  With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig. You will find the three points and they will have a description 'file is missing' against everyone. Your antivirus software has removed the files, but not the startup entries in the registry. All you need to do is delete the entry using Autoruns to eliminate the error messages.

  Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

  In the Group Policy Editor, right-click on administrative templates, add/remove templates.

  Restore the computer to an earlier time, this does not restore the deleted files.

  Try to run the sfc (System File Checker) scan to find and fix missing or corrupt system files.
  a. Click Start, click Run, type cmd and click ok.
  b. at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow and press ENTER.
  c. If you are prompted, enter the Windows XP CD in order to complete the scan.
  Note: The version of the service pack on CD must match the version of the service pack installed on the computer.
  d. restart the computer and check the difference.

  My library files are missing and there are under 'Name' \My Documents User\ has some directories, but they are mostly empty and not all there.  I don't know what happened, the computer crashed and they were gone and I restored it to the previous date, but no change.  The file 'Name' was a symbol of lock on it and I don't know how he got there - he removed, but did not return the folders and files.   When I run the restore software, he finds some files and says that they are not deleted.  I have several back previous ups of most of the files, but just did a lot of purge and reorganization and to restore the folders and files in the same structure and place.   You can check the version of LR on the Help menu (System Info). Check that the version corresponds to what you think you have. However, as you use the same icon as always, it is probably not this problem but it is possible that your shortcut has changed by the operating system. Your external drive disconnected by accident? If it is mounted in the same location - i.e. the same volume name (Mac) or the letter drive (windows).

  In an Explorer window, click on organize, select folder and Search Options. On the view tab, select Show hidden files and folders and apply them.

  You can also use the unhide.exe program, which is located towards the end of tis section.

• Why can't I export photos in my collections folder PScc even if there is no '?' showing the files are missing?

  I'm new to LR. I fell 165 photos in a collection, developed a bunch of them in LR and now wish to export some PS 2015cc but when I try to do a right click to open in PS it is grayed out in unauthorized function. There is no '?' to indicate that the files are missing. I find the original files on my hard drive and they are still there.  I have no problem to export to browser images or other files in the Collections. I noted that these 165 photos is not found in LR in navigation in their original as the disk file hard (do not know if this is normal once pictures is added to a collection). I tried to synchronize the file on the hard disk in the browser, but it shows no pictures to move. I don't remember how I put the first photos in this collection originally but now wonder if I've set up wrong in the first place, but I can't spend a some of them out of this collection file without this poop place "all selected files are missing. No file cannot be moved. I have watched many videos and read lots and lots of tutorials and nothing has solved this dilemma. I can't solve this problem on mine, any help would be appreciated!

  In the LR library, go to the files Panel and find the right folder with thumbnails. Then right-click (Ctrl-click) on the name of the folder and choose "Update folder location"

  Navigate to the folder on your hard drive or external hard drive, and then choose the folder where the pictures are stored.

  LR should automatically update the links to the catalog.
