Many Add - ons unverified after FF43 update

Many Add-ons appeared as not verified after FF43 update. I used them for a long time and they were perfectly fine with previous versions of FF. How can I continue to use? Even the dictionary with my local language and the DAP are unverified. How can I use external modules installed, rather than the site of Mozilla, like DAP add-on for example, that came with the installation of DAP again? Button of Pinterest coming Pinterest site also does not work.

My suggestion is to add unverified option Add-ons for could be enabled too also manually by the user. With the adequate warning that this is recommended for users experienced.

I don't mind provide your comments because it would probably unnecessary as "feedback". Just, let me remind that users - their number and their satisfaction - is it that help a browser to be at the top. When I switched from IE to FF, it was because FF satisfies me a lot more, and it has been and still is the best browser imho. But nothing is constant, even the love of fans hardliners like me, and who are one thing is constant could only make a mistake.

PS. I suggested something, but not to appear that I run from the problem.

  • Even if I have to many Add-ons, only present in my module bar (Adblock Plus). I use Firefox 18.0.1.

Here are two ways I tried to solve the problem, but not avail, unfortunately:

Files deleted from my profile as shown on a mozilla support Web site and restarted firefox folder.

With the help of Revo Unistaller is a deep uninstall (not only removes all the firefox program files but also some registry entries, the user prefs etc), rebooted the machine. Downloaded and installed Mozilla 18.0.1 and added all add-ons that I use mainly. I also tried to use the classic theme of the compact, but back to default to try to solve this problem.

  • Why do lose all my favorites, settings and Add ons in the recent update of Aurora?

When I was using Aurora happened to crash so I restarted as I normally would when this happens, but when it restarted, there has been a new version (Firefox Developer Edition) and not a single bookmark, folder, add on etc. remained (not to mention my previous session who had quite a few little trivial tabs (, but some a little more important and ALL my story disappeared). When I tried to go to Sync and see if that would restore whatever it is the option to put in my recovery key was not found though in Sync FAQ he mentioned this old way of using sync can still be used. So I made an account email and password and still unable to find a way to sync everything I lost. I searched around the frequently asked questions and not been able to find a resource to help to my question.

I've been a loyal user of Firefox (since 2005) and I will continue to be, but it really took me by surprise because even in the previous updates, I never had a problem like this.

Help what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • FF slow loading, maybe because of too many that add ons. those who know turn off? Thank you.

FF was loading very slow for me lately, and I think that may be too many Add ons, but I don't know which ones is necessary and those that are not. Thanks for any advice.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    Is a few weeks ago.

The images are of your plugins and you have only 13 of the images, but you have either deleted or disabled some of them as only 10 are in plug-ins installed at the bottom of your post. not a large number.

    What your extensions?

There may be many reasons for any slow application at startup. Without more information, or to be in front of your system, it is difficult to diagnose. 2 suggestions below.

    Firefox Safe Mode
You may need to use questions Troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode (click on "Safe Mode" and reading) to locate the problem. Firefox Safe mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox. If you are using a theme, place you in the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > Themes before start Safe Mode. When you enter Safe Mode, do not check all the items in the window, just click "continue mode without failure." A test to see if the problem you are experiencing is fixed.

    See:
Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
Solve problems with plugins like Flash or Java to solve the common problems of Firefox
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Firefox

If the problem does not occur in mode without failure, then disable all your Extensions and Plug-ins, and then try to find out who is causing by allowing both the problem reappears. You MUST close and restart Firefox after EACH change via file > restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit). You can use 'Disable all add-ons' on the start safe mode window.

  • I just updated Firefox and now it crashes, does not not tabs or add-ons, and the user interface is all messed up.

I was power off update of Firefox for a while because I knew some of my modules aren't compatible yet, and the main reason I use firefox is because of the multitude of modules. Finally today I decided to go and let it install. As soon as he returns to the top, it's completely different from the way I had my firefox. The buttons are all moved around, each tab has two Xs to close with the back button does not work, there is no way to scroll more tags do not take on the screen and for some reason the firefox button is not collapse in the main beam.

My session has not been restored, either, which really annoyed me, because I had a very high volume of open tabs. Right now I just want to come back, because I hate what happened, but I know that's not possible.

I'm sorry to hear that you have so many questions. What version of Firefox you used before?

The problem of double title bar has been identified as a problem with the extension of the tax Mix Plus but it does not affect everyone, there is an interaction with something else (not exactly what clear although Norton Toolbar has been mentioned in a thread).

There is a new version available that you can try. If Firefox is stable enough to do...

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons > ' gear' icon > check updates

If your beta version does not update, you can try to install from the Add-ons site.

More generally, can I suggest disabling the extensions as much as you can live without for 24 hours and gradually reactivate? This should help isolate the interactions between them. As you know, you can do so here:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Finally, about your old session, if you have not closed Firefox, you could find a sessionstore.bak file in your profile folder that contains your old session. For easy access to this file, try

Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

Grab a copy of this file and save it somewhere outside the folder because it is overwritten when you close Firefox. Had to run, but if find you one with a suitable date, a person can help you to restore.

  • My diappeared of taskbar background in FF29! I have the buttons Add ons it and now can't use them!

After the FF29, I lost my theme that doesn't make me happy, but I've accepted it. But lately I have say the taskbar background integer disappeared and I couldn't see modules line Add-Block +, adds ot Twitter, check the links, Quick Translator Page. How can I make it appear again?

It happened at work, until I can't find an acceptable solution I will not upgrade to FF29 home.

I understand what you are going through. I lost all my Add ons, when I've updated also. I only use Lightbeam and Firebug was not a big deal. I don't know why this update acted as a new facility, but he did. Basically, you'll have to find the Add-ons and re-install them. Many people do not know this so I'll tell you just to be sure. The Firefox button is always there that she has just a different look and location. This is the icon with three horizontal lines at the top right. From there on, it is no different. Hope that you can find every thing.

  • -Add-ons not no projection in the add-on after the 42.0 Update Manager

After the update to Firefox 42.0, when I open the Add-ons Manager, show none of my modules that were there already, and there is the message "You have no Add - ons of this type installed". However, the Add-ons are definitely still installed and still work.

    Windows 7 Edition Home Premium.

Hmm, a user in another thread said extensions endangered at Windows startup. Sometimes 'cleaning' software will change the files in the profile folder of Firefox on a calendar, including at Windows startup. If you have a software like that, you can exclude Firefox?

    Two other thoughts:

    (1) you use a complete theme? It is more than a nice toolbar background and can affect the functioning of the integrated pages.

    (2) in case there is a problem with the damaged program files, you can try this:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 42.0 https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) simply rename the folder of the current programme, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

Page modules work in the reinstalled Firefox? If this is not the case, there is always a problem in the profile folder.

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

Otherwise, there is no reason to keep the old folder except research/curiosity.

  • After the update I have Yahoo! in my top next to bookmarks bar. How can I delete everything on my firefox yahoo? I already deleted it in the add ons.

I removed yahoo since the Add-ons Manager and delete toolbar yahoo and yahoo but on my top bar theme, the bar that says Firefox then file edit view history bookmarks and now there is Yahoo!. I don't want something on yahoo on my computer. How can I remove this? No matter how many times I reset my search yahoo somehow interferes. I'm really disappointed that when I updated firefox you have installed something like that of yahoo. I appreciate all help to get rid of yahoo, so I must not remove firefox.

«the bar that says Firefox then file edit view bookmarks history and now there is Yahoo»

It looks like you may have installed the Firefox Yahoo - a special construction made by Yahoo edition. Usually says in help > about Firefox.

If this is the case, uninstalling as special construction and by installing a true construction obtained directly from Mozilla should get rid of Yahoo, except for the search engine and some default preferences which are fairly easily modified.

  • Unable to scroll 1 pixel (Alt + mouse wheel) more (after updating FF from 12.0 to 20.0.1) - is there a solution without Add-ons?

Since I need a pixel of ScrollBar of the browser window, in FF 12.0 I used:

    MouseWheel.withaltkey.action = 4

    MouseWheel.withaltkey.numlines = 1

    MouseWheel.withaltkey.sysnumlines = false

and I was able to use Alt + wheel to scroll the content of only 1 pixel.

However, after updated to FF 20.0.1 Alt + mouse wheel stopped working so I try to reactivate the feature, but without success. According to me, there were a few changes from 17 FF:

    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/Gecko:Mouse_Wheel_Scrolling

Pixel scrolling seem to be now removed from suggestions, action = 4 once upon a time "Document scroll by a number of pixels (given by the numlinesrequired property)" and now it says:

' Note that unlike 16 or earlier, you cannot specify the unit values of delta such as scrolling by pixel, line or page. That is, you cannot specify the value of deltaMode of DOM WheelEvent with all preferences. Under Windows, the unit of scrolling is online or page with the mouse wheel. »

Is there a solution to re - activate a pixel scrolling without having to install Add - ons (each add-on for smooth scrolling some other behavior changes)?

There was changes in the prefs of mousewheel as a result of the implementation of the DOM3 (Bug 719320) scrolling mouse wheel.

I don't think that it is possible to replace / adjust the amount of scrolling when you use a modifier key for a certain number of pixels.

There is only the delta multipliers that change the number of lines (33 changes scrolling amount to one-third), so probably closed you can get is to assign the action to the modifier Alt 1 (or 1% of the default).

You can change mousewheel.*.delta_multiplier_y prefs (vertical axis) to change the vertical scroll amount.

    • MouseWheel.system_scroll_override_on_root_content. Enabled-> true
    • MouseWheel.with_control.delta_multiplier_y
  • After the last update wmp plugin is missing in Add-ons, but is still correct installed. Reinstall will not work. What can I do?

I been lissening to online radio. Necessary to update Firefox. After the last update the windows media player plugin has disappeared from the list of Add-ons, while always being correct installation. I reinstalled it, but that has not worked. I have replaced/deleted some files in firefox as suggested, for similar problems, but that no longer works.
Now, I can not play wmp files on firefox.

Hope you can help me solve this problem.

    Found a solution:

Go in Subject: config and change plugins.load_appdir_plugins from false to true. Apparently FF21 assigns the value false by default causing it to not detect plug-ins installed in this way.

  • After the update to Firefox 6, tools/add-ons hangs "Loading"... »

After update, Firefox informed me that Flash Player is outdated. I've updated that and restarted Firefox without any problems.

  • Is there a reason that all the Add-ons do not work after updated 3.6.15 up-to-date?

Updated 3.6.15 and my custom extensions/add-ons are not working or projection upward out of the list of modules. I tried without decommissioning (3.16.14 & 3.5.7) and they still appear. Y at - it a stable version to get Adblock Plus to operate, at least? Or is it another kind of problem?

There may be a problem with one of the files which stores details of the installed extensions. Try to delete these files as described in the section "Corrupt extension files" of this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons

Although this article is not specifically about your problem, the method indicated in the corrupted files extension section can help. When you restart Firefox after you delete these files, the list of installed extensions is rebuilt and cela hopefully solve your problem.

  • After the last update 38.0.5, I lost all my Add-ons, my skins, my homepage. I now have ads everywhere! Help

My Windows 7 laptop updated to the latest version of firefox, all of a sudden, my skin was gone, my homepage has changed (easy fix), but all my modules where gone.
I have just re-downloaded adblock and pop-up block etc, but they don't seem to work as I see now adds absolutely everywhere, where I was not yet aware, they would have existed.
    He drives me crazy!
I see an 'old firefox data' folder has been created on my desktop, but how to restore the same Add-ons that I had this issue before? and actually, they work or they don't work with the new version of firefox?

I am connected to sync, but modules has been unchecked, so no luck there.
I really didn't care about skin, but please get rid of all those ads!

I put lots of them modules adblock for facebook, you tube etc, but I don't know if they are in conflict with each other or they don't work.
Everything before I worked a charm. I only had 2 of them and they never show me ads.
No idea how to get them back and they work?
    Thank you very much

  • Firefox said I need to update my Add ons and plug-ins at startup after rebooting my laptop

I'm running 10.0.2 and I get several tabs when I first launch firefox saying I need to install Update Add ons. I go through each one and click Add and then restart firefox and everything is fine. later, when I turn my laptop back and then start firefox I get the same message. Firefox is not save or recognizing the add ons that have already been installed. What should I do to fix this?

If you cannot disable this feature in the program, try Bitdefender forum.
