Manually delete the printer

My Canon LBP 5000 worked fine in Windows 7 (64 bit), but after upgrading to Windows 8 it is causing crashes.

for example, Word and Excel (2010) crashes when you try to enumerate printers. Sometimes, stop the spooler service brings the app, not always.

I managed to print once, very well, but have no idea why it worked then and no more.

(Yes, I tried the printer troubleshooting tool - no help.) No, Canon does not provide specific drivers of Windows 8).

I read that reinstalling with Setup in Windows 7 compatibility mode can help, but before I could try that I have to uninstall the printer.

However, Windows cannot do. (for example via Control Panel, devices and printers, use the delete command - it breaks down after 20 seconds to try something.)

-What regedit hack should I do to remove a local printer?

-Edit-

In case it is useful to anyone with a similar problem:

I decided to just use regedit to find all occurrences of the name of my printer and delete it. Hack and slash. I then re-directed the setup.exe for the printer, with compatibility for Win 7, and as administrator mode. So far, it seems to work. But I'll return in a day or two if it doesn't--yet.

Hello

Try uninstalling in Device Manager, and then try to DELETE in devices and printers...

In fact, you don't HAVE to remove to uninstall the drivers and software, but my experience is that things go more easily if you do.

Thank you, but no. Normal (through a window) was not working.

Finally just did the regedit thing and delete everything I have seen with the name of the printer in it.

This seemed to work and welcomed the new driver to install, so it's good.

Unfortunately (coincidence?) the printer is now (i.e. after printing 1 page after installing the new driver!) complain about calibration, that Googling autour seems common with this model, so it seems that I then have to take to the printer with a screwdriver and give it a good cleaning.

Sigh.

I am migrating our server F & P from 2003 to 2008.  I created all of the printers in server 2008 and tested, and they print correctly.  Test the issue I am running is this: I can add the printer Server 2008 for fine local workstation, but users are unable to print the new queue.  If I go ahead and deleted the printer and remove the driver completely and then add the printer on 2008 server works very well.  So, I'm looking for a way to remove printers and drivers of each workstation via Group Policy or batch scripts to make my life easier.  Thank you.

  • Error 0 x 00000709 when you try to delete the print job and/or pritner.

    Original title: error 0 x 00000709.

I have a dell laptop running windows vista Home premium SP1 with a 64-bit operating system.  I tried to remove a printer HP 1310 on my computer and it is stuck on "suppression of 1", I stop, then restart the printer spooler and now I have error 0 x 00000709 when you try to delete the print job and/or pritner.   What can I do to remove this printer.   I installed a Canon MX330 printer, but due to the printer HP being locked, I can't print with a PictBridge compatible printer.

    Hi LauraD,

You can try to remove the printer from the safe mode and check.

    Step 1:

You can read the following article to start in safe mode:

Start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2: Remove the printer.

You can read the following article to remove the printer.

    Add or remove a printer

After deleting the printer, you can start in normal mode and try to install Canon printer.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Manually clear the print queue in Windows 8

Sometimes, when you go to print, it may get stuck in the queue. This may be due to several problems such as communication lag or a mistake. Ultimately the print job can print, however, there are cases where the print job is and as it is at the top of the list of the other documents are printed is no longer.

Is there a way to manually clean the print queue, so that you can ensure that no print jobs are following other print jobs. The video below will show you how to manually clear the print queue in Windows 8.

I hope that the video turns out to be useful.

Now if the print job is in the queue, or is 'stuck' may have another issue at hand. Here are two articles with troubleshooting on the resolution of the print jobs that are stuck in the print queue. If anyone has problems or questions feel free to post them below.

  • Cannot delete the printer from the "printers".

OfficeJet 6500 a Plus.  Connected by cable to the xp machine.  Has been used in wireless mode successfully for more than a year of a machine Win 8. Some how it did not work, but I could not remove the window 'printer '. I had to download and reload the driver to use the printer.  But I can not yet remove the printer "old."   The new printer is named "HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z (network).  The old printer is called "HP7F8C60 (HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z). Can't use it or remove it. Thank you.

Thank you for your quick response.  I could just delete it by clicking on delete.  I went through the following sequence messy and finally had success.

I have a right-click on properties and tried each element. I got error on each of them, messages which are the most common response (80%), "printer can not be deleted. Double check the name, and make sure that the printer is connected to the network'.» Sometimes, I would get an error code. (Mentally I was not ready to dig that right now.)

I could not change the name, or connect to any network. I tried for a half hour and failed several times on each of the elements. Then I clicked on 'Shortened' again (I don't know why!). This time, it reduces the number of points on the 'properties' of 10 points to 5 or 6. The item "Refresh" remained. I clicked "Refresh", and the printer has disappeared! I do not remember the sequence, or how many times I tried each item, but I have to hit the right combination and when, because the wrong printer icon has disappeared, and the good printer works.  Thanks for everyone's interest and help.

  • M127fw MFP: How to delete the print jobs in the queue?

When I get an error message when trying to print, I keep trying to print.  This means that I can hit 'print' five times for the same document, because I hit 'print' whenever I think I might finally have something fixed.

The problem is that HP never forget any of these applications - when it finally starts printing - it always prints every single job - meaning that I get multiple copies of jobs for which I got an error message.

Where is the interface to view and delete these jobs? I can't find it on the printer itself.  Is there an interface where I can delete jobs in the queue?

Go to devices and printers and double click on the printer icon. Now click on something like seeing what is printing a list of documents should appear and you can pass by and remove whatever ones you want.

  • HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw: delete the print job?

This should be very simple, but my grandma brain can't seem to find where to delete a print job from the printer.  Someone at - it help him?

HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

    Thank you!

    Cindy S.

There is nothing like you have had on the inkjet.  LaserJet is very fast that so generally they do not need store work as they are printed as they are sent and receive jobs one at a time and sometimes hold jobs in memory according to the size and the number of jobs received at the same time.  Only way to cancel is to hit labour to cancel it or the 'X' button depending on the model.  Storage of the work is available on some LaserJet of top-level with HDD storage, control and retrievel of jobs, but most of the time with the LaserJet you do not have this option.  Printers large format HP also have the possibility to store jobs (location and nesting), change the print order, etc., but again, what are printers with hard and special drivers built into the software to handle these tasks.

  • Damn backup Rescue & Recovery remove system - steps to manually delete the reg entries?

After a 3 hour wait, I am convinced that this piece of crap called Rescue and Recovery is the worst of Lenovo systems.   I had 4 backups using 43 GB.  I wanted to delete all, because I need the space.  So I went to the R & R through Lenovo (T410) of the cutting-edge tools and it shows 4 backups (1 for each month spent).  I thought that I should start with the oldest backup.   So I hit the button remove next to the oldest date I saw there, and it has been running for 3 hours and there is no end to this, I think, even if the hard drive shows activity.   I wanted to post here to see if the process ends the 43 GB of compensation from one day to the next.  I am ready to leave my PC to work from one day to the next, if others have noticed that it is a slow process, beyond imagination.   But, if I kill this process in the middle and remove the C:\RRbackups manually in the file system, which will mess up other parties (such as the registry).  So I wanted to see if anyone knows the necessary manual procedure (after the murder of this process) to a clean deletion beyond file system.  I sat with this shit called Rescue and Recovery for most of today, and it makes me think that this software is too crappy than DELL.    Frustrated...

I can't answer why it takes so long to just perform a deletion, but I'd let it run the course as long as you see the disk activity.

I know that if you uninstall Rescue and Recovery, then wipe the previous backups and your backup disk, reinstall Rescue and Recovery and start over just too.

    Good luck
