSO, the inventory services and vCenter Server fine however, vCenter Server has stopped working. While we were to modernize SSO, the service could not start after the upgrade and the recd suite error "Service VMware KDC service could start.". So, we found the article on the VMware site that said port 88 to cause the problem. To find out more by using the netstat command, we found vpxd.exe used port 88. That is why, we stopped this service and proceeded to the upgrade of the SSO. The upgrade is complete following the inventory service and vCenter Server. While we were upgrading vCenter Server, we found that port 88 was used for HTTP communication.

So we wasted on the use of the port. The upgrade has been completed successfully, however, we can not connect to vCenter server using vSphere Client version 5.1 or 5.5. We even tried to start the VMware VirtualCenter server using the services.msc console and it failed.

So we assume the port changes happened during upgrade of the SSO meets the HTTP port by vCenter server usage. We need help on how to manually change the ports for HTTP on the vCenter server.

Suggestions forward. This problem is with the production servers.

    Thank you

  • change the com port assigned to the fax and scan

I used fax and scanning for once.  I had to move my external modem to a different port.

I don't know how to change the windows fax and scan com port manually.

the wizard does NOT start, I guess because the fax is installed and worked until I had to change the number of COM port...  I need to change the number of pot with hundreds of research, it seems that no one knows how to change manually the Compote in windows fax and scan, unless they use the wizard.

my assistant does not start. I guess I'm 'old school' I don't need an Assistant, I need to manually change the fax uses com port.

:-), it's frustrating because help said only: click "fax" in the lower left corner, and they all assume the installation wizard starts and everything will be fine. :-(

the wizard does not start. :-(

I am desperate to get my fax work and need to know how to set the correct port number in a system that is installed and running, such as the wizard never starts.

for anyone who goes out at the end of questions and ideas, I have a fax application stand alone who is working with the new port setting. It's just not a good app for my needs

    Hi John,.

You can follow the steps below to change the COM port for a modem:

    1. search the Device Manager.

2 look for the Modem device, right-click on it, and then click Properties.

    • If the change settings button is present, you must click on it to make changes to the appliance. If the user account control dialog box appears, confirm that the displayed action corresponds to what you want, and then click continue.
    • If the change settings button is not present, the modem does not support the ability to change the modem settings. Refer to the documentation provided by the vendor of your modem.

    3. on the Advanced tab, click Advanced port settings.

    • If this option is not displayed, the modem does not support the ability to change the assigned COM port. Refer to the documentation provided by the vendor of your modem.

If the same persists, we suggest that you post your query in Microsoft TechNet so that their support team will provide you in-depth assistance.

    Kind regards.

  • Select < of the Listener Port number > in which_table?

I am writing a SQL script which, among other things, disconnects from Oracle and then reconnects to the same instance under a different name. I'm able to query v$ database and v$ instance to get most of the information I need (host, name of service, etc.) for the part of reconnect. The only part that miss me is the listener port number. I could hardcode it 1521, but it's not very flexible. Currently, I am asking the user (who is usually me) for the listening port number in the SQL script, but that just seems a little lame. So my question is this: is there a view or a table somewhere in the schema sys that I could use to display the configuration of the earpiece? I work mainly with the gr 10, 2 + databases.

No, I don't think that that is maintained in one of the views and is not soemthing that you should believe would keep have changed (if the implementation of the network people are good). In order to check once and you should be fine.

  • Change the default port

Can someone point me to a document that describes the steps to change the default port (8080) to another port on an existing Foglight environment?

The Foglight Management Server (FMS) port is configured in FMSHOME/config/server.config:

    # These options are required, they must be configured for the server starts

    #

    Server.http.port = "8080";

    Server.HTTPS.port = "8443";

You can change them by modifying the config file and restart the FMS.

    BUT:

Remember that all Management Agent Foglight (FglAMs) use this port to send data to the FMS.

Foglight users may have bookmarked FMS URLs with the original port number.

Under Unix, a process must have permissions root a low numbered path (if you thought to change port 80)

To make the seemless transition, you should consider implementing some sort of system (for example with an Apache web server) port forwarding so that agents and users who use the original port will not break.

    Kind regards

  • How to change the infrared port on Satellite M30 to be IrDA to be direct IR?

    Hello world

I just bought a new watch that should be able to communicate with a pc via the infrared port (it's the Polar S710).
Unfortunately, it does not work as the 'Protocol' of the watch is directIR, rather than be IrDA, as is my cell phone.

I saw somewhere that it would be possible to change the infrared port of my laptop in order to operate in directIR. Anyone know the procedure? I think I could change something directly in the driver, but I did not how to deal with.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that it of not possible to change the IrDA Protocol on the laptop.
But have you tried to update the software polar?

  • Manually change the brightness on the display screen.

How to change the brightness when the blue Fn key don't decrease the screen brightness but don't don't increase the brightness of the screen.  How to manually change the brightness of the screen without the keyboard shortcut keys (they do not work)?

Depends on the brand and model of your laptop. Did you install drivers from the manufacturer, or done it with XP (assuming that you do not have XP) pre-installed. For example, on my Gateway laptop, Fn + F8 lights up the screen, and then if I press it again, it fades. Or with keys Fn + I can brighten it gradually, and Fn + darkens it gradually.

You can figure out or dim the monitor in the video control panel (again, this depends on the manufacturer of card or portable video). Right-click on your desktop and choose Properties. Then go to settings, advanced and then (probably) the video card/chipset that is installed. Somewhere there may be settings to adjust the brightness or gamma of the display. Without knowing your material, I can't say for sure, but it would be the starting point.

  • Continue to change the views of folders under Vista

Windows Vista has a tendency of capricciously changing the settings "Folder views" (tiles to details, etc.) and even delete the column headings used to "group by". Is there a solution? Is fixed in Vista 7?

NEVER use a registry cleaner no matter what the case - Vista does a great job on its own and, most registry cleaners do nothing useful (even if the analysis indicates that it is 5999 errors that must be repaired and can be repaired if ypu buy program) or can do much harm (to the point where the only option is a clean install of the operating system).  There is not a single registry cleaner I can recommend (and there are probably hundreds of them out there).  IMHO, for Vista registry cleaners are a scam (and a dangerous one at that).

You can change the views of files according to your needs (you have only 5 choices if you change the default templates - well you can always choose only 5, but the choice may be more in your order).  This is true regardless of the type of files contained in the files (once you change models, although the model chosen will depend on the type of file).

Here's how to change the default template for a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html.  Default behavior is to select the model based on the first type of file placed in the folder (you must choose something).  Vista sets the folder type template according to what are the types of files in the window and the settings display window Explorer. This will show how to reset the display settings for the Windows File Explorer, disable Automatic folder Type Discovery (which is I think what you want)and increase the folder display the cache to make Vista do not forget the display settings, the folder type template, the size or the position of a specific window for when it was still closed to the location of specific path.

It does not work with the Sub record under, Open with, open in a new tab (Internet Explorer), etc... dialog windows of type through the good File menu bar item. These don't seem to be able to have their size or their position to recall. For the latter, you can use the free program AutoSizer to resize them.

Here is another article on how to modify the columns in Windows Explorer and sort in Vista: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/108665-column-customize.html.  This will show you how Add, Remove, move, change the widthand change the sort order of the columns in Windows Explorer in the way that you want.

Here is another article on how to change the display of the default folders in Vista (but she argues, it is not a perfect solution and can revert to the previous behavior is not as good as the two prior links provided: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-10019957-68.html.)

I hope this helps in your situation.

    Good luck!

  • How to use the Explorer under Vista? Like in XP, I was able to change the 'view' of all the files that have been hidden.

I want to change the view and see all the files.  Reason is to move files from one hard disk to another instead of doing the method of file transfer.

Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / view and scroll down and check the box to show the hidden files and folders.  In addition, uncheck to hide system files. In addition, uncheck to hide extensions of known file types (the last because it can be useful and worth while you're brings other changes).  Your problem should be solved.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Photosmart HP 6520: lost my photosmart 6520 by manually changing the server address

    Hello
My printer is connected wireless and prints well by AirPrint and when I send it jobs by email, but after successfully scanning to e-mail several times it suddenly wouldn't connect to the Internet, which gives an error message. Tried to turn it works several times. Leva help on the forum and follow-up of boards to manually change the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 another server. This resulted in my losing access to my printer via his IP on my browser so I can't undo my actions and my printer always gives the error message when I ask him to scan to e-mail. All other functions work.
    Help, please. Thank you

    Hey @Kybosh,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you are having connectivity problems with your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 6520, printer.  I want to help you with this.

I'm surprised that a manual DNS has interfered with your setup - I think generally it does the opposite and enhances connectivity.  In any case, do not despair!   I have some suggestions that can restore the features of your printer.

I recommend a fresh start by restoring the default settings of your printer to avoid any persistent configuration problem.  Here's how:

    • Front panel of the printer, press the key
    • Touch tools
    • Touch Restore Factory Defaults
    • * Note that this will reset your settings wireless and webservices.  If you have an address custom ePrint it is deleted permanently.  Click here for more information about setting up a custom address ePrint.

With your restored default settings, continue on as indicated:

    • Touch the wireless icon ()
    • Run the Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect to your network (SSID)
    • Enter the wireless password if prompted
    • Once you have created a wireless connectivity, reactivate your webservices/ePrint feature (essential for the use of scan to e-mail)
    • Tap the icon of webservices ()
    • Enable Web services and press OK to enable your printer will automatically update
    • Once completed, it will print a page of information.  If you are looking to complete an ePrint installation, it will be useful later - click here for more information.

Now, if all goes well you can rebuild your Setup email scan:

    • Tap the scan icon
    • Tap the scan to E-mail
    • Enter your personal email address
    • Retrieve the PIN code of your Inbox
    • Enter the PIN on your requested to complete printer installation

The above restore the functionality you were missing?

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below.

Please post in the Forum of HP's Support and have a great day!

Just out of curiosity, too, no one knows what else S189/S190 updates change?

Cisco supports only configurations using the CLI interface. The ssh port cannot be changed through the CLI. Modifying the files in config system via the service account is not a good idea and not supported.

  • Manually change the lyrics of MP3 in Windows 7

I've been looking for a way to manually add/edit the words of MP3s in Windows 7. I know that the support for this function (which was present in Windows Media Player 11) has been suspended in the last version of Windows Media Player. I also found some tips on the use of http://www.lyricsplugin.com/ plug-in for Windows Media Player, but even using that, I couldn't find a way to edit the lyrics 'manually'.

I listen to international music for which a lyric is not usually by using this plug-in automatically, so I really need to "manually" change the words.

    What do you think?

The Windows Media Player Plus! plug-in adds a new WMP tag editor, which you can use to add words. After you have installed Windows Media Player Plus!, right click on a song you want to add lyrics to, select more tags editor , go to Advanced . Right-click on a label, select Add , and choose WM/lyrics .

Note that the method above will not integrate the words actually in the MP3 file. To do this, you need to use a tool of external marking as Mp3tag . Tim Baets
