Map chart and power requirements

Hello.. I recently bought an ATI Radeon 4650 graphic card for my Acer Aspire 8450 Desktop computer.  This graphics card is GREAT! I used it to play games like REsident Evil 5 and the most recent call of the games service and up to now it works very well... my question is about the requirements of the card.  I have a 250 watt power supply and graphics card says it is recommended to have at least a 400 watt power supply.  I'm afraid that my computer can burn or something to use with this graphics card.  Is this ok for me to use it like that? It will burn out my CPU on my PC to play games like resident evil 5 or gears of war with him.  I wanted to buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 tomorrow when it comes out but I'm a little worried about this how to use my computer, I mean if the card box indicates that he recommends a 400 Watt power supply and I have 250 watts.  It would be ok for me to use in this way? Please let me know... everyone... Thank you very much!

It is HIGHLY recommended to get a power supply to meet the system requirements. Initially, it wouldn't make much difference. If you are a hardcore "gamer", I suggest you to upgrade your power supply, since the extreme game CAN cause your power supply to burn. Why take risks? Right? Spend little dough and get a higher rated PSU...

Hello everyone so I bought the new Dragon Age game: Inquisition for my pc and the computer is only around the age of 2 months, but the game is slow so my graphics card is not powerful enough, and I can't understand map of what chart or power supply for that will be compatible with my computer. I see I'm going to need them both.

    specifications of the PC

"HP Pavilion 500-223w desktop PC (ENERGY STAR)
    Product number: F3D69AA

    8 GB ram

    150 mm x 140 mm x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) power supply 300wat (I want to upgrade)

    Hello

I ran a simulator for Dragon Age: Inquisition and the processor and the memory of your 500-223w HP meet or exceed the recommended requirements. However, the video on your PC does not meet the recommended level even at 1024 by 768 resolution.  The 750 NVIDIA also would not meet the recommended requirements even at 1024 by 768 resolution.

The power supply should be replaced to support a graphics card that meets the recommended requirements.

The Corsair CX600would be a great choice because it fits the HP power existing dimensions. $65

TheAMD R9 270would exceed the recommended requirements for Dragon Age: Inquisition. They are on sale from $100.  Make a measure within yiour PC.  This Sapphire R9 270model would be a good choice for discount afer $130

  • I3 4130 map graphics and Power supply

Hey guys, I have an i3 4130 with 8 GB of ram,

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04119419

Of course, this processor and ram are good for the game, as I have seen online videos of people playing bf4 and crysis 3. I also want to play these games and cs: GB and dirty bomb and dragon age.  I don't really like playing high heat, the middle is fine for me.  I really want to get a r9 x 270 BC, they are in a large part to the best buy right now.  I will also buy a 650W power supply to go with it. My boyfriend is a geek and can install it for me. I took action, and I can fit such a graphics card or the gtx 660, in my case. [cards that are 10 x 4]

However, I saw in another post that my motherboard has a connector 4-pin. Is this bad? The website says that my motherboard can support up to an i7 uprade!... So why not other new powerful pieces such as a GPU or a power supply.  I get that HP does not have computers for games. Why would they do a motherboard that can run an i7, but not an equally powerful GPU. I get that HP does not have the gaming PC, but those of office. However, it is the PC in my family study, so I'll try to make it work.

Another way is for ma to get the GTX 750, because this card has a minimum required 300w power supply.

However, a person in another forum said that HP uses cheap power supplies and will not have enough tension on the 12v rail. is this true?  If this way works, I definitely don't go this way as it is easy... also no need external with this map of power cord. However, if my power supply does not have enough Volts on the 12v rail, so I'll just take the graphics card I want and needed food.

It's really frustrating me because I played some very old games [rtcw, and] with friends on teamspeak at night and my integrated graphics card could handle, but now they are turning on modern games that I can't play and I reallly want to understand this before you go and spend a lot of money. Thanks for any response.

    Andrew, welcome to the forum.

A: I definitely recommend that you try the EVGA GTX 750 Ti.  I read a lot of good things about it.  It does not all the connectors extra power on the power supply.  Regarding the PSU in HP computers is lousy, the fact is that they install the power supply that is compatible with the OEM components.  Even if their computer can be upgraded, they design that enable out of the box.  You can try with the current 300W PSU, but if it does not work, I suggest you buy a power supply at least 500W; 600W would be even better for futute upgrades.

  • Update of map chart/PSU (power supply) for Lenovo Thinkcentre A70-7844C1U

    Specifications of the computer:

    Lenovo Thinkcentre A70-7844C1U

Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core E5500 (2.80 GHz)

4 GB of DDR3 RAM (upgrading to 2 GB)

Intel GMA X 4500 (integrated graphics)

    180-watt power supply

I decided my computer needed some activities if I wanted to play some games like Minecraft and Team Fortress 2.

I wanted to change my original graphics to something like a Nvidia Geforce GT 220 (minimum 300-watt power supply)

But then, I realized that my computer power supply was less than the minimum requirement for the new graphics card.

I was wondering if it was OK to always install a dedicated video card or if I needed to upgrade my diet as well.

If I need to upgrade my power supply, what do you recommend for me? (budget: $ 100 - $200)

    Thanks, Vguys!

  • Map chart and PowerSupply Upgrade Plus a few questions

Before you begin, my PC is HP Pavilion p7-1167 c desktop PC.

I was planning on upgrading my graphics card to a MSI GeForce GTX 760 2 GB Twin Frozr Gaming OC graphics card.

And either a Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2 600W PSU or a Corsair HX650 650 Watt power supply.

in any case, on the issues.

    (1) these are compatible with my PC?

    (2) the graphics card will fit in my case?

    (3) this will void my warranty?

    Thank you.

    (1) number and YES... Your computer has a slot of PCIe x 16 v2.0 and the card you have chosen is v3.0 PCIe x 16. This can be retro-compatible. The Corsair CX600 will fit in the case, but you can opt for the CX600M. The CX600M is modular and will help in the management of cables and better air circulation.

    (2) the 760 GTX is a beast, and you may need to get a smaller (shorter map). Open the box and measure along the crack of PCIe x 16 from the back of the housing to the front until you reach an obstruction.  Just below that is the longest card desired.

    (3) No, unless your computer is damaged by installing these accessories.

BUT HIS SUPPORT in raytracer supported cards list

When I opened after effects cc and I go to prefrences it shows like this

And when I go to Adobe cs6 first that it does not play back video wenn 'reading acceleration GPU (cuda) mercury engine' is on its in black only and I mean just the sound of the video in the project, so I have to change it to read only software engine mercury.

the name of the graphics card is also listed in cuda supported cards in the installation of adobe cs6 first directory

    So why please help.

I found the problem.i am on 2 monitors. 1. connected to gtx 780 and 2. is connected to the motherboard.and, the motherboard uses the separate graphic driver (chart intel) that the nvidia gtx 780 first, I tried to swich intel graphics hd in bios.and it worked then was Gpusniffer able to find the 780 gtx, but I couldn't use one of the monitors cause it was disable to bios.then he came an idea to turn it on again but change the settings in windows.

so I did a right click on desktop > screen resolution > and select the monitor that was connected to the Nvidia card > make my main screen

    and finally here

graphics card is the latest driver again and no more problem.

Everything will be probably, but it's going to be very tight because the size of your cabinet is a small Tower.  The 470 from NVIDIA will put a lot of heat.  You may encounter some problems of movement of heat and air because of the size of your wardrobe.  Open it and take a look and see for yourself.  If you update you have to flow with the side panel or install another fan of the firm.

Food you mentioned is evaluated to 40 amps on the 12 volt bus.  EVGA GTX 470 recommends eating at least 38 amps on the bus + 12 volts.

  • Possibility to get a new video card and power supply

Hey everyone just curious if someone could lend a hand with some questions I have.

I currently have a HP Pavilion Elite

    Model number: HPE-171f

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Recently, I was looking around in my computer and I realized that I only have a 460w power supply. From the beginning, I knew I had to get a new power supply if I wanted to update my video card.

But then I realized that there are a few constraints of size with the case. I was curious if one of the most recent as the GTX 670 Nvidia cards or 660 (when it releases) would fit in this case. With a power supply.

I know it's an older case so with this question, I was wondering if its even possible/chip just to upgrade the card video and PS.

    Thanks for the help

Yes, you can update your map graphics and power for something bigger. The CX500, CX600 Corsair are highly recommended, are favorites of the forum and are known to adapt to most cases of HP. With a length of about 9.5 inches, the graphics card GTX 670 can be tight but feasible in your case... measure along the x 16 PCIe slot and look for potential problems. For more helpful advice, read Guide of Big_Dave of a discrete video card selection .

  • S1800 - cannot install SP2 as "power required".

    Hello

    S1800-712 Windows XP
I wonder if someone can help me. I tried to install SP2 and the message "Power" required for this upgrade but the laptop is plugged in, so it is not relying on the battery?
I tried to take on the battery and installation, same message.
I have a feeling that the problem is related to the fact that every time I turn on the laptop, on his boots upwards then before the login screen windows appears that he goes into hibernation, I can press the power and then button sparks in life and go to the login screen. The battery should replace - I ordered an and will try to reinstall sp2
Do you think my power settings are corrupt?

    Hi Richard,

You use the utility Toshiba Powere management rather than the Microsoft option?

If yes I will try to re-install the Toshiba utility, then goping through various power options to ensure that you are running on current alternative.

You can also get back to you the options of Microsoft Power even if they lack the flexibility of the version of Toshiba.

  • Looking for an AC adapter and power cord for a HP Pavilion 2 p-1105, PN:QW819AA. Parts order fiasco.

Not my computer, but my father, apparently he has lost the power adapter and power cord before he surrendered.

I have never had a difficult experience find a part, it's like the HP support site is this circular black hole. I understand that this isn't a standard power supply, but HP power cord... Seriously, why the specifications list and the list is not part numbers.

Call the customer support isn't much better, was routed from the line parts store to the HP Shopping, back to the parts store channel. Each single representative that I spoke too cannot identify this part.

a guy tried to tell me everything that I needed was a rope, according to the installation instructions, is not correct.

At this point, I'm extremely frustrated and very unlikely never recommend or buy an HP product again.

    Here are the specifications of the desktop HP Pavilion p2-1105. According to the specifications of the computer, this model requires an external power supply with the following features;

    External 90W power supply (100V-240V)

    Total wattage: 90W

    Input voltage:

    100-127V/3A (50-60 Hz)

    200-240 v/2A (50-60 Hz)

    Output voltage: 19V

Based on the HP part Surfer parts list for the product number: QW819AA - model name: desktop HP PAVILION P2 - 1105, the following seem to be what you are looking for.

    HP P/N 213349-001 - cord (black) - three sons, 3.0 m (9.8 ft) long - right taken C5 (F) (Canada and United States)

The motherboard of your PC has a standard connector for ATX 24-pin and an ATX connector four.  A Corsair 550 (series of manufacturers) must be exactly what need you. It will have all the capabilities of power required and connectors for your mother and peripheral card. ATX 12V v2.3 specification is the latest standard.
